Anybody wanna upload the large address aware exe?

I also get a crash to desktop where I get a message saying the graphics driver shat itself. Doing a google search has both of these problems looking increasingly common.

Ouch. It had to be said though, it's very unrespectful of Bethesda to not have a proper answer to all the complaints.Saty said:

Not only are they blocky but they seem to "dance" like a Squigglevision cartoon (Home Movies, Dr. Katz).
It's distracting. I would rather turn them off than have them look this terrible, but I can't figure out if that's even possible.[/QUOTE]
I have this and the dancing issue as well (GTX 570 playing on Ultra with latest beta drivers).
This is NOT true. I keep changing the FOV whenever the game decides to change it back and sure enough achievements are still popping up.Loxley said:I had no idea the game locks you out of achievements if use the console to change the FOV...
You should have saved 'saves', not exe.Kyaw said:So... i kinda fucked up with the ugrid settings...
Now my game crash every time i load up the latest save file. D:
I've tried using the backed up Skyrim exe but that didn't help at all.
Any suggestions? I'd rather not restart the game. :/

Backup Your existing ones and try loading up old one.Kyaw said:I didn't backup saves. So do i load up an older save?
Edit: About 7 hours in.
It doesn't stop me from getting achievements either.ChuckNoLuck said:This is NOT true. I keep changing the FOV whenever the game decides to change it back and sure enough achievements are still popping up.

Most of this is legitimate. The only thing are that's 100% wrong is that using the console does NOT void achievements.Saty said:

It looks great in some shots and then good in others. Better than Oblivion from what I've seen but still sloppy in terms of PC issues.Kyaw said:This is what happens when a game looks bad...
Bethesda should have made a prettier game so i didn't have to tweak everything...![]()

thanks. i don't give a shit about achievementskrameriffic said:http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=32633582&postcount=10410
It's not a mod, it's just a console command, and I haven't tested it yet. Might disable achievements.
Did you try running the game as admin? I really have no experience with this one so hang tight. Sucks, I know.Kyaw said:Fuck, now the game crashes after i press 'Esc' in the pause menu.
Agreed.epmode said:I swear, someone rename this thread "USING THE CONSOLE DOES NOT DISABLE ACHIEVEMENTS", OK?
Apparently not. It's infuriating! >_<Complistic said:It seems like my fov resets every once in a while. Despite setting it in both the ini and console. Is there a permanent solution to fix this?
Make the ini read only. I know it's BS but give it a try. Just make sure your settings are set so incase you change them, it may have a seizure.Complistic said:It seems like my fov resets every once in a while. They're around but they are simple or in alpha form.Technosteve said:any good mods for textures yet? The Witcher 2 has ruined me in what textures should look like.

Make sure you change it back to your preferred fov ingame before committing to make the file read onlyComplistic said:That does sound like bologna but I will give it a shot.
"fov XX" works really well. And I notice it carries over between play sessions. Usually.
The INI file doen't affect your FOV at all. Not even a a little. Only the console command works and I've noticed that the FOV setting occasionally clears itself and has to be reset.LiquidMetal14 said:Make the ini read only. I know it's BS but give it a try. Using a console command doesn't affect achievements in any way. Even if you save, load, whatever.Van Owen said:Even if you don't save and reload?
I'm not entirely sure what causes that as I haven't read a sure fix yet. Definitely open to some suggestions that do work and are proven to work so I can add them in the OP.epmode said:The INI file doen't affect your FOV at all. Not even a a little. I honestly don't believe anyone has got the FOV to work using the INI. Prove me wrong GAF!LiquidMetal14 said:I'm not entirely sure what causes that as I haven't read a sure fix yet. Definitely open to some suggestions that do work and are proven to work so I can add them in the OP.
For god's sake, no one has gotten the INI file to change the FOV because it doesn't work. Test it yourself: Try setting it to something like 10 since that would make the change incredibly obvious. Then do the same using the console command and watch it go!Pazuzu9 said:I honestly don't believe anyone has got the FOV to work using the INI. Prove me wrong GAF!
It's either broke or just stupid but most of the working fov's are coming right from the console. Needs to be fixed.Pazuzu9 said:I honestly don't believe anyone has got the FOV to work using the INI. Prove me wrong GAF!
And the command line is there for this game tooepmode said:For god's sake, no one has gotten the INI file to change the FOV because it doesn't work. The only reason that people are suggesting the INI tweak is because it worked with previous Bethesda games.
Yes, I know, I'm trying to tell that to LiquidMetal, as he keeps suggesting it to everyone.epmode said:For god's sake, no one has gotten the INI file to change the FOV because it doesn't work. Test it yourself. Try setting it to something like 10 since that would make the change incredibly obvious.
