The Final Bosman Show

I do like his point about levels in DK being part of an actual world, whereas in Mario they've just become random obstacle courses in a void.

I definitely think TF has more instances of vertical platforming sprinkled throughout than DKCR had. And with swimming and new gimmicks like zip lines, TF is much more well rounded than Returns. I think it'll solve that particular issue for you, no problem.

Not sure I understand the runner comment. A DK speedrun surely looks like an auto scroller most of the time, but I think its also fun when secret hunting at a slow pace. That it supports both styles so well is very appealing to me.

Didn't play Tropical Freeze yet. I didn't like DKCR, but liked the original DKC more than the older Mario games. And yes, the Kong characters are better.

This episode was good, but I felt the "no news" joke were a bit too much near the ending, got a bit in the way. But this almost got me hyped for Tropical Freeze!

I always wonder on why I liked DK country and other Mario games more then the regular/3D platformer ones

Great episode. Been a fan of Kyle since the beginning. He hasn't lost his charm for me (like some have said), BUT there are episodes that are definitely a miss for him. I haven't really felt the last two episodes. So it's nice to get back to an episode where it's more commentary on games, vs. trying to be whacky/meta commentary. I don't mind the news stuff either, but sometimes it gets boring.

ANYWAYS, I pretty much agree with everything he says here. But I don't agree that it makes DKCR a better game. I think it shows that the game does things better than Mario. That the DK universe is a little more fleshed out. BUT, I still enjoyed 3D World much more, personally.
 
He raises some good points - DK definitely has better world building/ design than 3D World.

So far, I have only not liked one episode of The Final Bosman - the trolling one two weeks ago. Keep em coming Kyle.
 
I disagree with his conclusion, but his arguments are pretty solid. I was going to fight him on the one about the Kongs being more likeable, but I can't argue with Luigi just being just the worst.

The little detail about the enemies slapping you was pretty neat. I had no clue this was in there.

I like how he acknowledged that the trolling episode was bad in the bonus bit.

That part about nobody wanting the TF bundle because they already had enough was hilarious.
 
Awesome episode. My takeaway from this is that, sometimes releasing early info is a positive thing. Of course it's more complex, and companies have to schedule out their content across the year. They don't want to go long periods with nothing new to announce. But these leaks for X1 gave excitement when the X1 was looking grim.

Brother.... As in the way black people say it to each other... Lmaooo I almost dropped my iPad, laughing so hard.

Being black I never have called anyone my brother other than my brothers. But I find the white guys I work with call me brother all the time. Lmaoooooo, I had my suspicions why now it's confirmed lol

His time warping caused not only for him to fade away from existence, seeing as he is a future being in the wrong time period... but the repercussions have also caused him to have a doppelgänger effect... Liquid Bosman
 
Man, I really enjoyed that episode. I was half expecting a CBOAT mention. Poor CBOAT. He doesn't get any respect anymore.

Yeah I pretty much lost it when he said that, I've been called "bro" a lot as well..... Kind of made me go -____-
Now if only I played more mgs to have a better reference for these liquid jokes
 
It's funny cause when he's on the rant about how much liquid sucks, you can see the reflection on the window to see that he is shouting at nobody.
 
Finally started watching this after the nktrnl episode. I thought this was a series that was already over just by the title a long time ago (assumed the show was called the Bosman show and there was a thread over the final episode lol).

Great series. Don't have much more to say than that. Very nice seeing someone who seems really sincere and pleasant, even when disappointed or upset about stuff. I mean, I love a lot of other series too but it's a good change of pace.
