DZ yesterday was a lot of fun. Today I've been a bit cruel around extraction zones with grenades so apologies to anyone I came across >=D

Why the hell aren't we grouped up? Last night FAT and I were destroying the DZ.

How similar is this game to Destiny?

If Destiny and DayZ has a love child, it would be this game.

for some strange reason melee is bound to the 'Zoom In' key...doesn't even list melee as a secondary function

I recently enabled Parkour Mode in the Settings which automatically vaults or climbs obstacles for you...makes it easier then always having to manually press the key...Auto-hiding the HUD is nice but if your health is less then 100% then the Health Bar constantly stays on the screen...I wish it would go away completely at all times but I get the reasoning behind it

Being in a place where you are mostly trying to gather stuff but are always at risk of attack by other players to take what you have gathered.

Killing NPC's takes the place of scavenging for goody bags.

yes but you can join. go in the party in game select him. In the option you should see something about joining the 8-8 bracket

I absolutely love the beta. If the content is there this game could take over my life. I just hope it is there and they need more shit happening in the DZ. maybe that's the plan but in the beta not enough happens in the DZ often enough

I both love and hate the DZ lol

Know the feeling.

Most of the time I hate it, but then sometimes it surprises me and for a short moment everything comes together in a beautiful moment; the light, the players, the atmosphere, the music. Total bliss.. Then someone throws a granat at me while I'm tying my loot to the rope and I'm back to hating.

Main issue with the DZ atm is how empty it feels. Not a whole lot of chests to loot, not a whole lot of mobs around and when they are, they rarely drop anything. There's maybe even too few players in each instance.

Idk, wandering around a lot of empty space was getting boring before. With the odd burst of excitement from a rogue chase.

IIRC, notice that the enemy the move is performed on is in STUN state. Perhaps enemies that are stunned can be downed/killed with a OHK "assassination." We don't know for sure yet.

For instance I hope that the subway is complex and big.

Ubi needs to really get a plan deployed for the extraction camping. Greater penalty for going rogue in the Dark Zone needs to be implemented. They also need to tweak the transition animations from cover to rolling. Other then that the game is very fun definitely a buy for me at launch. Oh and enemy and npc density needs to be upped greatly, a lot of times I've been running around and nothing in sight.

This game has one of the better visual implementations of a stun/disorientation status effect you get from frags/flash/etc.

It's a refreshing change of pace from merely blanking out the entire screen in hot white or pitch black.

The PvP is very much like DayZ / H1Z1. The fear of being killed at all times, and the trust/distrust of other players. It's similar, just on a smaller scale.

I'm loving it. The game has really hooked me. I've had a lot more time to play the Beta than I did the Alpha.

Agreed. This is how I feel most of the time. The rogue chases when you have loot and people are running after you are intense as hell.

One thing I hate about the DZ is when someone shoots at you so you shoot back and end up going Rogue before them...

Yep, that was totally you and your group. You guys were rogue when we exited a safe house and we proceeded to take out I think two members of your group. I was with Bizazedo and Hydruxxo who are both GAF members with the same PSN name. One of them recognized your name in the middle of shooting, lol. Goodtimes!

I agree that it does feel empty, how ever I'm not surprised with all the bodies I've seen.
Hopefully the main game has more crowded ares.

I guess, but seeing as though this game is not an open world zombie survival game it is very hard to make an comparisons beyond that. They are chalk and cheese to me, many games invoke a sense of fear of other players but they do not remind me of Dayz

This interview was also back in the days where there was a companion app, and I highly doubt, going by the beta, this is still in the game:



I doubt players will have that sort of effect on the world anymore. I wonder if maybe there will be before/after instances after major missions, but I doubt it given how they want you to be able to replay missions and group up with friends. "Impacting the world" just doesn't work in a game like this.

And so I have little faith in that interview and I'm also speculating that "raids" were cut in favor of enhancing the darkzone. But I guess we'll see what happens on release.
