The Division - 15 minutes of new gameplay

And you get a code for liking their facebook that gives another 5% off.

I basically buy 90% of my PC games on cdkeys.

Niiice, thanks. Just bought it through cdkeys, will get season pass through steam. Will probably be around 70 bucks total for game and season pass.

Pre-ordered The Division from Amazon so I could get the Beta code. Just waiting on the key from Ubisoft. Of course, I cancelled my pre-order from Amazon. Hopefully, I enjoy the beta.

Question for those who have played solo -

Do you see other players in the game or it's just AI enemies? I'm going to play solo and would like to know. Thanks.

You can close matchmaking and you will be solo for the story parts of the game (not that long it seems). You can matchmake specific story missions or run them solo, your choice.

The dark zones, which seem to be the biggest areas of the map - feels like maybe 2x or 3x the size of the "story areas" - are PVP zones and you can't avoid other players in them, afaik. Also any items you loot must be "choppered" out, which is a process where you call a chopper in a specific spot and wait for it to come and during that time other players can attack and kill you. Its not automatically a FFA PVP zone, once you shoot an another player a few times you go "rogue" (whatever that means) and anyone and everyone can attack you. It didn't feel like some MMOs though where until you rogue you are not attackable, anyone is attackable anytime I guess just rogue players are highlighted as rogue to warn you.

If you die while you have those lootable drops, other players can steal them. You won't get the items until you attach it to the chopper and it evacs. Once it does successfully get evac'd, the items are yours forever - people can't steal your previously looted stuff, only stuff you have yet to chopper out.

The game also requires an online connection like Destiny, can't play offline.

also Nuuvem could be an option to buy the game fairly cheap (assuming you know someone in SA that can buy it for you)

there the Standard Edition is about $32 and the Gold Edition is about $40...Uplay keys are usually worldwide except I think a part of Europe that has keys specific to them (unless things have changed)

So you guys can vouch for CD Keys legitimacy? And can I buy from Australia without problems?

Just doesn't sound like a safe name for a website lol.

For everyone that wants it on Steam, you can only get the Steam keys from Steam directly. Everywhere else, like Amazon and Best Buy is a uPlay key :( Wish I could've made use of those discounts on Best Buy... Oh well. Gold Edition bought!

Thanks for the info. I know I have to be online but I don't have PS+ but in that other topic where the guy that was answering questions and was banned told me that PS+ isn't required to play unless I want to play with others.

So even playing solo, there will be other human players in the Dark Zone that can interact with me even though im playing solo?

I got an email from NVIDIA with long code with dashes. I enter the code on their site and it says "I already used this", but I didn't...... grr

I don't think you can go into the dark zone without ps plus.

Intresting.

"Your first objective in Manhattan is to free your Base of Operations from a siege. The Base is vital to an agent's success and survival. The more you progress, the more life will be brought back into the Base. The Base of Operations has 3 wings, each of which is attached to a dedicated narrative path. Medical Wing: Investigate the source of the virus that was unleashed on Black Friday.Security Wing: Find out about the factions that overtook the different districts of New York. Tech Wing: Solve the disappearance of the first wave of activated agents that were deployed to manage the crisis."

Preordered. Enrolled. Let's do this, DGAF.

;) Cheeky.

I'm still concerned about ammo in the game. But seeing how you can switch out skills maybe it will be alright since there is a perk that heals you and gives you ammo. If you need to run away you can collect yourself and grab ammo (PVP). I would enjoy doing a lot of solo dark zone stuff

You will see icons for friends on the map but unless you party up you stay solo in the main zone. In the darkzone you will see plenty of people.

You always will have your sidearm wich has infinite ammo. And they are not bad also.
But overall you should be fine as you can also have two primary's.

I've bought ~20 PC games from them over the last couple of months/years - never had any issues.

The Gold Edition is even cheaper on Nuuvem atm (~36$ I think) but Nuuvem has completely locked out customers from outside South America.
You need a verified Brazilian Paypal that is connected to a Brazilian credit card (or bank card) - nothing else works anymore (no VPN etc.)

Anyone from South America willing to buy it for me? :)

Can't wait for the beta to finally start.
Hoping for some nice PC vids to keep me entertained during the workday tomorrow.

Running out of ammo a lot because of the high time to kill. Imagine dealing with pve enemies in the dark zone and then fighting off players. I would have to replenish my ammo constantly. I know the sidearm has unlimited ammo but you can still get out gunned I'm assuming.

So err... I got an email from nVidia who sent me a Beta code for The Division. I activated it on redeem.nvidia.com and a few hours later, Ubisoft sent me a mail to thanks me for preordering The Division on PC.

The strange part is not only I never asked to be part of the beta but now Ubi says that I preordered the whole game ?

pretty sure there are different perks that handle getting more ammo or saving ammo...you shouldn't really be in any trouble there

plus some of the gear will have buffs on ammo

why does xbox get it a day earlier, must have shook on that in a backroom somewhere loong ago

They will generally sell their Uplay keys at an extreme discount to attempt to prop up their service. Which is ironic considering they are giving far more than Valve's 30% cut on Steam to do so.

are you making this up grief? because i've been buying their games for a while and never encountered anything out of the ordinary sales wise.

It's just a canned email response to putting in the beta codes on their site.

I really want to like this game, but I don't think I'll be able to get over bullet sponge enemies. In Destiny it can be somewhat justified due to facing advanced alien species, but this has basic humans. Completely ruins the atmosphere imo.

I felt the same way, guess thats the rpg aspect. Try to take it for what it is.
