The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited - |OT| - Console edition

I'm thinking of picking up the pc version with the deal at gmg.

How is the coop aspect of this game? I don't plan on joining any guilds, just play with a friend. Is a 2 person party good enough to enjoy this game?

Breton style medium armor is the coolest in the game by far, so glad I bought that Breton motif now!

just need to craft two more pieces to complete night's silence set.

So all the quests can be done in coop?

Not all but most. Some quests are solo. Many quests are fully co-op, and others support multiple players but track progress individually.

That inconsistency is probably what caused me the greatest grief as a new player, but it isn't bad once you get used to it.

The majority of the armor in the game is so damn ugly that I'm still wearing my level 24 chest even though I'm at level 45, lol.

You are probably crafting in an ugly style.

I've got every purple style unlocked and it's all ugly (light armor). So much of it is the same garbage with slightly different patterns.

Some of them get a little better looking when you make them out of higher lever materials plus dying them always helps. There's a site that shows all the different styles so you can see if there are any you like.

http://eso-fashion.com/

I've been using that as well and even just going through it a lot of it is pretty bleh.

Certainly leaves a lot to be desired. Especially not a fan of how the accessories like shoulderpads look and animate. It's like they were so afraid of having parts clip through the body that they went too far in the opposite direction, and now you've got floating armor parts instead.

LOL I know, first noticed it on belt buckles.

I had to equip a light armor helmet because the other mid armor helmets are hideous. Besides I think the Breton light armor helmets fits a Nightblade well.

Any 46+ people wanting to do some group dungeons?

We're on EU Ebonheart, we unlocked the undaunted stuff and would love to do some of it!

Were both 46.

Is it selfish of me to want this game to be like Borderlands where it tracks the same quest for you and your party? It can get tedious for me to ask my friend "Okay what quest are we supposed to be doing, again?" It feels archaic and separate.

just killed some random lion's guard dude by mistake and my bounty is at 600 now, FUCK.

Can someone please add me back into the group chat on PS4? Meant to leave a different chat and accidentally left the GAF one.

Can someone recommend some music to listen to while playing this game? Preferably something that's available on Spotify.

I'm getting kind of tired of the music. It's crazy that the Skyrim soundtrack is an hour longer when this game is meant to be played longer.

I've been rotating between the game music and a Game of Thrones playlist for a while, but GoT music is pretty depressing so I'm not always in the mood for it. I don't really feel like listening to music from Lord of the Rings, tried looking for music from WoW but it's not available on Spotify, or at least I couldn't find it. I need something that would make great ambient music.

Anyone got any suggestions? Something fantasy of course.

I was so heart broken. I was all like omg, another vr, I might have a dungeon bud....*Ryuk has left the chat* ;_;

Lol sorry. I had someone suddenly add me to a really large group just so they could show something they made in Minecraft and when I tried to leave I guess I was on the GAF one.

Thanks for the heads up on 75% off.
I didn't manage to get the regular ver at $15 - out of stock :(
But I decided to settle on Imperial Edition at $21
Will register tonight and download the 60GB client.
Is the GMG version US or EU?
Any servers where you guys hang out?

The length of the soundtrack in itself is okay, but it's rather the distribution and implementation of it which is at fault. Should have done like WoW where you occasionally have cues playing and space things out.

Skyrim, I just pop on a Skyrim focused sound track.

God speed Dre if you're procuring us a guild trader again.

Is our guild leader still playing? Did we ever get Tabards? Where do we purchase them?

We lost our current trader?

I messaged CthulhuSars about it and he said that he could make one, this was Saturday and he hasn't yet.

Yea. We lost the guild trader this week. I thought we had won it again since i had the highest bid of 20k when the timer ran out. But i saw another guilds name on the trader. So i dont know what happened.

I just cant seem to understand this bidding. I dont know if it even shows other peoples bids. Like a blind bid. Or if it just update the bid late or something.

