I dunno how I actually feel. I'm tired, which always clouds my judgement on games. But I don't think I will change that I don't like how cluttered the interface is. Can you just turn everything off?

I'm also not a huge fan of the bullet sponge enemies. In Destiny, it makes more sense since it's based on more fantasy. I dunno. Gonna try again later.

This looks good on PS4 in my opinion

Looks great here. What settings are you using for brightness, CA and sharpness?

Some dipshit decided to shoot me to back, he landed 2 or 3 semi-auto sniper hits taking 80% out of my total HP. I barely got into cover in time making his last shot miss, he never got flagged as rogue. Game was about to give him free kill, and didn't give permission to retaliate without risking making myself target.

So I should have killed him anyways, gotten rogue status and hoped that other rogue teams haven't called dibs on only good safe spots where to camp rogue status away? Yeah, not very interesting imo.

I can see DZ devolving into 24/7 PvP DM / TDM quite fast post-release, just because everyone will adapt thinking that no one is to be trusted and will KOS no matter what.

You can turn almost everything off except your ammo counter from the options menu.

I kinda wish you could pick up item drops by just pressing square instead of holding it, it's kinda tough standing there while enemies are pelting you with bullets. It was fine in Ass Creed but I'm not sure I like it here.

That was 90% of my complaints. So that's awesome.

Yeah, i don't get why the minimap is even there, the map you have in the game is good enough for you to navigate without a breadcrumb mini map, the game in general just looks a lot better when you disable every hud element possible.

Will the full game have some form of transportation like a bike?

I was wondering the same thing; its gonna take forever to walk everywhere. Though with all the random shit scattered everywhere it may not be feasible to add bikes, unless you could jump while using them.

So if I am shooting AI or a rogue in the darkzone and another player runs in front of my bullets, will that turn me rogue? Also how do you find enemy AI in the darkzone? Sometimes I run around not seeing any. Feels kinda empty

This game is ok. Feels like your standard open world game and doesn't really add anything new but the gunplay is different at least. Hoping the final release has a lot more in store.

Anyone know how to type in chat on PC?

Before the beta it was just press / to bring up chat but doesn't seem to work anymore :/

Also it annoys me that I find some badass blue m249 in the DZ but then the DPS on it is worse than my crappy SMG

I just made the HUD elements a lot smaller and moved them further into the corners. I also put my minimap in the top right corner and the xp bar and such in the lower right.

Ganged some motherfucker for their Dark Zone AK47 with 2900 damage. Guy chases me across to DZ 02 only to run like hell when my friends turn up.

Don't judge all guns by just raw DPS on it. My shotgun was a lot lower DPS than what I replaced it with, but it was so much burst damage it was a massive upgrade.

I have everything maxed at 1080p and I don't think I dropped below 70.

IDK about 1080p, but that's believable. I am at 1440p.

Still though, pretty silly that even 1 980 (assuming SLI isn't working) can't get 60 constantly maxed out with a few settings lowered.

Oh well. Will just wait until release to see how it fairs. I can live through it, but I sure hope it gets more optimized.

There's some real highs here in the Dark Zone, but there are a lot of lows.

The thrill of getting some loot onto the heli is awesome. However, if you're a pretty big solo player like me, prepare to lose a lot more than you gain. Ganking parties are merciless, and the fact that you lose a little xp stings each time. This wouldn't be so bad, but I felt like I shot 7 PVE guys during my hour or so playtime. Just doesn't seem like there are a lot of NPCs populating the area, unless everyone is already killing them before I get there.

I'm up to Level 6, finished the single story mission in the beta, did a bunch of side missions and I'm getting the typical Ubisoft vibe of tons of collectables, side missions etc...it's a nice looking area at times but it feels like a Ubisoft game in a prettier location...haven't tried the Dark Zone yet but that's going to have to really be amazing for me to end up purchasing this game

Anyone tried playing this game with a Sony Wireless Gold headset? Is there any way to turn down the comm audio? It's playing at full blast with no volume slider for what I assume is DS4 controller audio. Awful.

everyone is in such a hurry, moreso when in a firefight trying to put enemies down asap

im just taking it slow, exploring, trying to be accurate with shooting and roleplaying to some degree, i suspect this will be a fun way to go about it

Interesting. I might try out the next one I find then.

