The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim -- First Gameplay Trailer!

Please show the ps3 version

The PS3 version looks great as well.

As for the dragons, they do everything you saw in the trailer -- fly, breath fire, land, crash-land, etc. They're very dynamic. We'll be talking about them more in the future.

I really hope Soule takes more cues from Morrowind's soundtrack to differentiate some of the songs from Guild Wars. It's pretty dumb of me, but I sometimes just link Prophecies and Eye of the North to his other works.

Low spec PC requirement demonstration shot?

Idk if I'd say this looks better than The Witcher 2.

lol

I'm pretty sure this is a snipet of the gameplay running in first person.

it's really beating on a dead horse but the consoles are really holding back the advance of our generation! with now the onset of Dragon Age 2 which seems to be a consolified disaster

DennisK4 said:
Actually that was an honest oversight.

If Dragon Age 2 turns out to not quite be the dumbed-down action RPG that it appears to be from the demo, I will absolutely play the shit out of it and it should go on the list.

If that was the only problem with DA I'd be happy. Add to that a retarded dialogue system and a derivative, boring as fuck gameworld and you're there.

...but I'm not buying it until all expansions are out and it's collected into a neat complete package. I understand those who won't be able to wait, but those who do wait can attest to this being the superior method of Bethesda game consumption. You get all the content at a reduced price, in one go and the mod community has improved the game a million times over by the time Bethesda has moved onto the next project.

Don't fool yourself.

Damn, i was originally just oging to wait an extra year for the game of the year version to come out with all the bells and whisteles but this trailer is making me seriously consider day one.

That's more like it.

The Witcher 2
Skyrim
Mass Effect 3
Dark Souls
Risen 2
Ni No Kuni
Deux Ex: Human Revolution

Fantastic year for RPGs

fixed

In before ME3 is not an rpg

So what you guys want is not a roleplaying game, but a backpack simulator. Got that.

Just to clarify, all of this trailer was captured on Xbox 360. Also, the draw distance is not faked in any way.

:O

Thank you God.

I'm set to go all RIDDLE OF STEEL on this bitch. Now I only need to know that Beth managed to come up up great quest criation and a good dialogue system.

Much as I've loved what I've seen so far, I'm afraid that's where I have to take a "see it to believe it" approach. But I'm looking forward to more info.

That is 360 footage!! 0_0 YES!!

Oh man, my wallet is not ready for this year at all and my 360 will probably die from the amount of awesome games available.

Bring it on!!

Honestly, I don't think I care if it looks like MineCraft on my ps3. After the last two FallOut games, I think I'd settle for the game simply running for more than an hour at a time. Game breaking bugs need to take precedent over clipping bugs : /

Bethesda is the anti Bioware. They make their games more hardcore yet present them in a better fashion. Epic trailer.

Yay, Dragon A...sorry.

I kike the dragon design. Finally dragons that are not fat quadrupeds with wings glued on top. Good work, sir.

I couldn't get into oblivion, I don't know why. Maybe I just didn't get to a hook point or something. This looks amazing though. It looks more visceral, and weighty. I'm surprised to hear that the footage came from the 360 version, it looks great.

Wow. The future is bright, no need for new consoles anytime soon.
Hyped!

Is there an timeframe on PC featureset reveal? DX10/11, Steamworks, Steam retail registration, SDK etc.

That was 360 FOOTAGE?? What the fuck. That's amazing. Great that console games will get a good experience if that trailer's anything to go by but cotdamn my PC is drooling in anticipation.

Easily the biggest game of the year.

Trailer of the forever. What the fuck, my mind was not ready for that much awesome this early.

Edit - One of my favorite parts is the audio used for the dragon speaking fire. Fuck me the whole this is godlike. Someone hold me.

Edit #2 - Who is this fucking narrator? I know this guy's voice.

Thanks for the confirmation, Rats.

Now it makes sense why Todd was focusing all his time and attention on the 360 version. Absolutely mind blowing what he's accomplished with 2005 hardware.

Turn off the Internet connection while playing. Helps a lot. Played NV for 8 hours straight after that without a single crash.

Beth, can you confirm that running actually looks like that in the game? I understand that some people may feel the headbob is too much, but please make it at least optional!

Great capture, Dennis.

Seriously, this is similar to that magical feeling of seeing DKC running on 16-bit SNES hardware for the first time. It's like a generational leap, defying the ancient tech inside the box.

Can't believe that ENTIRE thinfg was captured on the 360!
They even specifically pointed out that none of the draw distance was faked, jesus that's. Out of this world.

I am impressed with how the game looks...one of the better looking console rpgs

Watched the trailer again... that's how you do a trailer. Epic shit.

I just realized that playing a dagger-thief might finally be satisfying in a TES game, instead of just being a gimp longsword. :O

Shit, CD Projekt has got some competition now! =P

The elder scroll V will outsell The witcher 2 by 4 or 5 to 1 so there's no competition. :P

They could be able to sell 10+ million copies of that thing...
