The Final Bosman Show

Weird he didn't mention Kojima or the Konami situation, specially knowing Kyle and how outspoken he was about the situation between Kojima and Konami and how it affected MGS V. Other than that I completely agree with him, specially with the joke about the demagogic treatment of Sony towards the people in the audience and the things about Betas and kick starters aren't event material at all.

They already did a dedicated video on that.

Yep, that sums up my feelings on Broken Age's story perfectly :(

I only watched up to episode 4, but... I think you may have oversold.

There are some funny, unmistakably Bosman moments throughout, though. And the fact that he plays a character named "Butt" is worth the price of admission alone.

Don't give up on it, the ending is too good.

Yeah, I finished it later that night.

I laughed a lot at the last episode. The whole series definitely gives off bonus bit vibes from time to time, and the series finale was a pretty amusing payoff.

Nice, I'm glad you saw it through to the end.
The finale was funny but also pretty melancholy too. Tyler playing a detached guitar in prison and then silently yelling, Connor crying on his knees with an eyepatch (presumably he lost an eye to that rock 'Butt' dropped on him), and best of all Bosman tapping Quebec on the map and then slowly riding off on a skateboard. It's stupid for sure but I cared for the characters and I've been happily thinking about it all week.

Bosman nailed it on every criticism of the PSX keynote. Ending on a CG trailer for a MOBA, the desperate plugging of Battleborn like it was being sold to you by a used car salesman, the insistence of carrying on a presentation of a broken VR demo when they should've just called a wrap on it immediately - these are things that are easy to call out but Bosman does so in a funny and good-natured-but-also-nudging kind of way.

Man, why is Sony even giving any time of day to Battleborn. No one gives a shit about that game, full stop. It'll bomb whether you give it conference space or not, so just let the inevitable happen. Having a sweaty Randy Pitchford namedrop Borderlands and announce timed-exclusive content like it means something just exacerbates things.

To be honest, that mgs5 story arc gif, it is kinda similar to a traditional dramaturgical arc used for millennia :) It's just that mgs5 botched it up at the end (or all over if you will).

Preach. I haven't seen any excitement for Battleborn anywhere, ever. Which is of course why they're pushing it so much. They know this too.

While I'm preaching stuff Kyle's done outside of GT,
he continues to write for a comedy group called New Money. They have a playlist on youtube with everything he's ever written-

This should be archived somewhere

I pretty much reacted like that guy in the "Christina Hendricks's Husband Is Awful News" video when I saw her husband, Kyle must have went thru that too :(

I just binged on a ton of those videos. Spider-Man is a Black Guy is an instant classic. Seeing Bosman curse in these makes me feel gross inside though for whatever reason lol

Also if you guys wanna see Bosman dressed as an a-hole alien then your wish has been granted:https://youtu.be/SEKCwDWAW6A

The Final Bosman - The Top 10 Best Things of 2015

No Sonic is definitely something to celebrate, I hope we don't see him next year either

"Star Fox has never been a big seller in its life"

-The original Star Fox sold 4 million copies on the SNES and was the 8th best selling game on that console.
-Star Fox 64 was also the 9th best selling game on the N64 at 3.32 million.
-The crappy Star Fox Adventures sold more copies than Resident Evil 4 on the GameCube.

There are diminishing sales returns with each new sequel in the series, but you can't say that it was never a big seller.

I always love it when Bosman has a go at the arrogant Shigeru "Why'd you put that rock there?" Miyamoto. Screencapped for use in future threads:

I think he referred more as a console seller, or something that people are waiting..

no ones awaits a star fox like a new mario

That lecture bit was one of the best he's done. Could not stop laughing. Interestingly enough, him interrupting his own bit about Naughty Dog points and then cutting back to the end of that bit was hilarious as well.

I feel like Bosman had to have inspiration for that lecture bit from somewhere. Do those people actually exist? If those people exist I would be a lot saltier. I know a lot of generic businessman probably think that way, but I'm not sure about an actual teacher.

Also not sure what he was on for that Star Fox not being a seller comment. I guess he's just assuming it isn't a big seller anymore considering it's been over 15 years since Star Fox 64 and the original Star Fox. Not sure if the mainstream really cares about Star Fox outside of Smash.

I always love it when Bosman has a go at the arrogant Shigeru "Why'd you put that rock there?" Miyamoto.

well kyle has opinions that are sometimes wrong. ragging on him for that comment is weird. i think miyamoto, as a designer, would want to test a designer and question the placement of things. this is a guy who was part of the meticulous process in making super mario bros. 1-1. i don't think it was a thing where king miyamoto decreed that only he knows what fun is.
