The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited - |OT| - Console edition

Does anyone know at what point the horse saddle gets those bags? I'm upgrading my carry capacity at the stable and currently just at 10 and I really don't want those bags.

Yeah, stupid cosmetic complaint but they look hideous.

I believe all the cosmetic changes happen at 20 for each stat for mounts.

This game feels like there's so much to do in it. I can just chill and work on crafting, or go looking for skyshards, or quest, or whatever. It's a living breathing world with tons of people

(PC)

The first person mode is so slick, it makes the world feel even larger than it does. And it's already pretty damn large.

Yeah, sometimes when I don't have a lot of time, I will just do my provisioning writs, other times I will just do some crafting and there are times where I will just go on a gathering of materials runs. I have found 3-4 good areas where I run from one wayshrine to another and pick up 6-8 Ore Nodes, 5-6 Wood Nodes and about 10 different plants, 3-4 chests etc.

There is a ton of things to do in the game and I have been enjoying it even more since it moved to console. Me and my wife did a 4 hour marathon of doing Dungeons. We came across 2 very nice people to do 4 dungeons in a row. We would take about 20 min in between to reset our gear, bank etc. But it was just fantastic fun.

Is there any way to change hairstyles or anything? I picked a pretty bad one (they're all bad, but this is particularly bad). I look like Zod in MoS.

If not, I'll just slap a badass helmet on and call it good.

Have any of you tried remote play? Does it work fairly well?

Unfortunately no. You're stuck with whatever you picked.

I just tried remote play and it worked beautifully... but only because I didn't get into any combat. As of now, attack in mapped to the top right corner of the back touch pad. Not ideal. Is there any way to change this, or will we just have to hope for an update from Zenimax? It's the perfect RP game, EXCEPT for that.

Oh well, I was going for a Deathstroke look anyway. Thanks for the info!

How many of you guys play in first person? I love the feeling of slashing dudes up close.

Can't play any other way really, the character moves so strangely in third person, and I'm used to playing Elder Scrolls games in first person. But then again, when having some effect on you (like the morphed mage guild ability), first person is annoying as well with the blue glow all around.

Can't get my head around the crafting in this game either, I can't seem to be able to craft anything near as good as the quest items I receive. When adding glyphs to the items I craft they always drop in quality.

Starting to think this game isn't for me, might drop it after I'm done with Shadowfen.

After creating them you have to improve them using tempers for anything made with blacksmithing, resin for woodworking, and tannins for clothing. Doing so will change their quality from normal->fine->superior->epic->legendary. That will raise the defense/attack of what you create. Also only certain pieces of armor get the full effect from glyphs (chest, legs, and head). The other pieces only get a partial amount of the enchantment. There's also a traits you can research to add to armor and weapons that will enhance the enchantment and raise weapons attack and armor rating even more.

Yesterday I made one of the best decisions, personally, in ESO.

I switched up my NB from DD to tanking and boy it's super fun. The tanking queues are considerably faster and the NB kit is quite decent for tanking (so far).

I tanked the 3 dungeons for lv28?, City of Ash and the other 2 that I don't recall the name and we only wiped twice because we didn't know the mechanics.

So... yay!

Anyone has any input on NB tanking?

I was doing my normal Elder Scrolls thing by fighting in first person and traveling in third person. I play mostly in third person nowadays, it feels better for this game. At least to me.

That looked like fun, i've not seen a werewolf fight yet either!
Werewolves are awesome on PVE. We do a lot of damage. The howling ability for restoring health saved my ass lots of times on this fight too. The great thing about using the werewolf transformation is that we get a new set of abilities just for it, like using a backup weapon, so you don't have to replace your other abilities during normal combat.

My only problem is you don't stay a werewolf nearly as long as you do in Skyrim. I ate 3 people in Skyrim and I would be in werewolf form for hours it felt like

I did wonder how you were healing in that fight, i'm leaning towards making my Dark Elf DK magicka based so i'm guessing a Vampire would be best off for that, i've yet to see one of those roaming around but I am only lv23.

I started off in first person but ended up in third when I started being a dedicated healer. Zooming out to see more of the area is a must for me, especially during boss fights when I have to keep an eye on the health bars, group position and all those lovely red circles on the ground.

The first person adds a lot of atmosphere to the game and is what got me into it. But I started playing in 3rd person once I zoomed out and realized my guy was dressed like a clown. It's also nice to see when something is attacking me from behind.

I still keep the camera in 3rd person as zoomed in a possible to have that up-in-yo-face action.

My buddy at work who's GAF account is not yet active would like to join us. He lurches hear all the time.

Just got this last night on PS4. Had fun running around the starting zone with a friend. How do guilds work? Should I join up with a Gaf guild?

You'll gain access to the guild chat channel, guild bank and the guild store, which allows you to sell items to other guild members and if the guild has purchased a guild vendor, you can also sell to the general public.

You can join up to five guilds and can be accessed by all characters on your account.

my best crafting daily so far (i got some equipment to destroy too)

Im just stacking them for my templar legendary gear I want to craft.

But yo, I found a fast way to level up your crafting skills that involves deconstructing.

It was taking me FOR EVER to level up my crafting skills before, but when I started doing a lot of stealing to make some cash to buy the next bankspace upgrade(38k) I noticed my crafting skills bar was up a lot higher than I thought they were.

While I was deconstructing, I noticed the bar moving up a lot faster. I thought it was the items level, but some items of the same quality and level, werent even moving the exp bar, and some were.

So I took a closer look at the items, then I noticed, ok, some are stolen, some not. "I wonder if that makes a difference", I thought.

Deconstructed two of the exact item, one stolen, one not stolen, the one not stolen, didnt even move the exp bar. The one stolen, VERY noticable boost in the exp bar.

By the time I got done stealing for around two hours or so, my blacksmithing went up almost ten damn levels...........holy shit. Went from 37 to 45 in blacksmithing. Went from 28 woodworking to 33. Went from 32 to 38 with clothing.

by pure accident, I noticed that deconstructing items that are stolen gives multiple times more exp than items found/scavenged in the world.

I'd have to deconstruct around ten or so items to get the same exp I got from deconstructing one of the same item that was stolen.

I noticed this when trying to get the black dye for deconstructing 100 items, I just kept doing stolen ones from the town and it shot up super fast. I haven't touched crafting yet so haven't carried on, but it seems like a good way to make up some levels if you have the time.

I went to Cyrodil for the first time today. It was really fun and we took a keep. Not a lot of people were on, so the fights were only got up to about 10 on 10. It must be crazy druing peak times.

I have been in some massive battles with over a 100 players and it was complete mayhem. Extremely fun though.

I switch back and forth. A lot of my travelling is done in third person, though. Easier to see enemies and harvesting nodes all around you.

yeah I find myself doing this often. I sometimes feel like playing in first, then I switch to third for finding mats etc.
