The Division - 15 minutes of new gameplay

Hrm. I just got into the beta through Nvidia Germany (not sure how). Check your E-Mail PC folks.

edit: WAIT WHAT?!
I entered the Beta Code from NVIDA on the Uplay sight to register, then I get this Email from UBISOFT:
Hi Dictator93,
Thanks to your pre-order, you now have guaranteed Beta access,

You will be the first in line to access the game. We'll be in touch by email when the test phase will start.
-The Division team

To make it clear, I definitely did not pre-order lol. It probably is some sort of mistake and a general e-mail they send to people who enter codes from NV (presuming they got the game with a GPU or something).

Very nice
Anyone know what other options are available on console? Looks like you can scroll a bit.

Luckyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

just got a nvidia email as well with a division beta code. Did not want to pre-order but ill try the beta when its out next week!

I got the nvidia preorder also. I didn't pre-order or anything but my video card is only a few months old so maybe that's why?

I assume with NVIDIA doing this it confirms The Division will be another GameWorks title...just gotta hope for my sake it runs well enough on AMD cards

I rarely purchase Ubisoft games. Are they known for patching multiplayer games? This game could be great if they have a good patching plan, but it could also be terrible if they try for a couple months then just leave it as is. Loot farming games arguably need more patches than any other genre.

There's a $40 Season Pass already so just going off that they are going to support the game with patches and new content at the very minimum for the first 6 months.

I've been watching the Angry Joe demo with developer commentary and it's hyping me more than any other video on this game. Having the developer sitting with Joe and discussing everything that's happening, all the mechanics, and how to activate various skills or manage your inventory is really giving me a good idea for how the game will play.

The one thing I wonder is if I'm really going to play most of the game through with friends, or if I'll end up soloing it. I loved Borderlands 2 but none of my friends played at the same time I did so I ended up playing it solo for the most part. It was still fun, but it lost a little something in the process. I feel like the same thing may happen here.

While the game can be played solo all the way. Its gonna be a better experience i think if you play with friends. Everybody using roles, different tactics and darkzone should be easier

Oh I agree. I'm just saying I don't know if I'll have a group of friends to play with constantly, so I may end up playing it solo, which would be a shame.

I'm watching this now, and he's really trying to get as much information as possible. I appreciate that.

There'll be a GAF community playing this game, so you'll always have people to play with.

Who needs friends when you have GAF?

Radar overall is quite nice. For sure if you are just running arround for loot etc. They show up there.
Also CA = is a big no haha,

Btw now it also explains why so much vids looked wahsed out. If 65% brightness is the default.

So I'm torn between PC and PS4. PS4 I assume will have the larger player base, but PC I'll be able to run at pretty high settings since I have a GTX 970.

Also a question for those of you that have ever bought a physical copy of an Ubi game. Does the game come with a code to redeem for the download (I don't have a dvd or Blu Ray drive in my PC) and is the code to redeemable on Steam and then you link a Uplay account or do you have to redeem and download through Uplay itself? I'm asking about the physical version because Amazon or BB will discount it 20%.

only way to get Steam versions is to buy from Steam itself...anywhere else is Uplay

I am in a relatively similar boat. A lot of my friends are going to be playing on Xbox One, but I have a beefy PC and would love it on there. The only thing holding me back is that there will 100% be hackers in this game. Just look at what DayZ/Survival shooters devolve into. Dark Zone will probably have its fair share. Haven't decided yet, but I am leaning towards consoles for that exact reason.

Thanks. Figured as much. Can I add the game to Steam as a "Non-Steam Game" and just launch it through Steam since I have BPM running all the time?

Yeah hackers was something that concerned me as well. I mean probably the safest bet for me is the PS4 version. I'm in the PC beta so I'll see how that ends up being, and I'd love to see some PC/PS4 comparison shots to see how big of a difference there is graphically.

Game is $44.99 on green man gaming right now.

Even with CDN conversion its almost $20 less for me (About $64 rather than $79).

Tempted.

Framerate will be the largest difference, but Massive was originally a PC developer so there is a possibility that they could surprise us.

The PC version will be significantly cheaper due to Ubisoft basically giving out Uplay keys.
