(CNN) Major cities across the country are bracing for an unusual wave of far-right rallies in the coming days.

The largest scheduled rally is the "March on Google," which will take place in nine major US cities Saturday. The aim is to protest the firing of Google employee James Damore over a controversial memo he wrote about the company's diversity policies. Damore has said he doesn't support the "alt-right," and will "likely not" participate.

The "March on Google" rallies are scheduled to take place at these Google locations around the country:

Atlanta
Austin
Boston
Los Angeles
Mountain View, California
New York
Pittsburgh
Seattle
Washington, D.C.

Some alt-right organizations are scheduled to lead more localized demonstrations.

Boston is preparing for a rally from alt-right group Boston Free Speech on Saturday. The city mayor has said the city won't tolerate racism, bigotry, and violence.
San Francisco is preparing for two rallies August 26 and August 27. Mayor Edwin Lee said the city can't condone a rally that incites hate. "I ask that when they chant of hate, San Francisco chants of love. When they talk of despair, San Francisco talks about hope."

Who's up for a Blues Brothers cosplay?

Edit* Having a Nazi rally in some of these Cities sounds like a bad idea for the rally members.

Curious how many people are eve going to be attending these things. Particularly in the Bay Area.

Yeah, this is not a good list of cities for people to walk around with Nazi Regalia. I expect these to either be like a dozen people each or have a ton of arrests.

Good News: None anywhere near me
Bad News: I don't get the chance to counter-protest these assholes

They're always relatively small compared to the counter-protestors that show up. These will be even smaller since they're spreading it across the country instead of one concentrated area like with Charlottesville.

Bit of an off the topic question, but I've been wondering as a european: Which city (or state?) in the us the most left leaning, open to refugees, PoC and muslims?

Be safe and careful if you counter-protest peeps!

I would not go anywhere alone in those areas. Those crazy fuckers are probably all going to be armed and ready to murder more people.

Invariably there'll be anarchist violence in opposition to, and protest of, the Nazi/KKK/nationalist marching.

...which sucks because now they'll just talk about the evil liberal "both sides" alt-left instead of the fact that Nazis/KKK/nationalists are walking around unabated, emboldened and proud to agitate.

Anyway, I hope NYC is ready to shut this shit down. The city won't play that fascist bullshit.

Revisionist bollocks, he went straight to their Youtube channels for victim monies and only backtracked because of what happened at the weekend.

Seriously. Where the fuck in NY is this taking place? I want to go and protest. Fuck these people.

Chelsea, 16th-18th & 8th Ave where the large Google building is.

Hard to say because of the size of some states. California and New York are portrayed as being liberal, but that's only a small segment of a very large state.
