Kimi to Williams and their change to Renault. Next year is exciting me already.
Now all they need to do is bring back the yellow/gold on the car.

Then all would be complete... assuming they have a decent car.

Nothing will be complete until they kick out Maldonado. Isn't he like Williams' worst driver?

He has SUCH huge shoes to fill. Both his father and his grandfather were world champions, with his grandfather being the only driver to ever claim the 'Triple Crown of Motorsports'.

Atleast on the father side, complaining endlessly about a German rival who is noticeably better are not that big of shoes to fill.

Rosberg deserves the Ferarri seat. Give him a good car to show what he can do.

That said, anyone in Ferarri will be Alonso's bitch. I'm not sure if that's better than playing second fiddle to Schuey.

Only Montoya can achieve the triple crown currently (and Villeneuve under a different definition of it), if only he dropped Nascar and returned to Europe. I think he'd do well in a LMP1 car; maybe leading Toyota to victory against the might of Audi, Peugeot and Porsche in 2012 or 2013.

Yeah im not sure Ferrari is a good place for Rosberg to go. He may get a race win or two (about time!) but he will not beat Alonso over the course of a season + Alonso is going to be at Ferrari for a long time.

Ferrari would be better waiting a season & getting Perez in. Or some other wrong driver who could be Alonso's bitch until he retires :p

I'd love to see Montoya back in Europe, still one of my favourite drivers of all time. But I think he's just too well settled into the NASCAR scene.

You leave my favorite NASCAR driver alone thank you very much :p

Can anyone tell me how Ferrari went so badly wrong in 2005? They demolished everyone for years and then fell apart despite relatively minor technical changes.

Was it really all down to the lack of in race tyre changes / weak Bridgestone tyres?

The car was thought to be a steady evolution of the F2004, rather than a massive departure. The tyres were the real problem during that season. The Michelin's were just better suited to that particular rule set (tyre endurance over outright pace). If the F2005 was designed around the Michelin's, it would have been just as competitive as the F2004.

Just finished watching, hot damn Massa continues his reign of being terrible. Hamilton into absolute defeat mode again. Can't believe Massa still won't talk to him.

Pathetic that Horner again said Webber had a good race.

Damn boring race in general really. Shame that the dust makes it so difficult to pass anywhere else besides the straights.

Qatar Grand Prix coming up...

...at Silverstone.

Bernie Ecclestone backs Qatari control of Silverstone

Bernie Ecclestone believes it would be “wonderful” for Silverstone if a consortium funded through Qatar completes a deal which will give it control of Britain’s iconic racing circuit for the next 150 years.

[...]

The deal would reportedly see The Alpha Group pay an annual rent of around £2.5m, while taking on BRDC debt of £23.5m and committing to spend at least £50m developing the circuit.

[...]

“It’s a wonderful idea,” he told The Daily Telegraph at Sunday's Indian Grand Prix. “It’s what Silverstone need. They need to let the professionals run it.

“The new owners will put proper people in, commercialise it and run it properly. I don’t have any problem with it at all. They will get the job done. They won’t muck around."

[...]

“People in Europe have got to understand that Europe will be sold to the Chinese or India or these people in the Middle East,” he said. “It is gradually happening now.

“We are in no position to compete and this circuit here in India is a good example. This is private enterprise here. There is no government money but these people got on and did it. We [in Europe] sit back and hope it will happen — these people get on with it.”

The A1 Ring is so gorgeous. Can we please leave the desert and go back here?

One of my favourite ever F1 tracks, it'd be a dream to go back.

Drop one of the Spanish GPs for it.
