When asked what he could do to end the feud, Massa said: "Nothing from me."
Hamilton added: "He hasn't spoken to me in a long, long time. I made an effort and said good luck for the race."
Massa confirmed that the British driver had spoken to him on the grid after all 24 drivers observed a minute's silence in India to mark the deaths of Dan Wheldon and Marco Simoncelli.
"Here after the one-minute silence he was [at] my side and he just said 'have a good race'," Massa explained.
"So this is trying to what? 'Have a good race' is not part of talking or whatever."

The Professor is rarely criticized because of his general approach to driving in F1 and his off-track demeanour; he was a gentleman through and through with only that infamous incident as a black mark against his character.operon said:Enjoyed the race, not a bad one. Love Massa but I think its time for him to hang up the gloves, hes not the same driver since the accident and the whole not getting on now with lewis is becoming a joke. Glad to see schumi driving great and beating britney.
Watched the Senna film last night, anyone that hasn't get watching it fantastic. Great man. Starting watching around that time a few years before it. Don't understand why prost never got the hate, like schumacher got later, for taking senna out to win
Red Bull Racing has faith that Sebastian Vettel is not taking too many risks in his pursuit of fastest laps - even though the team admits it does not like the world champion pushing so hard for the accolade. Vettel set the fastest lap of the Indian Grand Prix right at the very end of the race just a fortnight after telling his bosses that he would not push for such a feat again.
Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner said that the team was not in favour of the pursuit of fastest laps, but reckoned that Vettel was intelligent enough not to throw away a race result to chase them.
When asked if Vettel had asked for permission to set the fastest lap at the end of the GP, Horner said: "Of course not because he knows we don't like it.
"We had done our best to manage it, we had turned all the engine modes down, KERS off, and short of putting a cow on the circuit there was not a lot else we could do.
"At the end of the day we have complete trust in him. I am sure he still had the margin in there, and the main aim for him is to win the race. He knows there are no points for fastest laps, but he likes those little statistics to complete a perfect weekend."
Horner mentioned the fastest lap over the radio to Vettel after the chequered flag, having had talks about the matter in Korea.
"We spoke about it after the last race and he apologised and said, 'sorry, it won't happen again.' And two weeks later here we are.
"But he is a sensible boy, he knows. I am sure that he builds in a pretty big margin but I think he wanted to demonstrate what speed he was capable of here."
Grand Chelem's are pretty rare in this era of F1, so I applaud Vettel for going against orders, just this once for personal glory.Psychotext said:
