Nico Rosberg had a contract for 2018 when he retired in 2016. Im not sure lewis will want to struggle with Rusell on his last F1 years, who might be the faster driver imo.

Ye but contracts can be cancelled if a person wants to retire. Pretty much the only thing the contract does is prevent you from joining another team until it expires. So yeah, only retirement can nullify the contract.
