New update is out for Xbox One:

Orsinium is also live on Xbox. PS4 tomorrow. Paid DLC, adds a massive new area and about 20 hours of 'single player' quests and a single player arena.

Also, the next DLC is due around February and is the Thieve's Guild.

Gamefly selling used copies of this for $13, so I figured I'd pick it up since this is as cheap as I assume it will get for a while.

Feel free to add me on PSN before I get it: realwords

I decided to give this game another shot, started a new character and been enjoying it more so far.

I am currently a level 5 Argonian. Ebonheart Pact on Bleakrock Isle. If anyone wants to party up let me know!

Also could I get the appropriate guild EU invite for my faction please?

Well, I told myself I would wait to beat Skyrim before starting this. That I'd also start and finish Dragon's Dogma before I started this. That I was just buying it at the stupid cheap price because "it was on sale". Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

I was weak, and started this yesterday. Got to level 8 or so, chose High Elf in the Aldmeri Dominion. This is my first MMO really, everything else I played was free trials when I was at an age that wasn't ready for such a game. I am overwhelmed, but yet not at the same time. I am loving every single second what I am playing, and can't wait to do more. I do have a few quick questions if people could be so kind...

1. Am I able to get an invite to the NA Gaf Guild? PSN: BaronVonBeans . I don't have a ton of time to play, and I likely won't be much of a help to whatever Guild business there is, but it'd be nice to be a part of the group.

2. Should I be trying to do every quest in the starting areas? Are they like Skyrim in the sense that they randomly get created? Or should I move on out past the starter town, and find quests out in the wild?

3. Are any quests timed? I was wanting to avoid accepting every quest I come to, but I may if they don't expire, but then again that might make things too cumbersome in menus.

I think that's it for now...I'm slowly learning the ropes about everything...not only with ESO, but with MMOs in general. Definitely a lot to take in. I'm trying to read up on lore, and skills, and this, and that, and more during my down times at work, in the car, and anywhere I can. This game really has grabbed me by my giblets, and I'm very very pleased with it.

Tried to find you, but I'm not sure the person I found is actually you. Disclaimer - I have a piss poor schedule for games, rarely having longer periods free. Plus I almost never know when mildly longer play sessions will be upcoming for me too. But if I'm on, and you're on, I'll try to find you
if I'm not already busy doing tons of other crap

I'm feeling a little burnt out on this game. I think it was absolutely fantastic and I put in close to 200 hours but I think I might be done for a bit. I'm right on the verge of Veteran Rank 4. I beat the main storyline for DC and I'm halfway through the AD storyline/areas.

These veteran areas are definitely less populated. Feels like no one is playing anymore. Hopefully more people jump on with the Holidays coming and I can get a "second wind" as I'd really like to at least finish the AD campaign as well. I don't know if I'll ever get around to the EP though. This game is huge.

Guys, the game and the Crown packs will be on sale starting thursday on PS4/PC/XONE. If you plan to buy Orsinium or Imperial City wait a couple more days. The 5500 Crown Pack will have a 40% discount.

VERY nice, thanks for this. Been thinking about buying something DLC wise...or subbing for a month or so maybe. Regardless, thanks for posting, I had not seen this anywhere.

Ya thanks for the heads up. I'll probably get Orsinium.

Are people still playing this? Tempted to pick it up on the sale. What's Orsinium? Is the Premium worth it for $16 more than regular?

Grabbing both of the DLCs for 23 dollars wasn't too shabby. Even considering buying some more crowns with the discount to get that Black Fredas bundle.

Lots of people playing it. Premium cones with 5500 Crowns for you to spend on the Crown Store. You should definitely get it. The regular price for the 5500 pack is $39.99. Orsinium is the latest DLC that costs 3000 Crowns. It is a new zone for everyone to play at (don't need to be high Level, you can play as soon as you leave the tutorial area.

I bought this game this week and played it. I like it, but maaaan does it seem like it is chock-full of quests. Should I do everything? What's the best way to progress in this game at an acceptable pace? I am playing as a Nightblade Dunmer in the Ebonheart pact. My starting zone is the region that houses Ebonheart (the north of Morrowind).

Black Fredas was the perfect time to dive back into this game. Got the new DLC + the bear mount and cub for a good price! Also the Black Fredas bundle is great! Gonna do some streaming tonight! :)

Wow.... Thank you for posting this!!! ^.^

I usually subscribe monthly and had not bought the dlc. I went ahead and bought 5500 Crown Pack x2 and then turned around and bought Orsinium and Imperial City. I also used the 10% psn code someone posted earlier. Really happy for the heads up on this, thx again!

Question, what's the PS4 population like? I'm thinking of triple dipping on PS4. Does it have players with mics, and Cyrodiil fort wars?

I played a little bit of this earlier because of the crown sale and the black fridas special offer, it's pretty good I reckon.
Something to look forward to when I'm finished Fallout 4(i.e. next year)
Will probably just play it single player.
Not going to bother getting the DLC yet whilst I've still got so much to do in the main game.

Makes sense on holding off on the DLC but the crown sale is brilliant.

