The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited - |OT| - Console edition

Damn, shame we lost the guild trader. I think it'l be harder and harder to get a trader in good areas unless we really increase our guild size, at this point we're just not earning enough money to justify spending so much on a bid.
What's the average level in the guild? I know we had our trader in the third area (level 25-35 I think). Why don't we try for other places like Wayrest?

If size is an issue maybe we should start recruiting traders, people who only have the permission to sell in the store and deposit in the bank from outside GAF?

Also, if CthulhuSars isn't active anymore we need to get him to transfer Guild Mastership to Dre_G_Writer.

Skyrim does have intermittent silence inbetween the music. You can see silent dummy tracks when you look at the playlists in the Creation Kit.

Well I finally got to VR1, what a journey! Doing the AD quest line now but I did Darkshade Caverns last night on Veteran difficult and it's definitely upping the anty, seems like double the enemies and bosses are a lot rougher.

Also, leveling is slow as VR :( Hopefully I can pick it up.

The problem is the cost to win a bid. We need to earn a lot of money during the week we have the guild store up, and donate a lot to the guild in order to bid....with less people joining, and more people leaving then who is there earn the guild the money?

I think there are cheap traders out in the middle of nowhere, the ones in cities can be pretty damn pricey from what I've read.

I was going to suggest the same regardless, Dre is the most active without question and should be the guild master.

Really? 350+ hours and I never noticed, lol. I know it does sometimes, but for the most part I thought it played one after another with very minimal breaks in between...

I would expect that one to be pricey as well. I'm talking about the ones that aren't even in the middle of a town, just on some random road in the middle of nowhere all by themselves. Those should be cheap, but low traffic as well.

Well even if they're not in a town they're always located right next to a wayshrine so anyone traveling to one should see them.

Oh are they? That's something I didn't notice.

You can only bid on one at a time right?

Alternatively, the Game of Thrones TV soundtracks are great with this game as well.

Yeah, it's been in rotation for me as mentioned in my original post asking for suggestions. It's amazing to listen to while playing but can get depressing because a lot of the music from GoT is really depressing especially if you associate it with what happens on the show.

I think so.
so if the trafficker passive good for someone that steals a lot?
Yeah just putting one skill point into it raises the amount of stolen items you can sell to 110 per day.

Holy shit this Prisoner of Jathsogur shit on Aldmeri Dominion side has gotten so old. Been unable to progress in this quest for a week because it's a piece of god damn shit and there are tons of people just killing the quest mob before it reaches the objective spot. What the fuck how is this still like this?

I decided to go ahead and buy the PS4 version over the weekend. The controls on the console are decent and I am having fun with it.

I don't like that all player characters have their PSN names above them instead of the character names. It can be a bit jarring trying to save some village from monsters when DemNutzz34 runs by. Also the people leaving their voice chat always on so I can hear their dog barking is kinda bad.

Made the mistake of buying the game with my US PSN account and then playing on my JPN PSN account (main account). I didn't realize until later that I can't buy Crowns because of that (links to the JPN PSN store). I assuming I really don't need them and that there are mostly for cosmetic stuff right?

I exit all the chat channels first thing after I log in. I don't play with others and don't care to overhear their chatter. My only complaint is that I can't make it permanent since the devs obviously want to encourage communication.

About to head over to Best Buy to pick this up on PS4...gotta work that GCU subscription.

Is there any point to guilding up if I'm not going to have much time to play regularly once September hits? I typically solo and never really get hardcore into MMOs, but it's always nice to have some dependable people to do light dungeoning with occasionally.

I enjoyed what I played last night on PC. Very Elder Scrolls. Which is good I really like the lore of the series. I'm not even in tamriel though so I just started. I'm glad I have given it a chance.

If you go in settings you can mute the chat to save turning it off every time, that's what I do.

I had a problem with that too until last Friday when PSN collapsed. When I logged back in I realised the server was empty so rushed over and was able to finally finish it. I don't think it affects the storyline, so you could put it off until Bethesda do the weekly maintenance or PSN collapses again.

Does an Orc make a good Dragonknight ? My crafter is one but I need to level him up.

