*race track key chains*

lol, I was browsing their site and they had a small unpopular track near me on there (Pacific Raceways). I checked the contact page and it looks like the guy is local to me. The Nordschleife one would be cool but too big. I prefer a minimal amount of stuff in my pockets.

Leunam, the MP4 is looking good!

So what's the best F1 website for news, articles, opinions, etc?
Pf1 is good for a laugh, their forums are mental, and their opinions pieces are pretty rabidly pro British.

I can't say any one site is the best, I use a few, Autosport for news, Scarbs for tech stuff, JA is great now that he writing, that's about it, really.

just stay away from autosport forum, if you want your IQ to remain on the same level. :)

Worst. F1 Forum. Ever.

Autosport & F1 Fanatic are my go-to sites for everything F1.

And of course the BBC Sport F1 site.

:O

I'm jealous. Just a tad. That's very, very cool. Congrats on the purchase!

I've been looking into an R/C car also. Maybe a buggy or a truck. I'm pretty sure there's an indoor track somewhere here in Houston so I could take it there for some events or something. :)

i don't plan on driving it lol
plus that's the 15th anniversary ultra pimped out version of the f103, would be a shame to ruin it with scratches :p

That's a good point. :D These things take a beating.

Do you have to paint the body for the McLaren? I saw some of the body kits on there and most were blank. If you do need to paint it I would love to see pictures of the progress, either here or on your blag.

not sure about the mcl actually, ordered the chassi from yahoo auctions in japan as they are impossible to find in the west. it includes a mcl body supposedly.
/shrug

currently totally in love with the gt one, such a sex machine ;)

This weekends conditions for Vettel clinching the championship:

The big picture:
- Vettel has to be on the Singapore podium to become champion.
- if Alonso is on the podium, Vettel can’t do it.
- if Hamilton wins, Vettel can’t do it.

The detail:
To become champion, Vettel requires one of the following three scenarios:
1. Vettel wins; Alonso 4th or lower; Button/Webber 3rd or lower.
2. Vettel 2nd; Hamilton 3rd or lower; Alonso 8th or lower; Button/Webber 5th or lower.
3. Vettel 3rd; Hamilton 4th or lower; Alonso 9th or lower; Button/Webber 7th or lower.

The most likely way it's going to happen would be.

1. Vettel
2. Hamilton
3. Button

Though I'm sure the Webber fans might have something to say about that. ;)

Don't forget Alonso winning here. Plus, he's not going to forget that move Seb pulled on him in Monza!

I laughed at the webber gif's. The water glass is priceless!

eh, i feel there is a good chance we can buy our WDC caps this weekend,
it's not that RBR will be insanely dominant, but the competition will self destruct once again

Kimi Raikkonen Chases F1 Return with Williams in 2012

22 September 2011

Former McLaren and Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen could return to Formula 1 next season with Williams.

The Finn quit F1 at the end of 2009 to try his hand at world rallying but after two frustrating seasons he has had talks with Williams about joining them for 2012.

BBC Sport understands that Raikkonen is keen to join the team and Williams are weighing up the idea.

Raikkonen, 32, would partner Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado at Williams.

Maldonado is in his first season, but the team's sponsorship with his country's national oil supplier is understood to guarantee him a seat.

The veteran Brazilian Rubens Barrichello is Maldonado's team-mate this season, but his future with the team looks shaky.

The 40-year-old wants to stay on for a 20th season in F1, but sources say Williams are leaning towards not retaining Barrichello.

Williams were unavailable for comment.

One potential stumbling block is whether Williams and Raikkonen can come to an agreement on the size of his salary, but the team is hoping that his presence could attract new backers, which could help the move make financial sense.

Williams are having the worst season in their history in 2011 and currently lie ninth in the world championship with only five points.

Only the three teams who were new to F1 in 2010 are beneath them.

But it is believed that Raikkonen is serious about returning to F1 after failing to match the pace of the front-runners in the world rally championship and he has few options.

There is no space at any of the top four teams and although Williams are struggling they have strong engineering depth and are restructuring their team and Raikkonen is believed to consider that they are a good option for him.

The Finn left Ferrari at the end of 2009 after the team paid off his contract to make room for Fernando Alonso.

He won the world title for the Italian team in 2007, but his form dipped in the following two seasons and he was beaten by team-mate Felipe Massa.

After making his F1 debut for Sauber in 2001, he won 18 races in five years at McLaren and three at Ferrari.

Dammit Kimi! Stay away!

Returning in a sub-par team in F1 is bad enough, but joining a team that just keeps on heading downhill is even worse.

Williams have been quiet about the whole thing and Barrichello says he is trying not to think about it too much. Seems possible.

No no, bring Kimi back! Not nearly enough robots at the F1 press conf. these days.

I haven't seen you around this thread in a while

I don't have cable anymore so I tend to have to watch the races on delay after I download them so I avoid the thread for spoilers. Then by the time I can post it has tumbled down.
