Great ending, blemished by the team orders.

I have nothing against Vettel or Webber, but fuck Red Bull. They had no need to issue that order.
I'd wager they were scared of contact, not the handful of points Vettel would lose.

Still lame.

I hope Webber finds a new team, it's obvious that there is a number 1 driver with Red Bull, even though they say otherwise.

Vettel has a 1 million point lead, and still Webber can't get second place.
of course there is a number one driver. the one in the points lead is the number one driver.

Massa went round the outside, Hammy had the inside, they were both on the edge.

Yes it was brilliant racing. God I hate this penalise everyone bullshit mentality F1 has these days.
Totally agree.

Why has F1 become a sport where you need to give everyone 10ft to pass, not move to hold position and politely give up your position to anyone coming up behind you?

Hamilton was within his rights to defend the corner and had the inside line, Massa took a risk by going round the outside and it didn't pay off, simple.

Hamilton will go to stewards again. Yawn. He'll likely get a penalty.

Redbull defintely not shy about whose number 1, no more 'we let them race' ambiguity.

Yup more racing like that is what the sport needs. A few cars bumping in a close battle because drivers take risks is fucking good to watch.

Last lap, with a chanse of both of them crashing.
if it was 10 laps to go, sure than i would have been against team orders.
but there was no reason take risks in the last lap.

No finger from Alonso. Just a fist. Did you see that, Vettel? A fist. And he'll punch you with it, at least one more time.
Yeah, sure ... :(

And they know it, else it wouldn't be Horner giving the message.

I used to have respect for Horner, but that's falling away bit by bit.

I've gotta say, hearing the Spanish & Italian anthems is a million times more fun than listening to the boring German & Austrian anthems.

Thanks for the iplayer help, managed to watch it all. Shame about Button, he just doesn't get on with silverstone.

BUtton & Silverstone is so similar to Barrichello & Sao Paulo.

Should be no penalty for Hamilton then. The overtaking car is the one that gets the blame for a botched overtake 99% of the time.

........but its hamilton.....its his fault wether he is overtaking or been overtaken.

Great race, well done Alonso.

MSC did well considering his penalty.

Two great battles at the end.

Massa loves his battles at the end, Kobayashi couple of weeks back, and Kubica couple of years ago.

I despise Hamilton but he doesn't deserve a penalty for that.

Anyway, Forza Ferrari! Even though we won't win the championship, a few race wins would be nice

With the difference being that it was actually REALLY close last year + Vettel was in front! They would have had to tell him to let Webber pass for the championship.
Quite a bit of a difference compared to the situation today where Webber was told to back off somewhere in the last round because of the risk of a collision.

Seriously, the arguing is ridiculous.

That right there was one of the best racemoments in the last years that wasn't caused by artificial stuff like DRS and KERS.

Amen, we should be celebrating a fantastic race.

And this time it wasn't even his fault.

He would have been up there with Hamilton and Massa if the wheels stayed on.

Ah well. Onto Germany in a couple of weeks. Will we see rain again? Or a glorious summers day with RBR back on top? Could the diffuser issues rumble on for another race or 2? I don't think the issue is resolved by any means.

Horner trying to explain away screwing Webber. I think he'll need to avoid him tonight as he will probably get a thump in the face from Webber for this one.
