Easily the best takedown of the VGX I've seen yet, even more impressive when you consider the fact that Bosman clearly had to tread lightly when dealing with his parent company's show.
He got right to the point - Viacom needs to focus on making a show for people, and not just for "gamers". It's acceptable to tune a show to your audience, but not when it turns the entire thing into a cringe-worthy marathon of bad jokes about "gamer culture". Reveals should feel exciting, otherwise why do them at all? The Division had one of the most boring, self-satisfying trailers I've ever seen at an event. It felt like a randomly picked trailer out of the 300 that Ubisoft will inevitably produce in the promotion of that game. Destiny & Titanfall didn't show off anything new.
And finally, his portrayal of Reggie as a well-meaning guy with the ghost of Cranky Kong driving him to irrational decisions was perfect. For fuck's sake, he brought on a Retro Studios employee, wore a Metroid Pin, then had the gall to act like this was a real announcement.
