The Final Bosman Show

Excellent ending.

Yeah, people totally give that "Oh, I'm too busy..." in that tone that makes it seems like I am wasting my time playing games. You're not into gaming, I get it but don't talk down on my hobby when your busy time is filled with your hobby such as watching tv or gluing pictures in a book. This topic is making me angry. Maybe its the tone matched with people thinking I play games in my basement all day with no social life.

Another enjoyable episode. I liked this "video essay" style and I'd be cool with him mixing it up in the schedule with his more segmented episodes.

" 'Mario Kart 64 is still the best, right?'

*chuckles* No, it's not. No, it's not."

Kyle Bosman is great. I know too many "I wish I had time" people in my life. Not that it's a bad thing, mind you, but there's always that hint of condescension worth noting.
The EVO part was also good as this past EVO was outstanding and especially deserved some attention.

One thing I don't understand about the feelings toward Nintendo. I agree with Kyle Bosman that people like Satoru Iwata, while they may not be the best CEO's, are refreshing to have in the gaming industry just by the fact that you can tell how seriously the man takes video games. And by seriously, I don't mean that he thinks it's something to live and die by, but something that is to be enjoyed by people of any age.

However, Kyle also said this made Iwata likeable, while I also agree with since Iwata is amazing. So then, why does it seem like many people (and I'm not talking about those in the gaming industry, just regular forum dwellers and "analysts") call for Iwata's head on a pike to resign as CEO or root for Nintendo to go third party? Perhaps it isn't important at all that CEO's play or love video games, as people will hate them all the same.

You're confusing something being good and important with something being an end all be all trump card that rules over all else.

Haha, he nailed it.

There is those people, that fit one of these:

"Ohh, I wish I had the time to play games! I'm just SO busy and important"

"I used to play games, but I got SO addicted to Pacman that I had to just STOP!"

"I'd love to play games, but I can't even work the sticks! I can't even understand how to play Mario Mushroom Brothers!"

And they are all very annoying. Just say, "I prefer other hobbies over that one".

I didn't even realized I missed Evo until this episode. :-(

But another excellent episode, and I really like the format Bosman went with this time around. It amazes me how much he thinks about each topic, and then being able to deliever a high quality episode each week.

Also, I was cracking up during the whole ending. Those goddamn pictures.

I literally had the "Oh I'm too busy doing other (more important) things to play videogames" conversation last month with a fellow 20-something male.

It was pathetic and I pressed him on it because said reasons were absolute garbage. He just came off as being weird by the end in one of those situations where someone knows their viewpoint has been compromised completely but has to double down because of animal instinct.

Video essay format is awesome. Who needs lists of lists or whatever. I mean Kyle does some good list things too so I'll take what I can get.

I'm glad I'm not the only 1 getting chastised for playing games. I tell people all the time I'd rather game than watch tv. Only then do they c it as a form of entertainment & not me being a weirdo

Loved the Daigo quote... was stunned hearing it while watching the Infiltration match. Would love to know if he does money matches off-camera or if he really isn't in it for the money at all.

GT has the next hour in the Comic-Con live thing they've got going, which will feature Annoyed Gamer and The Final Bosman if you're interested.

loved him raggin' on people who talk down to people who play video games as a hobby. wish he was a lil meaner about it, heh heh

just saw the episode where he talks about EVO.

1st -- BOSMAN IS TALKING ABOUT EVO!

2nd -- I loved that he paid attention to the comments that Seth Killian was making about Diago.

I have so much respect for Kyle.

3:37 is when kyle starts speaking

i like how at the end of the video the GT narrator goes "has kyle said something the internet finally disagrees with?"

yes

wait what in the fuck
there's a new chibi robo?????

Bosman solidified his point in that part of the video just with that. WTF Nintendo. I didn't know.

kinda weird the Earthbound thing is such a big deal...most of the major and obscure PS1 games are on PSN, but Nintendo releases one game people want instead of the 20 something Sony's released and everyone goes nuts

I think people are mostly surprised that Nintendo actually did something people like :P

Another First 15 next week!

They should have ended with another band skit, using Nintendo this time, instead of Mr. Mime. I liked how he continued out of it with a straight face though.

Not every game has the ridiculously commited fanbase that the Mother series has!

Gamtrailers comments section is such a shitshow.

Another good episode, and yes a generation is mainly a function of time, not of power.

I still cannot get used to the name. The beginning of every show when he says "Hey everyone welcome to the final bosman" my first reaction is WHAT? NO! THE FINAL SHOW?!
