The Final Bosman Show

And the 2015 Smurfy Award goes to this episode of the Final Bosman. Well done, Kyle. Well done.

(Begins slow clap hoping others join in)

Seriously though. Funniest episode of the year.

I haven't watched Bosman in a really long time.

This episode proved that the reason I haven't watched Bosman in a while... is that there's something fucking wrong with me.

Wow. That was actually really exceptional and I got to say I genuinely felt some emotion. It really shows how deeply Bossman thinks about everything and he really seems to over think himself and peoples perception of himself. It almost seems like this is Kyles actual therapy when he does these bits and it's kind of a beautiful vulnerability that is really intriguing.

His future not-son definitly hit the nail on the head that Kyle knows he can achieve more, but hides behind a "crappy" show so he always has something to fall back on if people give it shit.

But in reality people just like Kyle. He's genuine, a positive uplifting voice in an overwhelming critical and negative community and really captures that even though this is a big industry, at its core it's still about entertainment and there is no reason to ever take it so seriously, just have fun.

And I'm not even going to lie, as a game developer I have a lot of doubts in my career, but people like Kyle make me feel a bit better about things and help me push forward.

This is way overly analyzed and sappy, but I just want to say I appreciate his work and who he is! Thanks for some great entertainment in 2015 Kyle!

How long has that scuff mark been on Bosman's wall?

I noticed it some weeks ago and figured that must be driving Kyle insane.

I could not agree more. Great comment man!

On his goty
funny how he did not like the idea of mario maker at all before release and he ended up loving it

And the end
the rest of the wall getting cleaner while the smudge doesnt move is hilarious

Most people were pretty lukewarm on the game. E3 is when people really started looking forward to it.

Yep, I also love how the show seems to be some sort of metacommentary on this anxiety that Kyle and a lot of video game fans have over the deeply creative, often weird and niche games being harder and harder to justify making these days. His show is extremely high quality, and it has this unique and fairly niche appeal to it. His show is a lot like Metal Gear Solid in a weird way, and I'm just happy to see him stick to his way of doing things, despite it potentially hurting his potential audience. I hope he keeps fighting the good fight, and I hope that show sticks around for as long as possible.

This episode was (to me) one of the classics along with Top 10 coolest things to do at E3, the 2015 E3 special, Nobody finishes video games and of course The battle of the bands.

Every time Kyle focuses on the lore, I love it.

I've only started watching him (and Huber) weekly since E3, I saw his first few videos when he first started, but it looks like I've got quite a few great videos to watch, thanks for the links.

He's quickly become my favorite person to watch. What he says so echoes exactly what I feel about this industry, its games, creators, and players. His Pokemon episode really spoke to me, even if I'm a relative newcomer to the series.

A genuinely great and moving episode. It definitely felt like Bosman was up-front and earnest about his anxiety regarding his show and what his position entails when it comes to opinions and so on.

Great post!

I too am really appreciative of Kyle's work (and GT overall). He's easily my favorite gaming personality and I've eagerly followed his episodes and work since his "Playstation does and don't:s". Looking forward to see what he'll bring next year!

I also loved how he expanded and explained some of the lore regarding the widely successful Bosman timeline and what happened when he tried to take over the show and so on. That really cracked me up.

But I do hope Kyle can figure out who murdered Schlüffe and avenge him one day though :(

How long has that scuff mark been on Bosman's wall?

I noticed it some weeks ago and figured that must be driving Kyle insane.

I thinks it's been there ever since he moved to the tiny room without the poster, and the nice desk. He also changed the intro to "Kyle Bosman is a person who sits in a tiny room..." to reflect this.

Was there a showdown video for the last bets?

So, for some reason, I decided to go back in the thread to when the future Bosman storyline was introduced. And I found this comment:

When he first held up the time machine I thought I saw a green prophylactic built in as a component. That got me thinking about what happened with the 2 "knocked-up" supermodels and the timeline they are now in... Kyle, please wear a wig and portray Kelly Bosman the now grown-up (future) supermodel who travels back in time to save her dad from her (dad). Or whatever - time paradox - as long as it ends with The Final Boswoman.

lol, I wonder if he saw this

So I was watching some SNL skits on youtube recently, and Kyle Mooney reminds me a ton of Kyle Bosman, His Cut for Time sketches feel like pretty much what would happen if Bosman ever wrote for SNL.
