Fairwell, F1. Until we meet again.

Thank God NBA is going to be starting up later so I can pass the time easier till the next GP.

I'll say it again.

Dear BBC,

drop Top Gear for Formula 1.

Thanks.

Alas that wouldn't save money to spend on F1, Top Gears a huge money spinner for the BBC and selling the rights more than covers their production costs. :)

It's sad that we're not going to get quite the same coverage as we get now, but I'm encouraged by the plans they've announced.

I'd rather have Vettel winning another race, than Webber getting one gifted.

Gifted my ass! why dont you mention last year when mark won at Nuremberg even with a drive through penalty, yeah that's right the whole grid just feels sorry for him and let him win his first race. His is a great driver, it just this year was not a good year for him and to be honest there are a few races where Vettel is very lucky to win this year.

Mentioned that the bar has been raised for next year and the way he said it made it clear that it was for BBC's F1 coverage and RBR.

Cheers, can't disagree either.

Sad to think that regardless of the coverage that Sky can come up with, they'll be looking at a reduction in viewership in the UK of about 80% or so. That's just nuts and I can't see how it won't have a knock on effect for the sponsors, and therefore the teams.

So? What does it have to do with what I said? I never said he's a bad driver or doesn't deserve winning. But this win is as meaningful as Barrichello's wins during Schumacher's dominant era.

Fun season

its a shame McLaren couldn't pick up their game earlier, we would've seen the titles decided in the last races rather than almost from mid-season..

let's hope for a more competitive season next year

I just like having an excuse to post that video.

Having said that I do prefer just one supplier personally, but it honestly doesn't really bother me.

Tyre competition would be horrendously terrible for F1 again, especially when they keep trying to lower the amount of money that the teams are spending on the sport.

No thank you.

A libation for the BEEB for 3 exceptional years of coverage.

BBC F1 team, I salute you.

Now for Sky Sports to enter the colosseum of F1 coverage to see how they fare against ITV 1997-2008 and BBC 2009-2011.

My wishes for 2012:
More competative Mclaren, Ferrari and Mercedes.
And Webber :D

So, was it a good race? Only know what I heard on the radio about Vettel having gearbox issues and haven't had a chance to read through any of the posts here, but willl it be worth the download?

I'm guessing "yes", if only to see Mark take his rightful place on top of the podium :)
