The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited - |OT| - Console edition

That's pretty awesome. Never even knew they existed, going to have to try to remember next Sunday and try to attend one.

Just saw a different guild is hosting one on Sunday. If you're in the trading guild I invited some people to before just message the guildmaster of it for info.

Also if anyone needs another trading guild I got invited to another one a while ago. This one has a trader in Wayrest and they also do auctions.

Yeah, I hadn't seen any for sale but would assume they'd go for that much. When you're able to craft it, it's a pretty damn good drink!

It is. Actually bought a couple drinks myself since I found some relatively cheap and it's amazing how quickly I leveled up.

If anyone in the pc guild wants to take advantage of the Rings of Mara that came with my game, please let me know. My only condition is that you are a frequent player (I'm on every night and will be until Fallout 4 is released) so we can both take advantage of the 10% xp bonus. Note we will also have to be in the same group, but that doesn't mean we have to be in the same alliance or location, or doing the same quest. We can be across the continent from each other and still get the xp bonus as long as we're wearing the rings and we're in the same group. If you want to do dungeons with another group that's fine, you just have to regroup with me after you're done. I think if you regroup with me and then turn in the dungeon you will get the bonus, but don't quote me on that, since I've not done a group dungeon yet.

Just finished Dragonstar Arena. Was fun and intense. Took like 5 hours cause of all the times we died but man it felt good when we finally beat it. 10 rounds of fights with environmental hazzards each ending with 1-2 bosses and then the last round against the final boss and all the previous bosses. Thank you again Pantsuit Apologist! We definitely wouldn't have beat that without your amazing healing skills.

That place is insane but I'm glad we managed to finish it. After all that time invested we just HAD to beat it! I think I gave myself tendinitis from all the desperate button mashing and holding the controller in a death grip. #firstworldhealerproblems

Seems another patch just went up, after it prepared itself for what felt like an age, download started at around 16GB and ends at 16.267GB, so about a 250mb patch.

So I've got the game on the way from Amazon today so I'm guessing I'm in for a long wait to actually play it with a plenty of patches to download first?

Anything I should learn or study before I begin playing the game during the downtime? I know very little about the game.

If you want some simple but useful advice this helped me when I started.

And if you want more in depth stuff for builds, races, classes, skills, and some other stuff Deltia's Gaming is really good.

I'm in the EU. I'll have a scour of the thread and see where it's mentioned. Cheers

I had no luck getting in touch with anyone from EU GAF guild when I tried last week. Made a character on NA side then, and it works well. No lag etc.

With that being said, I could use an invite for my knight-cat! StaffyManasse

I've switched from a stamina-based Imperial Dragonknight to a magicka-based Dunmer Dragonknight.

He's VR 5 now, and I'm blown away but how much more powerful magicka-based characters are for PvE content.

There were some delves and public dungeons at VR (in Auridon) that I thought were hard, but this guy is just ripping through them in minutes.

So I've been doing a lot of PVP lately, even made an alt to try out non-vet (as doing PVP as a VR2 is just zero fun) and I'm having a blast.

Though, I have one huge issue with this game, and most MMOs in general, when it comes to PVP.

CP points and high VR stats really ruin the game for lower CP/VR players. I don't get why MMOs have this fear of stripping people of all that PVE shit and just making PVP purely about class balance and skill. Everyone has the same base stats, passives, equipment, and skills to choose from.

Guild Wars 2 is really the only MMO that does this and I don't get why others don't. It's why the MOBA/FPS genres generally have a much better PVP experience.

Maybe I'm just not getting something.

I'm having real difficulty with the game. I can't find the main quest once I've left the starting area/thing. The compass and mini map are just a myriad of symbols than mean nothing and it's just not clear where the quests are. I feel in just fumbling through it rather than making decisions on what I want to do next.

Once you hit level 5 you will be directed to the main quest again. The game is really about exploring - think Skyrim.

A main line quest happens every 5 levels, the prophet will appear near you at some point all ghostly asking you to return and a quest will appear in your log. Otherwise explore, walk down a road and see what you come to. Each map area also has a quest line too that slowly leads you across the map and will end up sending you to the next one.

Quests markers on the map are two things, black ones are either quests you haven't started or a quest marker for a quest you already have but isn't your "active quest", a white arrow marker is where your active quest wants you to go. Any other symbols will just be locations across the map you can visit.

Anyone out there that wants to sell me some heavy armor with traits so I can do research? I still need to the following traits:

I'll edit this post as I find shit, so if you see this and can make it for me, let me know. I have a good amount of money, so I'm willing to pay no problem. Just not the 50k randoms online try to get.

On PS4, by the way.

I might be able to help with some of those. I'll check later when I get on ESO. No charge. Hero_1985_ right? I can't make any heavy nirnhoned but most people who can will charge you quite a bit even if you provide the stone. I paid someone 10k each for 3 pieces of nirnhoned medium arnor.

Awesome. Yeah, that's me. It's crazy how rare nirnhoned is.

It is. Nirnhoned stones alone can go for 25k-30k each.
I have none. I just assumed it's a Craglorn thing and that zone is far too hard to solo and as I've not been grouping...... Anyway I can probably do some of those traits. You EU or US?
Yeah you can only get nirnhoned stones from harvesting stuff in upper Craglorn and you only get one piece of random nirnhoned equipment the entire game at the end of the quest line there. It's not too bad going there alone if you're just there to harvest materials since you can avoid most enemies pretty easily.
Noticed we have a guild trader.
Nice! Where is it located?

One reason I stopped playing the game. Once you hit Veteran levels, it's all down hill from there for PVP (and PVE until you hit max VR14). You have people who transferred over from PC that have 700+ CP points VR14, tons of gold, all Nirhorned armor and other top VR14 gear, maxed trade skills, etc. Really tough to compete for people who only started on PS4 and don't know any ex-PC players/guilds/tradeskillers.

Plus, the VR play was very boring just re-doing an alternate campaign, as I already experienced the main storyline and seen what the quests/world/dungeons were like as I initially leveled up. Plus, it was fun unlocking new skills to play with, now you are pretty much just earning CP and unlocking some secondary rarely used skills. It probably doesn't help that the silver campaign area for the Daggerfall covenant is the incredibly boring elf/Aldmeri alliance campaign. I wanted to play the Ebonheart campaign ;p.

Hero, I was able to make some of what you needed.

Hands: training
Head: divines, infused
Shoulders: training
Waist: training, infused

I sent it through the mail so you should have it when you log in.

For those who don't know - they're redoing this element of the game in the update after the Imperial City (which hits in a few weeks). "Update 8" as it is called is scheduled for Q4 this year and completely removes Veteran Ranks, you simply become "Veteran", and it has all kinds of balancing elements to make it less grindy. Cadwell's Silver and Gold is still available, for example, but you don't really need to do it any more.

What do Imperial motifs go for these days in guild stores? Just had one drop before I logged off.

It's odd, I got Barbaric motif yesterday on a drop and Imperial today.

I started a new guild on NA PS4 with friends to run dungeons and chat with while in game. If everyone is interested we would like new members. We don't have plans to be a trading guild, just dungeons and hanging out.

PS4:NA - Daggerfall Covenant

Guild name: Not the Guild you want.