Yeah. One of the thing I always check as well is the dmg per bullet. A shotgun DPS will always be much lower unless it's an enormous better weapon because it take so long to reload, it brings down the DPS a lot. But it makes up for it by being super bursty.

Tip: If you are on PS4, turn sharpness up on your TV and game. I tweaked around the settings a bit until I found the right set up. X1 games for some reason seem to have better sharpness from the get go. Think it's something to do with the upscaler thing it does to it's games.

While it's important to remember any adjustments you made on your tv so you can readjust them when you're done playing the division. Thus I recommend trying to mess with the game's in-options settings first when it comes to chromatic aberration and sharpness before turning up your tv's sharpness. What might be good for this game could be a terrible choice for every other game. In fact, generally most people have their tv's sharpness blasted way too high.

I will say though turning off chromatic aberration seems to be a good deal. The game has so much detail and clutter that chromatic aberration on just makes everything look too messy.

This sums up my impressions nicely. The amount of stuff on the map is overwhelming just like an AC game. I tried the dark zone a bit and it went as expected with people camping around the extractions point so you can't extract stuff haha.

Yeah I can't wait to delve more into the lore and the story. Haven't paid much attention at what was in the beta story wise, all the collectibles etc since it's disjointed, but I will definitely take my time when the game launch.

Can you lose dark zone keys? I killed a rogue agent and got 2 keys...... Tried to extract but they are still on my person.

Sorry I went into this totally blind but having a blast.

Yeah you can lose some when you get killed while being rogue. Didn't notice when I died without being flagged.

980 ti, 3440x1440, not getting 60 fps on ultra. EVER.

Had some fun tonight, entered the DZ. Then I got out, and managed to 'save Kendal' again... why? It made no sense... I had already completed that mission.

Yeah, for those not familiar: DPS is damage per second. Great for a machine gun. Sniper rifles will usually have much lower dps but will have a higher dmg output.

I think key stats on guns should be clearer for the uninitiated. Perhaps show base DMG rating too.

Okay has anyone had issue with gamepad buttons being defaulted and keyboard keys not working at all? I have no controller even plugged in and I can't input most things. I can see the button change flashing quickly but it just reverts back to the gamepad defaults.

It's fucking irritating. I can get past even setting my options because Apply won't work.

I love finding echoes , wish they were abit more animated , but it's great to find these little stories. Also love finding apartments , I am surprised how much rooftops / apartments are available

You can replay main mission on the same difficulty or on hard mode. Some mission appear to be event as well. Like rescue a JTF officer or defend a certain NPC or point.

yeah, christmas time, snow, new york, pandemic crisis - its a good recipe

now i see why they had those guys so deep role playing in the reveal trailer, its really fun that way

I think playing solo would be less of an issue if you could actually extract loot by getting to the DZ checkpoints around the map as well. Even paying some fee to the merchant to extract them for you. The fact that it is funneled into a couple of points which you can easily reach within the time limit from any part of the zone is just bad. Maybe it'll be different when you can cross into other DZ areas but even then groups in those areas will just be going to every single Extraction Point that is called.

I ran with a full group and we were all on the same page and it was just a turkey shoot. Didn't run into another full group for 2 hours nothing but solo players who never stood a chance. Of course this would be completely different if matchmaking put you into "party" Dark Zones and "solo" Dark Zones depending on how you are rolling.

Find the saferoom in the darkzone. There is a pirate broadcast on the radio talking about alot of stuff in the world. Really cool.

what Level should I be before trying the Dark Zone pvp?...I'm currently at Level 6...how can you tell how many skill points etc you need to advance to the next level?

Yes I'm done with beta already. If there is nothing really added from the alpha then I really have no point in playing. I would be done by tonight all missions, side missions minus maybe a few collectables and just have the dark zone to mindlessly get bored in.

Well hopefully they announce raid info soon. Otherwise this game will bore me faster than Destiny did.
