That was the best episode yet, though Barry really needs to get over Iris already. That aspect of the show just isn't working. At all.

Also, that train sequence was really well done.

Since nobody posted Felicity gifs yet.

Thank you. Felicity never looked more gorgeous. DAMN!

Wentworth was just perfect tonight. I don't know if I'll be able to handle the Captain Cold / Heat Wave combo.

And that preview just went and made this break feel even longer.

Every single time Felicity was on screen:

Felicity is awesome, her tone is perfect for this show. I hope she becomes a frequent guest star.

Best episode yet, loved Captain Cold cannot wait for the Rogues. CGI does leave something to be desired but nothing that takes away from the show..

Worst part Wells not standing up from his Wheelchair and taking off his glasses.

You know what? I'll agree with this, they need to stop the Barry pining over Iris and just let it occur organically if it ever does, comic canon be damned. They have a perfect set up to explain them not getting together anyway.

I too missed it but I think the ending we got almost made up for it.

Which side would the progressives take in that case? One of the few racially diverse couples in fiction is being retconned/downplayed, or a minority character has agency and turns down the typical white protagonist? I can see it going either way.

That was an amazing way to establish Captain Cold. Miller did an awesome job. Fuck, this show is awesome.

Really what I love about this show is that its great on its own merit. It's not a similar style of show as Arrow and doesn't feel like a Flash version of Arrow. This episode really sold me on the series.

Yeah I would like to see her again on the show but I doubt it will happen too often since if she's filming for The Flash she wont be able to film for Arrow.

This episode was excellent. One thing that barely has been discussed yet was the train rescue sequence. It is sort of a plot hole that Barry allowed Cold to shoot the train (sort of because Barry has consistently been slow on the start up in past episodes but it just feels like it shouldn't be that way in general) but the way they did the CGI as he saved everyone was god like.

Also trivia night was awesome. Barry and Felicity were just way too cute in their nerdy ways.

Felicity just can't get over that salmon ladder.

Stop fronting. None of us have.

I'm going to start a game. Everything Wells says i'm going to add "or i will fucking kill you" on the end.

I'll drink to that.

Speak my name and I shall appear.

Didn't happen in the Legend of Korra OT. Do we have to click our heels together?

Pink dress please.

The level of effects this episode has cemented my belief that they could do a villain like
Grodd
and have it look plausible.

They did a good job with Captain Cold, deadly, a real threat to Barry, and now he knows who the team is seems likely we'll see a "captain cold fucks up star labs" episode at some point.

Miss my Ed stinger though, those make my week. Kinda expected a scene showing he was actually responsible for the gun going missing.

Well, I'm glad there's finally a villain that can bring Flash down, makes it more interesting. Miller sounded too much like a stereotypical evil villain though (only thing missing was a sinister laugh), felt too cheesy at times... but I'll admit I started to warm up to him a bit towards the end.

But still, really liked the episode, and the train sequence was very cool. Feels like the series is finally starting to go somewhere after a few villain of the week episodes.

Entertaining, although I continue to dislike the overly obvious dialogue ("We'll find him, Cisco. Together.) and Iris. This show has a big Iris problem, especially obvious when Felicity guest stars and she has about 100 times more chemistry with Barry.

(I'll admit the Eddie/Joe car scene with the radio made me laugh so at least the former isn't a complete waste.)

I also expected more from Wentworth Miller, but he basically just took his Prison Break character (complete with blank stare and monotone voice) and made him do bad things. Not that the script gave him much more to work with.

They actually do have chemistry but for Iris it is more like a pseudo-sister/brother relationship. It would take a lot of work on the show runner's part for me to believe Iris could make that leap to sexual chemistry at this point.

Thank you.

I like Iris' actress a lot. Their relationship is just a weird terrible mixture of incestual friendzoning.

Kinda wish Iris didn't exist and her actress played Caitlin instead of Panabaker, who is, uh, not so good.

I was expecting a superpowered Scofield, but it is great they can still do powerless people that pose a real threat.

Who doesn't know what Han Solo's ship is called?
Thawne is definitely from the future.

Best episode yet. Wentworth is the perfect kind of cheese.

Question for comic people. I thought I heard Captain Cold was an honorable rogue/thief who doesn't kill and that's part of what makes Flash's villains special. Is that wrong? Dude was trying to merk people left and right.

Yeah that was my one negative for this episode. I did really like Wentworth Miller as Cold that aside.

Cold was a pretty nice guy for being a stoic criminal. He only actively killed the guy that hurt the guard. In the museum he was risking deaths on purpose of course, but he didn't do it for the kicks or out of spite, he was testing the Flashs speed and for all he knew he could've been fast enough to save them all. And remember when he let the guard go, instead of just freeze him ("You wanna end up like the door?"). Or his former partners, he could've killed them easily, but didn't.

Not saying that he is a good guy, but I can see him forming the code of honor later.

Highlight of the episode

captain cold was cool too

Why did I click on this thread.

Why does what Felicity is wearing feel like I've spoiled myself.

Excellent episode. Really loved that the main bad guy for the episode
got away. Helps to have set of bad guys able to beat the Flash and come back for more later on.

I'm not so up in Flash lore. Who was the guy at end?

I don't think you have to spoiler tag whats already been aired.

That was Heatwave. One of the Rogues.

Heatwave

Best part of the episode apart from Felicity's dress was Snart's smirk when Cisco called him Captain Cold.

So Eddie is basically the Tommy of this series, right? Romantic rival with the same surname as an iconic villain, ultimately a red herring while another character turns out to be that villain?

Promo looks crazy good.

btw, did anyone else the IGN review for the latest episode? They actually gave the show a minus for "iffy CGI." I mean, really? For a TV show, I thought it was pretty damn good.

Fun episode last night. I like the more sunny disposition of the show, and Gustin and the rest of the cast are doing a nice job. Good that there's still a hint of menace with whatever Wells is up to, and I thought Captain Cold was the best villain they've presented thus far. I have some minor complaints about the clunky dialog, but it's not enough to sour me on the show.
