I am currently helping low level 8 players who don't have the high end purple upgrades successfully extract in the dark zone on PC. If you feel like your are having no luck extracting then hit me up, I have all purples and have the yellow guns. My ubi name is eman4ever28. Btw this game looks amazing on ultra! XD

The icons with the green or red, down or up arrows? Those correspond to one of the three skill trees. Think of it like Destiny stats, the higher the ranking in that particular skill tree an item has, the quicker your cooldown refreshes, from what I gather. There are also perks that will tell you what an item has, like EXPERT: Weapon does 100% damage if a target is below 30% health.

Oh i found it. I select an item and can scroll the info on the right.

Dark Zone experience so far has been a mix of confusion and co-op with strangers (not grouped) which is nice. Getting shot through walls by hackers is not so nice.

I'm rich I tell ya! Got 41 keys, too.

I don't know if there are hackers but there is definitely some weird latency thing, one time I had someone go rogue on me and I didn't see him till he suddenly popped up in front of me. and I was taking damage from an unknown source until then it seemed

Cancelled. Too much multiplayer emphasis for me. The single player stuff plays like the shitty ambient quests in Fallout 4.

There are definitely hacks out there for wall / infinite ammo. The DZ right now is a shithole of people camping the extraction points and running the rogue glitch over and over.

I played for the majority of the day and I'm convinced to keep my pre-order. Whether the game has legs like Destiny, I'm still on the fence. I love the tactical nature of the gun play and really want access to the other skill trees; that honestly will keep me busy for the cost of the game.

I don't believe there are hacks, there is currently a bug in the game where one player in a fireteam can go invisible, AI and players cannot damage them.

lol i just trolled someone at the chopper point.

I shot him in the foot, waited a bit then did it again. He was so scared that he missed the chopper lol. Then he called it again, but now he had enough of my shit and killed me. He then got rogue and others hunted him down and took his loot :P

I'm keeping my pre order. The RPG elements seem well done, and the story seems interesting. I also like the variety of missions. This beta seems light years better than Destiny's beta and final game!

Ran around with a group of randoms in DZ and it was fun just gunning down other randoms. Then we had a huge battle at the extraction point and after we won that battle we just ran around the map looking for enemies to take out.

Cancel. Decent game but concerned about the content and the underlying gameplay isn't anything special.
Same. This was one of my most hyped games holy shit. Amazing city detail, but it's boring and the gunplay feels cheap and uninteresting.
I can get Quantum Break on day one now, as I was going to get that later in summer due to this game.

It actually convinced me to pre-order the $99.99 one on Xbox One and my Wife is pre-ordering sometime today. Loving the game.

I have not grouped with anyone as of yet, been going lone wolf in the DZ and has been fun. Yeah, I get janked and have died a lot, but I also enjoy trying to stay alive, trying to outsmart others. I set up a pick up and just waited until all the other folks killed each other and then was able to get my items out. Also had some great battles, I took out a group of 4 on my own and was only level 5 without a lot of good items. I took a elevated position and just protected the paths for them to come up and get me. It was a blast.

Tonight I hope to do my first grouping with others and am looking forward to it. The Alpha was not pushing me, but seeing how much they improved the game since the Alpha convinced me to pre-order. I am still questioning some things and hoping the content is there to keep things interesting. I can see them easily using building and in particular large building for "dungeon" type of scenarios. I do wish that there was a few more buildinging or houses you can get into, but with no loading I can see why there are not as many. While it may take you out of the experience, I would welcome more of the larger building to be explorable even if it means a loading screen, just to add more variety.

What do the images/symbols just to the right of the weapons mean?

I have a random magnum handgun with the cowboy dude.

They're passive buffs that are active when you have X amount of one or more of the three categories (Firearms, Stamina, Electronics). When you select a weapon in the menu, you can see the specifics on the right. Sometimes you have to scroll down (right stick on the consoles).

If anyone wants to party up on Xbox add me: Geeduhb

I keep trying to join up with randoms but they just keep doing their own thing lol...I wish there was proximity chat

Definitely preordering this on XB1 based on my time in alpha and beta. I love this game so far. Now to decide on getting the season pass with it or not. I never buy season passes, but I'm thinking about doing it for this game.

I'm also concerned about the content, especially map size. The beta already opened up quite a good chunk and I feel like I have seen everything at least 3 times.

So what I found is that if you have any rank of Rogue you can run out of the beta bounds and it will teleport you to the safe room where the timer will keep going. You will be safe as long as you stay in and will get 777 DZ points each time. People are exploiting it atm to get the best weapons.

Its a backstabbing trap.
Im onto you

I enjoyed what I've played of the Beta, but I'm concerned about longevity and depth of content. So I'll be waiting until the game comes out and people start hitting cap to see what they say. If the entire end-game is just max-level-bracket Darkzone 5 that's a pretty small area.

Any rank? So you can basically hit a friend (who leaves your group) then run out of bounds and then you end up getting 777 DZP after your timer wears off in the saferoom?

Really enjoying the beta for this, so much so it's jumped to day 1 for me. The PC version has been very impressive too which is great. Many GAFers picking up the PC version ?

I was expecting the Dark Zone to be absolutely terrible for a solo player but I must admit I had a lot of fun playing it. I teamed up with some random guy and when I thought we were just gonna go after rogue agents/kill AI he went rogue at one point and everything went to shit, had a whole team after us who gunned us down like the dirty rats we were :P

I really do like the mix of AI and real players in the Dark Zone. It's dangerous but it still allows players to get DZ points from killing AI and buying guns from vendors if they aren't so good at killing other players. There's just an uneasy tension which is great.

Hell I'm really enjoying the single player too, I like the general quietness of the streets. In some ways it reminds me of Escape From New York, I keep expecting the theme/OST to play at times
