Yeah after playing for 2-3 hours the game really clicked with me, but I will take a wait and see aproach when the game releases.
Also, is the PS4 server down?

Yup. There was a 30 min timer countdown for a server restart. Hope it's not down for long. Just got a sweet new rifle.

I'm well aware, just saying that a less serious aesthetic, or a different setting would have complemented the game better.
I play Warframe, enemies there can shrug off bullets/rockets to the face, but it can be explained "because space magic" so it's less jarring.

Xbox servers had maintenance at the same time yesterday. Sucks because this is right when my coop buddy gets home from work.

Agreed. Went in solo to an extraction site when a snowstorm suddenly kicked in. Could only sense other agents due to proximity chat.

yes game clicked with me as well.. I like the PvE aspect of it a lot so will get the gold edition now as it's a cheaper way to get the DLC..
I was playing with avcables yesterday, and he crashed out while I was maxed out on loot. Was so tense waiting for the chopper with several others there, not knowing whether they would turn hostile or not. Finally did manage to extract it though, so woo.
Definitely not regretting my pre-order at least
I wish Ubi hadn't cancelled the Anno 2205 beta so I could've cancelled that pre-order

Can someone tell me what the TTK is like? I played the EGX build and was surprised how much it took to put other players down. Is it still quite a high TTK?
It's in a weird spot, graphically, some places it looks really good and others it looks bad. Time of day plays a big part in that, too, but the transitions are beautiful. I think the reveal looked quite a bit better, but this is the beta so I'll see in the final game if they fix the blurryness and pop-in.
As for gameplay, it seems pretty shallow/basic and not that much fun at all unless you're with friends. I was not having a good time until I partied up with three friends.

I imagine that people who actually take the effort of going to official forums either have technical issues they want solved or are very displeased. That said, I can see why some people wouldn't like this much (although saying it is 'shit' is a bit much), even if those reasons don't really count for me.
Yeah, normally I always play these types of games with a pad, but I'm really liking playing this with a mouse/kb. Not often that happens.
Not bad! Well, bigger explosion can torn frames on Xbone.
100% depends on weapon type, distance, and tactical position. I took someone out in about a second earlier with 2 shots to the head with a bolt action sniper, but if you're using like an assault rifle and the person is moving it can take much longer.

Basically either camp a landmark and take them out before a squad of potential rogues show up, or just do alot of different stuff until you have enough cash to buy one from the safe house.

AI are the primary source of the loot..but there are crates scattered around as well containing loot. Some require keys which are dropped by the AI
I agree there is not always alot of NPCs around. Hopefully they scale them up in the full version

I had fun running around with my friends in the DZ, but we are all super worried we just saw the entirety of the end game. If it is just running around praying a landmark respawned or camp/hunt griefers, then I can't see how they expect people to stay interested if all they do is provide new areas. It just felt so barren, especially because so many of the damn chests were bugged and unopenable.
Does anyone know if they have plans for events, special bosses, anything at all for the DZs? Or is the thrust of the 4 man challenges going to be coop missions with even spongier dudes? I am not expecting destiny raids with mechanics, but at the very least I really want more options for end game. Especially when there are other shooters that feel more satisfying to play

Earlier when I finally died in the Dark Zone, I lost 4k, eight keys, and an entire level. I wonder if that was all distributed to the guy who killed me or everyone who damaged me, because it's certainly a lot.

And this menu as well. All in all the interiors in this game look really good and surprisingly detailed. I mean look at those espresso machines! And 1.50 for an espresso is amazing.
I love the surreal atmosphere, having this take place before Christmas really adds a ton for the overall atmosphere with all the lights and decorations as a stark contrast to the bleak abandoned buildings everywhere.
For some reason these huge piles of garbage look super impressive.
