The Final Bosman Show

Does anybody know what the music was that they played when he lost the Mega Man bet? I swear they need to put a list at the end of each episode or something. His musical taste is so divergent from mine that I don't recognize any of it.

I used to stay up at night listening to Casey Kasem's top whatever because I was young and stupid. "My dog used to love this song" is actually better than the average letter he used to read.
 
Kyle's point this week was a breath of fresh air from neogaf's focus on sales. What made Pachter's show so successful is that he added context to the fan base who only see a "units sold" or "sales revenue" data point and really don't know up from down (For example, Tomb Raider being a blockbuster in sales wirh 3.5 million units in the first month, but yet a financial disaster for Squaresoft that cost their president his job). We don't know shit.

I don't think any of the songs he puts in his videos represent his personal playlists. He has pointed out a few times that due to copyright issues, he is stuck to only being able to use a small list of shitty generic songs that are licensed for use by gametrailers.com. As I understand it, the shitty list got shittier after Viacom sold gametrailers.
 
I have to chime in. So many threads with people dissing out games and/or publishers solely because they are not huge commercial success.. What the hell happened for doing stuff because it's cool, and if you make a living out of it the better? Who even cares about the stuff that sell the most? Usually that is the most boring stuff on the market, any of them.

Man, a little premature to be calling WB an A-tier in my opinion... I agree that they've come a long way, but it's hard to justify putting them in the same class as Blizzard...

Jeah I would not consider WB A-tier. And giving Witcher 3 as a reason for that is also wrong in my opinion. The Witcher 3 is being published by several publishers around the world.
 
I think Konami and Capcom are in bigger troubles than Ubisoft. I certainly wouldn't put them above Ubisoft in terms of economics. Ubi's major problem is PR and to some extent game quality and they also have more IPs of a huge scale whereas the other two basically have all the eggs in one basket.
 
Sad to see an A-tier Gametrailers employee get cut. I can't really tell if he's known for a while and that the move to Texas was because of this, or if it's just an unfortunate series of events. Either way best of luck, man.
 
I'm not sure if I want to throw someone like Majesco or 505 Games in the same boat as some of those C-tier publishers. Still, pretty good episode and enjoy Bosman with his multiple personalities for bonus bits.

Seemed crazy to me. Witcher 3 is no more a WB game than it is a Bandai Namco game and aside from MKX and Batman, what else do they have for 2015? Yet another LEGO game?

Nope on both counts. Konami's eggs aren't even in the videogame industry at all, while Capcom's still making a number of games, they're just getting help from Sony and Microsoft to take some of the risk.
