ElderScrollsWiki said:The Elder Scrolls Online is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) that was announced in May 2012 and was released on April 4th, 2014. It is the 8th game in The Elder Scrolls series. On June 9 2015, the game is
being released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.Developed by the team at ZeniMax Online Studios, The Elder Scrolls Online merges the unmatched exploration of rich worlds that the franchise is known for with the scale and social aspects of a massively multiplayer online role-playing game.
On March 17, 2015, The Elder Scrolls Online will transfer from a subscription-based title to a Buy-to-Play model similar to previous Elder Scrolls games, where one pays a one-time fee and unlimited access to the game. The game will introduce a cash shop, the Crown Store, where things such as vanity items and experience boosters are sold for a premium currency called Crowns, but nothing that gives players a significant advantage over another will be sold. Players who have had a subscription prior to the transition will be given 1500 crowns, or more if they have had a 3 or 6-month subscription.
The PC and Mac version was released on April 4, 2014 and will be released on June 9, 2015 for consoles (PS4 and Xbox One). Pre-ordering the game gave players the option to play as any race in any Alliance, an exclusive pet called the Scuttler, and some treasure maps. Buying the Imperial Edition gives players the option to play as an Imperial, craft Imperial gear, convert existing gear into the Imperial style, gives an Imperial horse with standard stats, a mudcrab vanity pet and the Pledge of Mara, which allows players to marry.
Classes
ElderScrollsWiki said:There are four classes, including Dragonknight, Templar, Sorcerer, and Nightblade. Classes will only give players 3 exclusive skill lines, and do not affect a character's other choices. For example, you can be a very stealthy Sorcerer who wears heavy armor and wields a bow.
Dragon Knight
ElderScrollsWiki said:The Dragonknight, like all classes, has 3 unique skill lines only available for Dragonknights; Ardent Flame, Draconic Power and Earthen Heart. Each of these abilities are more suited to specific roles. For example, Draconic Power is more suited towards survivability, while Ardent Flame is more suited towards dealing damage. The arrows are used to signify an ability's morph choices e.g. one morph choice for Fiery Grip, is Empowering Chains.
Templar
ElderScrollsWiki said:These traveling knights call upon the powers of light and the burning sun to deal massive damage to their enemies while restoring health, magicka, and stamina to their allies.
Sorcerer
ElderScrollsWiki said:Sorcerers summon and control weather phenomenon: hurling lightning bolts and creating electrified fields, summoning tornadoes and impenetrable fog, and calling upon Daedric forces to summon Storm Atronachs and magical armor.
Nightblade
ElderScrollsWiki said:Nightblades are adventurers and opportunists with a gift for getting in and out of trouble. Relying variously on stealth, blades, and speed, Nightblades thrive on conflict and misfortune, trusting to their luck and cunning to survive.[1]
BLACKSMITHING, CLOTHING, WOODWORKER
tentonhammer said:These are the skills used to make your basic gear. Blacksmithing makes Heavy armor and melee weapons, Clothing makes Light and Medium armor, and Woodworker makes bows, staves and shields. Though the items are different, the processes for all of these crafts are essentially identical.
PROVISIONING
tentonhammer said:Provisioning is the crafting of buffing food and beverages. The crafting menu is a lot simpler than the gear-crafting menus - you make either food or beverage.
ALCHEMY
tentonhammer said:Potion brewing is a little more complex, because the ingredients are more rare and they have multiple effects.
Each brewing reagent - flowers, mushrooms, roots, leaves and such - has 4 different properties, and must be combined with other reagents with the same properties in order to make a functional potion. If the selected reagents have two shared properties, the potion created with them will have two effects. This can be awesome (for example, if a potion has both Restore Health and Restore Stamina effects) or it can be kind of useless (for example, Restore Stamina + Drain Magicka). Potions with negative effects are used as poisons, unless they are mixed with beneficial effects, in which case they are consumed as normal potions.
ENCHANTING
tentonhammer said:You can add Enchantments to make your weapons do extra damage, or to your armor for Health and Stamina buffs, or a variety of other effects. You can buy cheap ready-made Enchantments from the Enchantment vendor, or you can mix and match different runes to make your own.

While PvE and PvP make use of the exact same game play mechanics, your success in either requires very different tactics.

All you need to take part in AvA is to enter Cyrodiil. You can do this after reaching 10th level. All players between 20th and 50th level who enter the territory of Cyrodiil receive “battle-leveling” that temproary enhances their attributes. Players with Battle levels do not have access to full class abilities, skills and perks. Character with battle level is not as strong as a character with real level.
Thus you can bring maximum benefits for you alliance after you reach rather high level. That does not mean you should not visit Cyrodiil when you are not strong enough. You can enter the province, fight there and level up but you will not be the strongest person.
