I use a sling style backpack for fly fishing in the backcountry here in Wyoming and I can say that I wouldn't go back to a traditional pack for anything but backpacking. I have quick access to everything (tippet, flies, leader etc) without taking off the pack. I boulder in it to get to pools and it doesn't make me feel off weight. It's really sweet.I have to agree with you .In the closed beta I was not using any jackets because of this single strap which was bugging me quite a lot.I realised the tactical hoodie kinda works best with it and it was the only "jacket" I was using.
I don't want my soldier to look like this from behind ,Ubi!

In the world of the Division, I'm glad my medic is going to have a sling style pack. He's more ergonomic and he'll be able to get his gear on the fly.
