Lordie, have I gotten some angry messages from you all. I made my point, but I suppose some good proof is needed. Hopefully you all will calm down now.
These screens are representative of what maxed out 1080p footage will look like at this current build, however, without effects such as Lens Flares, Vignetting, Chromatic Aberration, and Post FXAA. You can thank u\Voodo-Tfn for taking these excellent screenshots.

If you see, these screenies have HBAO+. You can clearly see it in the objects in the environment, and under the player’s hood, whereas the previous footage there was none. If the previous footage contained any AO, it was very low quality and not HBAO.
Also, note that basically all of these are not taken in sunny weather, either. Keep that in mind before you post the usual “Where are the amazing god-rays and light shafts” and all that jazz.

I will say that from these screens, the snow shaders seem to be on the fuzzy side sometimes, and they, in some instances, look weirdly low res compared to the rest of the world’s textures, which are beautifully crisp. In addition, the reflections on windows and buildings are not as high quality as e3 2013.

However, other than that, I think that this game, graphically speaking, from these screens, looks absolutely magnificent. (I’m not gonna actually use the words "nearly as good as e3 2013” because people will lynch me, lol. Love you guys.) Although Voodoo assures me that the screens don't do the game justice, even still, and that it looks "pretty damn close" to e3 2013 when he is playing it.

NOTE: As confirmation from Voodoo himself, there is a weird video capture issue he is experiencing, likely with the game itself, that makes the gamma higher, damages the image quality, and makes the picture look brighter and more washed out.

Reveal showed off a number of concerns that people brought up tbh. I mentioned in a thread back then about it how rpg mechanics are kind of anti-thetical to enjoyable shooting because there is a distinct lack of tactile feedback when shooting things for DPS and they do not react to the shots.
 
The severely underestimated the graphical tax associated with open world + online. Ubisoft sounds like they got freaked out by vertical slice ambition around Watch Dogs release though so this is hopefully their last blunder of this level.

in before someone forgets Watch Dogs, Witcher 3, etc. and says 'wait until release!!'

I wont't say wait until release (as the beta should be telling), but could you perhaps enumerate graphical and fidelity features which are present and not present in the various builds?
This is not a provocative post, but rather one of necessity. I absolutely dislike gut-based downgrade claims. Or when people say something like "the lighting looks worse" without actually describing what they mean or contextualising differences.
 
the compression in those shots is horrendous, which means it actually looks better than what you're seeing. I mean look at the rivatuner overlay text in the top left, you can barely make out the numbers and letters. I wonder what GPU he is using?

I barely remember it exists, and I regular GAF to which it's go-to image upload site. I don't know if OP used account while uploading images to imgur, using account allows you to disable compression that imgur otherwise automatically does.

Source picture already needs to be not-so-good for very likely imgur compression to lower quality this much. I just thought to share that post and images in case someone would be interested :b
 
Yeah you really can't accurately judge those screens with all that compression. Just a few more days before we get some quality screens.

What i played in Xbox looked better then those screens.
But from what i read indeed. Lots of things missing. JPG pics and problems with his recording stuff. Just a couple of days guys. ;)

Really we will see it running on our screens in four days. At this point pixel fucking reddit images seems pointless. Let's just wait and see.

Screenshot look decent though I've always found it hard to judge a game visually through pictures. There are just so many more details that only video can capture.

Hmmm, I wonder what other AA options there are. Supersampling takes a lot of GPU power and can tank frames. I guess I'll use one lower if I can get 60fps @ 1440p.

I'm also sure there will be optimization patches and a proper gpu driver release come march 8th, so that will no doubt raise fps, but it's something to think about when you see low frames.

This person is playing @ 1080p with a 980Ti/4790k/16GB RAM.

I wonder when it will go for pre-load tomorrow on PS4? Probably 3PM EST when the store updates, I am guessing.
