Well, that was disappointing. How do you not focus your penultimate episode of the season on your main antagonist but a nuisance Barry has to fight from time to time? The Rogues stuff felt like padding and then the fight was over too quickly (for budget reasons I'd presume), but they could have used the whole hour to maybe explore Wells' motivations a little bit more or have him toy with Team Flash.

Something's off about this promo image...

Captain Cold is the Flash's biggest recurring villain, and this episode is a huge set up.

God, I loved that episode. The whole interaction between Cpt. Cold/Golden Glider and Team Flash were funny as hell. I love Snart, he is awesome and this new setup can get quite interesting. Man, next week when?

Well, first of all, he shouldn't be. It's only gonna get more hilarious the longer the show goes on unless they give Snart and the Rogues in general a serious upgrade.

Second of all, you still don't spent 4/5ths of your penultimate episode on something else than your main storyline. The problem is, that while they managed to somehow convincingly tie the two plots together last week this week it all felt kinda disjointed.

So wait, if Reverse is from centuries ahead, has he been stuck going only backwards for ages then? To fight Barry in 2024 and go back again to the present?

.
They just did give him an upgrade - a team of rogues. To be a danger to Barry the rogues either need to outsmart him or gang up on him. As this episode has shown he can't handle multiple superpowered rogues at once.

...Did Eobard basically turned the whole Particle Accelerator into a Speed Force battery so he can get enough energy to go back/forward in time?

Could make sense why he let himself be caught. That way he would be right in the center of it, perfect place to siphon the power. So Flash had no other choice but to go back in time.

Not exactly. It seems once The Flash reached a certain speed level (sometime between 2020 and 2024) he awakened the Speed Force which gave all speedsters enough speed to travel through time. So Reverse Flash can 'freely' travel between 2024 and his own time, but he decided to chase Barry past that to a point where the Speed Force was yet to be activated and that's how he got stuck.

I take it you've never read The Flash before. You're going to have to get very used to Captain Cold. He's ever present and leads the Rogues. Him personally being a threat is not really all that important to the character.

Still, as compared to the main timeline (which this show pretty clearly branched off of), it's pretty close. It'd be fairly amazing if the "Flashpoint" everybody's expecting takes place in something a lot closer to the traditional DCU.

Good lord my grammar was awful in that post, good job deciphering that mess.

Don't forget, Thawne knew that Flashpoint was the wrong timeline. If that was the case here I would expect Wells would share that knowledge and taunt Barry with it. After watching the preview again, I don't think Barry will save his mom.

Flash really almost hit 6 mil viewers last night? :0

Still has a ways to go to hit the peaks of smallville on The WB

(peaked at around 9 million~)

After this show hits Netflix and if the finale is good... They have a shot at taking Superman's throne

People actually expected Ben Affleck to show up in this episode ? lol

when the episode synopses get posted here, somebody usually throws stuff in as a joke, so I can see that somebody who isn't familiar with the joke could think the extra stuff is official.

This show needs Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle. I figure the budget isn't high enough for the CGI needed for that though. But that character would fit in so well. Mexican like Cisco, also a huge dork, would probably be enamored with everyone.

At this point, Cisco is actually my favorite character. Doesn't make sense, but I wish HE was blue beetle. or Vibe. Or any superhero. Just give the dude powers on TOP of him being the coolest dude on the show!

That was amazing.

But when did Ollie get time off to fuck off to help Barry?

Looks like it happened when Olie was in Starling
, hunting for Nyssa. The city is just couple hundreds miles away, so he could make it in time. Heck, when he returned after "failing" to kill Nyssa, Maseo commented how long he was out and that other league members were suspicious he split. So my guess is that it happened then.

Hey don't throw this on my accurate and truthful synopses. Look at the poster who fell for it.

Hope everyone is looking forward to tonight's Arrow finale!

That was some really dumb comic book shit, like a childish fanfic with Sonic the Hedgehog solving crimes with Obama. They were willing to sacrifice the fantastic plot and pacing that this show had since the last few weeks just for the sake of pushing their middling spin-off and making the audience pay attention to Arrow's crappy third season. Pretty nice of Ray to create those arrows on his malasian cell under the effects of sleeping gas.

If anything last episode was the pacing killer. Joe even says "Grodd is here to slow us down". This weeks episode felt like it advanced the plot much more
