The Final Bosman Show

He has to give the low score. It strengthens his recommendation. Basically, "Don't kid yourself, I think this is technically a pretty low quality game. But the concept of the game and town is wacky enough to find some fun if you have a sense of humor."

Regarding the "next-gen" semantics debate, I'm wondering why so many are determined not to grant the Wii U as next gen while the Wii got a pass.
 
Its weird to think that a group of people spent a year or two of their lives making... that.

Well, I know its sort of a joke, but a game can be objectively bad but still be subjectively good - i.e its possible to have fun with a bad game, if only because you can't stop laughing at how awful it is.

I cracked up seeing him talk about Pimp City, lol him not knowing what ghost riding the whip was was also great, "Wait he's getting on the ground is that a bad thing?"
 
Can we just have Bosman spend an hour in the GameTrailers vaults and make fun of every oddball title he finds?

Darksiders 2 please I beg it of you, best soundtrack to read "A Song of Ice and Fire" too.

kyle needs to stay on his own show. everyone else at gametrailers picks on him on their shows and treat him like the little brother lol

heh, I've been on GAF longer than I've been at GT, but I do go for long periods without posting sometimes.

Technically, season 2 happened a couple months ago, but I'm sure you're asking about the next season which I haven't gotten started on yet. I'd like it to happen before Q4 madness starts, but even the slow summer has been fairly busy. I actually did do a Darksiders II preview episode in season 1, by the way.

Anyways, thanks for the excitement, although this thread's for the dude that sits next to me.

Nobody, and nobody ever has labelled Wii and Wii U as "not next gen" based on the requirements of Kyle and the general definition. Nobody ever denied Wii U is next gen based on definition of next gen. The problem is, over the years next gen got a different meaning based on the jump in processing power and game developers all over the world have adopted that "definition", and by those standards, the Wii U is not next gen.

I can't find it either. Looks like according to Bosman's twitter feed GT didn't like the video title "I Do Not Condone Prostitution" so he changed it to "Adventures in Pimp City" but GT must not have liked that either. Hopefully they'll change the name and put it back up.

Somebody on the GT PR team must really have a stick up their butt.

really glad bosman does the 15 minutes of play the game and edit it to the good parts...

compared to the thousands of LP'ers out there who just play the whole game and you gotta watch them to see if anything happens.

outside of GB's quicklooks , i'll never understand the appeal of LPs. its so frustrating watching someone else play a game, they're always doing something thats wrong or play the game a way i wouldn't and it just irks me.

its fine if i'm in the same room and i can tell them, "hey, no, go there or do this" but not over the internet.

Yeah, I only watch speed runs since those guys know what they're doing (Cosmo, Siglemic).

That's funny considering GB is pretty terrible. All the things you said happens all the time in GB quicklooks.

Well thats why he phrased it "outside of the GB quicklooks" meaning he's acknowledging that it happens to in the quicklooks but they're an exception to him. Reading comprehensionnnnnn yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! :3

Also, the band bit killed me, even more, the pokemon tcg bit was genuine. I laughed so hard at his reaction
 
Missed last week's Bosman due to lack of laptop so catching up now.

Man that Pimp My Ride game looks hilarious. I'm not sure what the ghost riding thing is, but Kyle's reaction to it was pretty great. Glad he's found something funny like that for Mini Bosmans!

As for this week's, not as good as most of the other ones have been. I do now want to buy Jet Moto though.

Also loving the band bits.
 
The episode made me buy Jet Moto//Rider. Forgot the game existed but I do recall playing a demo and enjoying way back when. Anyway would be great for a next gen remake :D We desperately need more water sport games!
