Well I think technically we both won the first one. That's how Bungie scores it!The Wispy Scoundrel said:I don't mean to be a killjoy (no pun intended), but that's messed up. If the first game is a tie, then there are no winners or losers. So the next two games following were up for grabs. We should still have to play a decider - Team 2 did not win the first game.
Anyway, nice playing with all you guys, finally!
Ramirez said:Well I originally wanted to run Multi flag on The Pit, but a lot of people said they don't like the Pit so I went with 1 flag instead. Like I said, feel free to play another game if your team feels it is actually 1-1.
Ramirez said:As for Team 1/Team 5, how does Sat. at 6 EST sound? Pretty sure I have work off, but if I don't I'll report back.
Cap7ain Blood said:lol i see where you are coming from man with the first counting as both wins and you set up the tourny so i would say it is your call. I would just say for later games i would def go with a neutral flag because it is just a hazy situation as to who won i can see arguments from both sides unless everyone one else involved thinks we should stick with the one flag
Ramirez said:If 4v4 cannot happen between the teams, then 3v3 is to be played. If one team has 4 show up and the other 2, then you all can pick to give the other team your extra guy.
Jack Scofield said:What happens if the team who gained a person wins? Does the extra player continue playing for this team, or will be be out of the tournament, since his "real" team lost?
And finally seeing a game being played makes me all the more anxious to play our match.
Trasher said:I would just like to say that don't worry too much about what works and doesn't work right now with the tournament. Try to look at this as a beta. We will have this all worked out soon enough, and the second tournament will be much better. :lol
K, see you in three weeks when we can all play again. The Wispy Scoundrel said:Considering it was hardly made clear in the Tournament rules, and everyone on Team 2 & 3 agreed to playing that last game on Guardian, we should be given the benefit of the doubt and have to play a decider. It's only fair.
t4ng0 said:is blueblur off the grid - my pm's fall by the wayside...
deepblue- care to organize your team and shoot me a pm on what times work?
Sorry guys, I got sucked into Burnout last night. But no one messaged me though.
I've already PMed my entire team but I see the consensus is Wednesday night. I really don't want Jack to be left out though. I'm available every night after 6:30PM EST so I'm hoping we can knockout this bad boy on Thursday night or at least one or two days after.
Deepblue said:Alright, can we schedule Thursday at 6:30~ PST?
If we want to get everyone in we'll have to push it off until the weekendJack Scofield said:All times are PST.
Tuesday: Any time between 1-4pm
Wednesday: 1-4pm
Thursday: 1-4pm
Friday: 1-4pm
I can also play after I get out of work, but that varies, so it'll be a long shot. The weekends should be a bit more open for me, though, especially Sundays.
In two weeks, my work schedule will be changed to Friday, Saturday, and Sundays as my days off, which would be ideal, but I'm afraid that's too long from now.
Trasher said:So does Team 3 want to do a rematch tonight on one Flag until someone wins? :lol
And can my team be there?
squatingyeti said:I'm not upset. I'll take the loss. I think it makes sense going forward though, don't you guys? If people start playing one flag to a win, it isn't done for both rounds, unless neither team scores, or both teams score during the 1st wave. It should be college football rules. Each team gets a chance at offense. If the score is still tied, continue playing until one team scores and the other doesn't. If the team that was defense first, scores first, they win. The offense already had their shot.
Example:
One flag is played and both teams score 1 capture. Overtime is played.
Blue is offense/Red is defense in overtime. These results could happen:
Blue scores, Red has their offensive round to score or they lose.
Blue does not score, Red scores, Blue loses.
Neither team scores, continue playing following above guidelines.
I for one, think going forward, that is a better idea than having a tie.
I'm going to New Hampshire for skiing and visiting the parents this weekend, but I'll definitely be bringing the XBox and tv . With enough notice, I'll be free anytime Sat, Sun, and Friday night.EazyB said:Jack's busy during weekday evenings.

Good deal, hopefully, at the very least, we'll get this first game done by the end of the week.Revengeance said:I'm going to New Hampshire for skiing and visiting the parents this weekend, but I'll definitely be bringing the XBox and tv . I'm also free tonight. I'll get on around 7 est, and just stay on (as away, if I'm not playing).
I'm confused. Some of you want to play a decider and some don't. Make up your minds. >_<The Wispy Scoundrel said:Let's have a decider sometime later this week.

Unless I missed it, no games were played. There wasn't even much of an attempt to get a game goingJack Scofield said:Just got home from work REALLY early. Did teams 4 and 6 play their game?
Pretty sure it is just Wispy that wants one haha. Blood and I agreed it would be too much of a hassle to get our teams together again for one game. So we are just gonna move on. We now know how to set it up for next time though.roosters93 said:Well, Ramirez said that the 3rd game is only needed if the first two games are tied, and he is the tournament creator so he can make and change rules as he wishes.
Although, it probably should of been mentioned before the tourny started.
To me, it doesn't make sense to not have a clear winner after an odd number of games.
I play for fun, so the outcome doesn't matter that much to me.
If the majority of players want a rematch, then one should be held I guess.
Ramirez said:It's double elim, so it's not like they're done for good anyways.
I'm free after 2PM EST.Deepblue said:I think we're going to have to wait for Saturday for T4 v T6. What time is best for everyone?
Sorry, I've read them all, but I haven't responded. I thought I had made it clear that we would wait it out till the weekend for Jack. Regardless, let's get this going on Saturday.t4ng0 said:blueblur appears not to notice pm's, so deepblue - feel like organizing that thur team 4?
Yes, we all understand that. There was never an argument about that. The Wispy Scoundrel said:Nah, I know it would be a hassle to set the game up again, there's no denying that. Personally I just don't feel your win was justified - make no mistake though, I had a fun time playing with you all, but a tie game doesn't equal a win or a loss for either team in my opinion. A tie is a tie - simple as that.

Let's try 5PM EST. Does that work for everyone?Jack Scofield said:Anytime before 4PM PST should be good for me.
