Good games tonight guys. It is kinda a crappy deal for the losing team is there anyway this could be remedied for later games maybe like neutral flag or something instead of 1 flag. Cause we did both tie a game and win a game it is just a matter of which order the wins fell

lol i see where you are coming from man with the first counting as both wins and you set up the tourny so i would say it is your call. I would just say for later games i would def go with a neutral flag because it is just a hazy situation as to who won i can see arguments from both sides unless everyone one else involved thinks we should stick with the one flag

I'd also like to thank team 2 and there captian trasher for being understanding about my retarded internet connection here at my parents house that made me drop those games. I appreciate it guys, and it was fun

Here's an easy solution:
Game 1 is One flag on high ground. If after the rounds, the game is a tie you play a sudden death. Restart. If the offense scores, the defense has ONE chance to score or game 1 is over. If the defense stops the offense, and then scores on their offensive turn, Game 1 is over. That makes it like a college football overtime. Each team gets a chance to win, but if Blue scores on offense and Red fails, blue wins. Blue fails on offense, Red scores, Red wins Game 1.
Then, there wouldn't be this Tie game. It seemed as though Team 3 was better at One flag, while team 2 dominated KOTH. Unfortunately, since you can tie, team 3 will go to the losers bracket.
Does that One flag option make sense to people?

I can also play after I get out of work, but that varies, so it'll be a long shot. The weekends should be a bit more open for me, though, especially Sundays.
In two weeks, my work schedule will be changed to Friday, Saturday, and Sundays as my days off, which would be ideal, but I'm afraid that's too long from now.

Like I said before, if you guys can get everyone (minus me) online at the same time, go for it. I don't want to be the one person who holds back this match. I'm well aware that my current schedule doesn't allow for many playtime options, and I have no problem with someone replacing me as long as it helps get the game played.
I'll be ready for the next tourney, though. Like I said before: in two weeks, I won't have to work weekends anymore. That should be a major plus for whenever tournament two begins.

If people start playing one flag to a win, it isn't done for both rounds, unless neither team scores, or both teams score during the 1st wave. It should be college football rules. The offense already had their shot.
Example:
One flag is played and both teams score 1 capture. Overtime is played.
Blue is offense/Red is defense in overtime. These results could happen:
Blue scores, Red has their offensive round to score or they lose.
Blue does not score, Red scores, Blue loses.
Neither team scores, continue playing following above guidelines.
I for one, think going forward, that is a better idea than having a tie.

Well, Ramirez said that the 3rd game is only needed if the first two games are tied, and he is the tournament creator so he can make and change rules as he wishes.
Although, it probably should of been mentioned before the tourny started.
To me, it doesn't make sense to not have a clear winner after an odd number of games.
I play for fun, so the outcome doesn't matter that much to me.
If the majority of players want a rematch, then one should be held I guess.

On a different note, do you think the idea I had is good for One Flag? Every game from here out could use it, and I think that would make the games the most fair. One team could be just a little better at One Flag, but still tie under the current settings. While the other team may be just a little better at KOTH, but there is no tie, so they win the whole thing. The team that's better at KOTH doesn't need to try to win One Flag, they just need to hold on.
