I think that video shows the speed of F1 cars better than anything else I have ever seen, they are taking it twice as fast as any of those other cars...

Okay, I know that this whole "facepalm" thing is old, but I was a bit bored and I never saw a F1 compilation. So, here are some drivers.

I'm sure we'll need some of those for the rest of this season.

I finally got around to rent "Senna" on Blu-ray. A very strong documentary. What an awesome driver with incredible personality he was. The politics are still the same, but the level of safety today has saved - though not without luck - F1 from weekends like the one in Imola 1994. Horrible shit.

There was a more casual and openness about the drivers of that generation. Athletes of today are trained to talk like politicians. And when they do have a moment of emotion they are instantly shamed like a puppy that wets a carpet.

I don't know what to make of the Renault situation, it's incredibly strange this. With Nick showing up in the paddock this weekend and all.

What I can make of it is, what Boullier is saying sounds to me like a man trying to reason why he disrespected and broke a contract with a driver and instead chose a pay driver to gain money. The fact that he refuses to acknowledge that something is fundamentally wrong with the team since Kubica left them is why I don't take what he says seriously.

We'll have to see how Bruno perform this Sunday, I don't think he'll be faster than Nick though.

Renault is a team molded around Kubica. Kubica leads the team, and he makes them look far better than they actually are/were.

I hope he returns by 2013 at least, and gets back up to full form quickly.

Fuck, he might not be back next year. Was hoping to see him back next year, his so awesome and i'm convinced he would have been contending for podiums this year.

Bouiller really does have it in for Heidfeld. I'm still confused by his claims that Heidfeld was at full revs the entire time during his pit which lead to that fire. Surely that can't be true?

It isn't. Heidfeld car had cracked exhuast caused by Senna in FP1. The longer pit-stop due to wheel issue caused it to overheat and fail.

The car being at full revs is standard procedure for Renault apparently.

He was contending for podiums last year. This year he should have been contending for wins.

Imagine Kubica at Melbourne or Malaysia this year... :(

Kubica will return in 2012/13, only to perform like post-accident Massa
:/

To be fair though, Kubica came back from his horrendous crash at Canada even better than he was before.

According to a certain Mika Salo, Kubica has lost a thumb. Something might have been lost in translation or he may be misinformed. He's not one to spread malicious rumours though.

If that's true, then he is finished with F1 and motorsports. :(

Why? I thought race drivers don't use their thumb? In fact, it's one thing they avoid when driving cause the rapid turn of the wheel can break it.

Kubica to become the best racing driving due to lack of thumb, confirmed!

Oh no prob. I'm sure you guys know but Right-click -> Save Target As . As in don't stream. It just creates a bit too much strain on my server.

But check out the Inside Motors, they're really good.

Yup, saving target as. Have even rate limited myself as your server seemed to be struggling. :)

Hmm, you shouldn't have to. I just rebooted as it has been up for 35days. It's probably good now.

I also just uploaded the BBC Documentary - The Killer Years -> F1.2011.Docu.The.Killer.Years.XviD.BBC.English.avi

Q. But he has more points than Vitaly; normally you swap drivers who are behind?

EB: It is my decision, okay. If I am not happy it is not only my decision, it is both decisions for this company. If you are not happy with a driver....I didn't break a contract. The best evidence is the court refused [his action].

So stone cold, I kinda feel for Nick, it's kind of embarrassing and degrading.

Awesome. Guessing that means Ricciardo will be with STR next year with the hope he'll be in the RBR the one after? I can maybe see a drive for Webber at RBR in 2014 as well just to keep points away from the other teams and to warm the seat for Daniel while he hones his craft in the STR.

The driver market in the off-season is going to be very stable this year.
Again. The top teams really appear to favour stability and nobody seems to want to move, at least for now.

Anyway, FP3 time and..it's...raining! Somewhere Jenson Button will be rubbing his hands with glee.

Rain in Practice 3.... a lot of rain.
It's Spa, it rains a lot.

According to the BBC though it should be dry for the race, which will make Qualifying very interesting.

Onboard with Hamilton and he's sliding around like a fish. If the qualifying is like this it'll be the weirdest qualifying session for years.

Cheers broseph. Depending on how heavy the rain is, will make qualifying VERY interesting.

Shame we don't get it live here in AU :/

What are the rules if they red flag entire qually? Are they gonna use best times from practice sessions [aka Mercedes on the front row]?
