Oh, and are we really giving Bruno the benefit of the doubt? He's managed to outperform Petrov, what, once? They're both pay drivers, and neither of them are in the same league as Heidfeld.

Boullier is a cretin.

He's finished higher than Petrov in 3 of the 6 races he's driven for Renault, and out qualified him 4 times.

I assume you're counting DNF?

In races that they've both finished, Bruno has finished higher once, Petrov 3 times.

:(

That aside, I found that race fairly boring except for the excitement of the last few laps where Webber was trying to spoil Vettel's fastest lap party.

Wasn't so bad when the cars were close near the start but after that it all got a bit tedious.

Is it because of the season, ticket prices or the track?
As Dilly said, a combo of the three would make me very hesistant to spend that much money on a ticket to that particular event. Whereabouts are you, Sleepless?

Hmmm. Not many other options very close by is there? I would've suggested Istanbul, but, yeah...

The other options closest to you are obviously Bahrain and now India. Not really the most amazing of choices, I understand. If the Yas Marina tickets were considerably cheaper, I'd say go for it. But $545 seems very dear for the experience you'll get. It's still F1 - so it'll still be amazing - but as far as value for money goes, I think you'll get a lot more bang for your buck at a Sepang or a Hungaroring or a Singapore if you can make it that far than a Sakhir or a Yas Marina. But that's just me.

Thing is, $545 is the cheapest there is for 3 days. It's a lot of money but I was amazed to see some tickets still up for grabs. It would be a magical experience for me and somehow $545 doesn't seem like a lot of money, even if it will leave me with a big fat zero after.

The Marina and South seats are the free ones. Marina have an amazing view, especially with the night falling in. I'll have to ponder about it as I'd really love to watch F1 this year but it costs far too much. Thanks for the advice, I have a different choices to think about now.

I missed the race. Woke up to turn on local news and they spoiled the win. I only know who took the first place. Is today's race worth watching? Anything awesome that happens or is it ring around the Rosie snoozefest after the first 5 laps?

Start is pretty eventful. Something 'dramatic' happens around Lap 25 but apart from that, it's not a classic by any means.

Just finished the race.

L O L at Massa. Jesus christ, time he got kicked out of Ferarri. At the least stewards were reasonable enough to give him the penalty this time. Then he doesn't learn from his mistake in quali and decides to take out his other wheel - good job! What a joke.

It was a terribly boring race, though. The track is great and I love watching the cars go around it, but yeah, very little happened that interested me. Hopefully when the track gets cleaner we'll have more exciting races.

Time for post-race/forum :)

Edit: Haha, Horner's comments about him going for fastest lap. Love it.

Edit 2: LOL at the marshall losing his red flag on the victory lap.

You basically live right next to the track and the seats are free ?
What are you asking us, really ?

I think he means they are the only stands with seats available, not seats that don't cost anything.

Massa is getting embarrassing. His turn-in today seemed pretty deliberate towards Hamilton. Somebody might have given a bad tip, because Massa was aiming for the orange painted parts of the track and broke his car... twice. And off the track he goes into yet another crazy ramble about his incident with Hamilton.

Massa lost it, after that impact with Rubens spring in Hungary 2009. I do not know, why is he still at Ferrari, any 'normal' team would kick him out after such abysmal season.

Eddie won't be staying for the BBC's half ass coverage, it's either all or nothing. They'll probably rope in a former driver to fill his shoes.
