Couldn't agree more on the whole "exclusive" bullshit.

Stop spending money on blocking content, and start spending money on creating it!

I love how he keeps going back to what he's said before. So, so good.

I am really thankful that we have Kyle.

Did not know Beat Wars was on Netflix. Guess I should renew. Also, I just loved everything about this episode. Especially the exclusive content./first on stuff. It's dumb and annoying.

Great episode :D. He is spot on about exclusive content.
Damn straight. I think I've even written his monologue nearly word for word in several GAF posts on this topic.

Timed exclusives are only of value to marketing teams. No customer gains a damn thing from them.

Damn, thanks for the heads up on Beast Wars, Kyle!

But I think I'm gonna completely ignore it because I have a strong suspicion that it's actually a terrible show and revisiting it would only ruin one of the few bright spots in my childhood!

Dude who said he thought Gears 2 was too good is now working for Bungie.
That would be Luke Smith probably, yeah. But there were a lot more of them than that. Shu is at RPS I guess. A few more went into development but has since vanished. Can't remember his name but one of them was/is the community manager over at Visceral Games, at least back during Dead Space 2 (maybe 3) promotion.

Luke isn't the one that said it. Ryan O'donnell did. Luke went to Bungie first, followed a year or two later by David Ellis (he went to work on Halo at 343).