The game didnt even tell me i was out bidded until a few MINUTES after the bidding ended.

Im thinking its the lag. If id saw i was outbidded i would have jumped on it. But from my view. It looked like i was the winner.

Zenimax need to work on that server lag. Getting mail takes time to show up. Taking and putting things in the guild bank takes a while. Even the damn npcs take a while to show up.

Another thing I like about this game is the minimal UI (which does feel very Elder Scrolls) - so many MMO's have so much garbage cluttering your view, it's refreshing.

This is one of the big things I like about the game, helping to alleviate its "MMO-ness."

It's also frustrating because they ended up obscuring a lot of information people consider important to monitor for higher end play, without even having proper opt-in options for them. Only recently did they decide to open up the API to allow addon makers to access duration information for buffs and debuffs.

The game ends up feeling very counter-intuitive in many ways due to how it seems to eschew a lot of "MMO-y" interface stuff just for the sake of distancing itself from feeling that way. There were more of those things in private pre-release builds that they ended up cutting, like a minimap.

Admittedly I haven't done a lot of research so I came here, to the fountain of info.

Newbie questions 101:\

1. With a only a mild interest in crafting - Is it better to break down green items or just sell them?
2. Are advance classes the main way to get more ability options? Right now I look at what I have and what's locked and it seems somewhat lackluster.
3. At level 15 you get weapon swap. Does the "equipped" but not selected weapon level up?
4. Is there an in-game way to increase inventory space? I hit my cap far to frequently and the crown store option is insane. Especially considering the boost in one character only and not account wide.
5. Are there in-game pets and mounts to quest/grind after? I only seem to see crown store pets and mounts around. I'm only level 17 so maybe that it.

Unsure about question 1 and 2.
3. Only active skills, weapons gain xp
4. Main towns have sellers of bag space. Also when you purchase a mount you can increase it further by 1 every 24hrs by visiting a stablemaster.
5. The cheapest mount is 10k and doesn't seem to be any difference in stats from the more expensive versions.

So, are there special werewolves that bite you? I'm in Bangkouri and found tons of them around, but they aren't doing it. Just hitting me and I'm not getting the disease.

Yup. Good luck getting it to happen though. Lots of douchebags camp the spawn points and kill the werewolf so that they can charge you gold for a bite. Zenimax really needs to fix this.

Anyone want to turn me into a vampire? I'll give you 3 mud crabs and call you Master in-game for unlife.

I'm debating picking this up while it's on sale at Best Buy this week. I'm much more into single player RPGs than MMOs, and I don't have any friends who are currently playing this. Is there a significant part of the game that could be done solo? How is the matchmaking for the parts that don't? Are you basically out of luck if you don't know anyone else with the game? Also is there any consensus on whether the PS4 of XBO version of this game is preferred?

Thanks!

You can do the entirety of the main quest and regional quests alone. Only a handful of group dungeons require other players.

This is basically an Elder Scrolls game with MMO elements tacted on, MMO-lite if you please. For the best too or else the console community would be tiny.

The PS4 GAF community is by far the largest. Other than that there is no real difference between the versions.

are there any cool EP guilds on the PS4 US server for teens and mid20s? I joined a cool sounding guild at lunch who promptly power leveled to veteran ranks in 1 month, so kind of on my own now :) harder to play that much with 2 small kids

Im a templar that i built to offtank and heal, hell of a fun game so far, looking for a new place to meet folks

Damn, shame we lost the guild trader. I think it'l be harder and harder to get a trader in good areas unless we really increase our guild size, at this point we're just not earning enough money to justify spending so much on a bid.

I actually like that music constantly plays, it's been the same since Morrowind but I do really wish that each area had it's own music at least. I think that's what kills it, nothing sets each area apart from the rest, it's all the same.

The music is good, it's just not as good as the stuff Jeremy Soule writes and it doesn't have the replay value in my opinion.

I can't find it on Spotify.