What system did you get it for?

Xbox One I've got.
As well as the crown sale(I bought 3000 and my game came with 1250) I got this pack

Green Narsis Guar Mount
10 Crown Experience Scrolls
10 Crown Riding Speed Lessons
10 Crown Riding Capacity Lessons
10 Crown Fortifying Meals
10 Crown Soul Gems
50 Crown Tri-Restoration Potions

Sounded like a good deal to me before I even played the game!
1900 crowns for that.
And I've still got some spare crowns left to spend for once I do get into the game.

Nice I have it for the PS4 but I picked it up for the Xbox one a few months ago on the cheap. I will definitely get crowns for my One account for later.

Decided to buy both DLCs.

I still need to play the Ebonheart and Aldmeri areas. I'd like to get my nightblade up to Vet 14, but I kind of want to start a new character.

New update is out for ps4 players it seems. Pretty sure it's across the board though. When it finally stopped prepping for download, the file was at 23gb out of 24gb total. Adds new mounts, pets, costumes and more. Good thing I stocked up on crowns during that sale. Oh wait I didn't, psn wouldn't let me. Good for all you then!

Edit - well I don't see anything in game yet. Some things are slated to come out in a week or three, but nothing so far on any items without release dates.

came to ask the same thing

just got the game a few days ago ;/

There is, but I don't think it's very active anymore.

It still exists but no one is ever on and it hasn't been administrated in at least two months now. I actually left it last night because I kept accidentally depositing money in that guild bank instead of the trader guild I'm in. Sorry, ESO GAF, you're dead to me.

EDIT: oops, I'm talking about the PS4 version..

I've always been kind of itching to come back and play this game, but I haven't played in months. My biggest gripe is that around the time I quit they were talking about basically introducing Diablo paragon points? The more you grind, the more stats you have, the more PvP advantage you have. Did they ever go through with that? Would be a huge turnoff for me. Also, is being a werewolf still garbage?

I asked to be added a week ago maybe, and still nothing. I feel it is indeed dead. I may also just go solo, or make my own. I can be king in my own guild, heck yea.

Does anyone know if the 60% off announced at The Game Awards is applicable only to digital versions? My friend would like to buy a physical PS4 copy.

Don't worry about doing every quest, but do the ones that are obviously linked to major events in the areas you are in, because they reward you with skill points. Completing everything actually over-levels you and makes normal (non-group dungeon content) a bit less exciting if you have a decent build.

My advice is to do the main regional quests (they always involve the ruling power in your zone, or at least start there) and to do the Public Dungeon in each zone. Edit: Also, wandering and looking for random experiences is great. You can stumble upon world bosses and/or dolmens (dark anchors) which are among the most fun to be had for an intrepid adventurer imo.

Public Dungeons are INSANELY fun. They are a great litmus test by which to determine the effectiveness of your build, as well. Plus, they are a fun way to meet people and develop emergent situations. They are hard enough to slap you in the face if you wander in solo but still doable solo, and if you meet someone in there also soloing, relationships almost always emerge.

No quests are timed. You can come back to any quest at any level. However, outside of Main Story quests and Guild quests, they all have a level cap for exp rewards, so returning to a provincial quest after you have leveled beyond it will yield you naught but personal satisfaction.

Edit: You can still get skill points from the main regional quests even if you out-level the exp reward.

Sorry, PS4, else I would!
Snippity snip.
Little late, but thanks for the reply. I ended up doing everything, but only because I just lost myself in the game and just couldn’t stop from doing everything :D The more I play, the more I enjoy it. The smaller side quests usually do have some kind of skyshard or something decent attached to them, so I never feel bad for knocking those out as I come to them. I tried a public dungeon, the Banished Cells I think, and it was awesome, but for some reason even though we beat it, it still shows up “not filled in” (more black with white outlines then white with black outlines) so it looks like I need to run it again. I’ve been using the quest finder each time I log on to try to get a group together, but it hasn’t been that great. When I did run it, I was not the group leader though, would that make a difference on it being cleared on my game?

I was also going to ask people about sorcerer skills, and builds, and stuff, but after pouring over terrible website after terrible website I realized I just need to go to the ESO subreddit. Found what I needed near instantly. I realized last night I had 5 skill points just sitting there….instead of getting more attack skills I put them in my crafting for now. So far I’m level 21, mainly using crystal shards, storm calling skills and the des staff. Just found out how useful it is to use daedric summoning, at the very least to have a pet the enemies can target while I wail upon them from afar.

Hit level 7 (on Ebonhart Alliance) and I can't find any quests. The first couple of levels seemed to string together storylines, but now I'm out of quests in my journal and there's no quest markers around... any idea where I should go?

Take out the map and walk toward places you haven't been, especially towns. Keep an eye out for quest markers while roaming around.

If you are level 7, it's possible that you are still in a starting zone, and might have completed everything there. If so, get to Stonefalls and quests will abound.

Okay, there's a big change coming to the game. They're making all zones in the game accessible, and level scaled. Meaning like Skyrim, you can go aware and do anything even from the beginning.