If the plan is just leveling him high enough to get all the crafting passives, then it doesn't really matter what race you are.

As far as a stamina-based DK, Orc is fine choice, but Imperial and Redguard are more optimal.

I was on my horse, and rode by the alter for the Werewolf quest. Some random person turned me on the spot. No payment, didn't even ask. I was in party chat with one of my friends from our guild, and he rode out there and the same thing happened to him. he hasn't leveled it yet, but I got the skill to six in under an hour.

So try hanging out and see if it happens for free.

Damn, just one point in it makes a huge difference.

Any reason to keep crafting mats you've outleveled?

I respecced my lvl 23 Templar to a crafter to outfit my NB and a friends DK. We are moving through the upper 20s now and I've got oak, high ore ingots, and low level rune stones taking up bank/inventory space. Is there anything later on that requires this stuff or can I unload it and just keep current and future mats for upper level crafting? Thanks in advance.

I'm starting up, PSN Caduceus, will play Daggerfall. Still agonizing about race/class.
Same here. I grabbed this thanks to the Best Buy sale. I love Elder Scrolls games and picking that first race and class is the final realization that I'm getting to play a new ES game. I have no idea what I'm going to go with, lol.

This site has a lot of info that might help.

You can just sell them. They're never needed for any quest as far as I know.

I finished the main questline today. The final assault was pretty epic. I loved the story, both Main Quests and Ebonhearth Pact quests.

I have friends that just rushed through the quests just for leveling quickly and didn't even acknowledge what happened in the story. Why even bother playing then? There was one time I was playing with a friend on the Coldharbour Public Dungeon and the quest required us to sacrifice ourselves by jumping off a cliff. When my friend died he was screaming: "Why did I die? That's stupid". Well, if you actually READ the dialogs you would know.

That's why I hate the Group Dungeons in this game too because no one waits for you to read the story. I feel like the only one that actually cares about this stuff. That's one of the main reasons I bought this game in the first place. I love the Elder Scroll's lore. Does anybody feel the same?

Story >>>>>> Getting lvl 50 in 3 days (on the first playthrough).

I just started playing it on PC (got it from GMG for $12) and...

I think I'm going to get the PS4 version tomorrow. It's a game I really want to play, but the PC guild is largely dead, and this just feels like a game I want to play on my TV. I play Guild Wars 2, and my favorite part is interacting with other GAFers or even just feeling like we're contributing to a common goal. Without that (or with a much smaller amount of that) on PC, I just don't feel like playing.

Two questions first though; 1) how exactly is the social aspect? Do all of you in the guild feel like you're interacting with people, or is does it feel largely single player?

and 2) how does it look and run on PS4?

Edit: It's a small thing but SHIIIIIT, the game displays PSN names and not character names? So I'm gonna have ortiz344 over my head the whole time? Nooooo.

I wonder how many people that roll with tanks actually bother with the undaunted skill line, it's designed for tanking in dungeons.

I'm so addicted to this game now, my only complaint is that non-veteran PVP is always full and the queue is ridiculous.

oh and night's silence 5 piece passive is so fucking badass.

names don't show up over the characters head, they only do when you highlight them with the crosshair. I agree that having the psn id show up instead of the character name sucks, but it's minor and I got over it quickly.

Is PS+ or XblGold required for this? I'm assuming so, eh? Got it from gmg for cheap and enjoying it quite a bit, but would rather play it on console. Just don't have any subscription set up on either at the moment.

Yeah, that's what I figured. Not a huge deal in the end.

I still can't decide if I want to drop the $40 and get it on PS4 so I can be a part of an active guild, or keep going on PC and hope the GAF guild is actually alive and well outside of the other OT.

I have both the PC and the PS4 versions and I honestly prefer the console. It plays fine with the occasional issue (character textures don't immediately load and disappearing NPCs) but I like just relaxing on my couch and playing with a controller. You get used to seeing stupid PSN names and most sane people tend to turn off /mute voice chat. Since there's no text chat, I play it like a single player game with some multiplayer lightly thrown in. I solo 90% of the time and only group to do the daily Undaunted dungeons.
