I think I'll get involved with Race Manager next year. Am I at a significant disadvantage if I've never "played" it before?
You can't do much worse than me!

I dropped out of it this year because I don't like the fact you can have the best team/drivers at some point in the season. Leaves out a lot of the risk factor towards the back-end of the season.
Shaneus said:Ah. Is there a way that (like in the way our Aussie Rules tipping works) that you can have a private competition as well as being able to compete against the world? Something like that would be good, so long as other "unofficial" rules were in place. A GAF one would probably be a nice size, too. Not a heap of people compared to the full site but still enough to keep it fun.

No, because last night that was 1hr 15mins, and it only actually cut out at about 1hr 9mins.It was a power cut during the forum which messed it up, so it must just be assigned a 1 hour slot even if it wasnt actually recorded =/
I'm in next year. I only started watching F1 properly from Canada this year but it's such an amazingly geeky sport that I'm eagerly looking forward to next year already. I hope someone finds a way to create sky-player.exe
When do we usually start getting info about new cars and stuff like that?
We're all laughing at HRT now but just wait until next season.
lol

Is there not suppose to be new applicants to be the 13th team again this year?
I thought they were still wanting 26 cars on the grid, but last year none of the applicants were good enough.
Or am I imagining that?
Ken Block's gymkhana stuff is pretty entertaining, although he was shown up a bit in the WRC. But at least it got people talking about rallying again. Kimi joining the WRC also helped quite a bit. I know that's not the way to develop the image of WRC (relying on superstars from other disciplines, instead on developing new stars) on a long term basis and get people watching again, but it was a start. But I digress.Ugh, don't go there. Before you know it, we'll have Travis Pastrana and Ken Block in F1 :/

You never know in F1, there could be a big company or car manufacturer or an established name in the motorsport industry who may see HRT as a stepping stone into F1.
Maybe even Monster who are keen to replicate Red Bull's success in motosport. Red Bull Racing versus Monster Racing could be interesting.

We'll be brilliant.

They'd probably both be beating Ferrari. An energy drink fight in F1 would be hilarious.
In a sad way.

Gold Car with B E L I E V E plastered all over it. Get DrewEyes in here and he'll have a mockup for us to put on a tshirt in minutes.

Bish's avatar/head should be the emblem on the nose. And a bit bigger on the rear wing. :lol
Good to see our old leader Sub Zero in the top 10 on race manager. He did a great job with the F1/Motorsports threads but Leunam and others have more than picked up the slack in a very big way.
Haha, who would be in what position though?
I would LOVE to be one of the driver's personal engineer. I would just rage down the mic each time our nominated driver does a fuck up. F1 game-gaf knows what I'm talking about. I provide a lot of useful constructive feedback.
Leunam would have to be the team principal. No doubt
Shaneus can be our personal mascot.
No. "New Thread" on the rear wing which exposes Bish's head when DRS is enabled.
But the wing opens when you enable DRS, which makes the surface for logos and such smaller.

90% of the R&D budget? Well, then I guess we should look into holograms for the free space, when the wing opens. Remember, holograms will solve everything.Well then, I guess 90% of our funding needs to go to find a solution to that, eh?

And ultra thin OLED layers for animated gifs on the sidepods.
