Well Ferrari are in a bit of trouble, no doubt about that.

Found it really funny over the last test how Red Bull did their usual antics of covering the rear of the car with umbrellas, engineers etc which drew MORE attention to it and meant nobody bothered to check out McLaren with some pretty big updates. A lot of confidence coming from McLaren, this should be a cracking season!

I never noticed he headbutted into the glass, damn.

Must be one of my most memorable sportsmoments ever. Those last laps man, those last laps.

Aye, the most agonising lap I have witnessed - with the onboard from Hamilton going too deep into every corner to try and get at Vettel.....it was just astonishing what happened that day.

Button's final lap at Canada had a similar feeling of awesomeness, but instead of desperation, it was just hope.

I still love the stupid people who think Glock purposefully slowed down to let Hamilton win.

Fiery the Angels rose, and as they rose deep thunder rolled. Around their shores: indignant burning with the fires of Orc.

The Ferrari doubters will be proven wrong by seasons end and what a glorious sight it will be.

Tell me about it.. When Kubica passed Hamilton I almost lost my voice ..

I really wanted Massa to win it .. ah well..

It was always going to end in tears for either of them, the Massa should have won and Hamilton deserves to win it arguments are completely irrelevant to me.

I just think that the way Massa lost it after having it in his grasp was much more cruel than under-performing in the race and losing it. That is way I think making fun of the situation a couple of years later is not funny and a useless thing to bring up to mock.

Totally agree.

Amazing championship and an amazing ending.. 2007/2008 were really breathtaking .. even 2010 in that matter

I think that clip is pretty funny. Poor bastard got as close as he possibly could and lost it.

I wish I watched the 08 season. I have the whole season dowloaded and I've watched that race but knowing how it turns out means it will never be as exciting. Compare that to Canada last year when I was on the edge of my seat for the last few laps!

I almost broke my T.V when Hamilton won the WDC in 2008, really hated him in 07/08. Thankfully I'm not like that anymore and I don't really hate any drivers in F1.
Hopefully we get a close championship all the way until the last race this year, 2007-08 seasons were amazing in terms of the championship, same with 2010. There's nothing better than having two or more drivers fighting for the championship coming into the last race of the season. I remember 07/08 seasons finales all over the news in the build up, created an awesome atmosphere and most of my family who never watch F1 gathered around during the Brazil 08 to watch the race.

I still don't know how they didn't realise it was still up for grabs. I knew Hamilton had a chance still and I didn't have all of Ferrari's analysts etc at my disposal.

Yeah but you're not his family. Emotion takes over!

That's why I can step back and see the humour in it. For them it was probably one of the worst moments in his career.

What was fucking hilarious about that incident was that everyone in the whole paddock first thought Massa was the WC except for Nicole 'hurrdurr' Scherzinger.

You know what's even funnier?

HRT just sent out their email to the Press with links for video footage of the car and interviews.

Fine right? But get this...

They're hosting it on Apple's me.com! Now I can't download because they are out of bandwidth on their me.com account! For god's sake let me host! Brrrutal!

Several Twits are reporting Marussia passed their final crash test

They did:

Marussia has announced that it has passed the final FIA crash test, clearing its MR01 to race in the Formula 1 season-opening Australian Grand Prix in just under a fortnight.

The team had failed the last of the 18 mandatory crash tests required before it could start testing, meaning its only pre-season running came in a 'filming' day at Silverstone on Monday.

By that time the car had passed an 'unobserved' test, but the test needed to be seen by an FIA observer before it could be signed off - which has now taken place.

Marussia's technical consultant Pat Symonds said only minor alterations were required to get the car through the test.

"After a challenging few weeks for the team, we are pleased to have overcome the last hurdle of the final FIA-observed crash test, which we passed today," he said. "The component in question actually passed an 'unobserved' crash test but has been performing inconsistently in the observed tests.

"The previous fail was only marginal so we needed to have a slightly more robust solution in place. A few minor adjustments to the original concept of the component was all that was required.

"We were all thrilled to see the new car out on track over the past two days and whilst we have a lot of catching up to do, we take heart from the fact that everything is back on a more positive trajectory. We now look forward to the challenge of the season-opener in Melbourne next weekend."

Because of the rivalry with Alonso?

That was one big reason during 07, and all the people I knew who watched F1 back then were so anti Alonso and pro Hamilton. I was also a fan of Massa and when Alonso moved back to Renault in 2008 I really wanted Massa to win the WDC.

Personally think that the 1964,1976, 1986 and 1994 season finales were more thrilling than 2008.

1964 in particular after all the drama and John Surtees becoming the only man in history to win the motorcycling world title and the F1 world title.

Jim Clark, John Surtees and Graham Hill battling it out. It doesn't get any better than that.

Is the beginning of a new 'dream team' and the ushering in of a new era of success for Mercedes in F1? It may well be.

I can imagine a future where Mercedes, McLaren, Ferrari and a Red Bull sponsored Audi team (Red Bull scaling back, Audi taking control of the team, retaing Newey and his design team) battling battling it out at the front.

Needs more Tombazis, Stepney and less Willis, also Michael to retire and be replaced with Lewis. Britney moved on and replaced with Vettel.

The progress of Mercedes is definitely one of the sub-plots I'm most looking forward to this year. You can sense momentum is really starting to build for them.

I'm not sure how Nissan will feel about you having Audi poach their team, but other than that I with you!

I hate watching interview with Bernie. Its always so awkward & he answers questions like he really doesn't care and doesn't want to be there.

+ most of his ideas he has are ridiculous...
He loves playing with the press and winding the fans up with his comments. It's just typical Bernie really.
