Yeah, could easily add a few more places to improve visibility. Saw a good concept that did the wing mirrors too.
I made one last month.

I remember Jean Todt saying that the teams wouldn't even agree to having larger numbers on the sides of the car for easy identification - you know, like every other single Motorsport on the planet - because they wanted the sponsor space.

If there's anyone more removed from knowing what the fans want than Mr. E, it's the teams.

So, four days of testing starting tomorrow, so it is time for a little friendly guessing game.

What do you reckon, will McLaren-Honda manage more than a hundred laps total over those four days?

I say they make it, but barely.

Well, they did 79 in Jerez so hopefully it will be more (or at least more distance, I'm not sure how Jerez and Barcelona compare in lap length).

Jerez - 4408 m
Barcelona - 4655 m

Also Jerez uses more abrasive tarmac compared to that in Barcelona

First day of testing begins with installation laps...minus Mclaren and RBR, it is too early for them.

Well folks, this is it...
Barcelona is an important test and I'm sure we'll get a more precise idea of the real pecking order here.

I'm liking the updated livery of the Sauber, btw, old school type liveries are the best !

Not this week, but on the last test in Barcelona at the end of the month.

We will see long runs from teams...well Mercedes already done that in Jerez

Button doing fastest sector times and within 1 second of the best time. Looks like Honda finally delivered the goods.

Reports are in that sound of Honda's engine is different than it was in Jerez

Looks like some issues at Mercedes

Purple in the middle sector which is considered the aero sector, considering the lack of running in the last test so lack of set up work etc done I think we can say the basic concept of the car is good

Edit: kimi cut the chicane so his best time has been removed, button fastest.

Lewis is ill and will not drive anymore today. Rumor is that he threw up right after his first stint. Probably car sucks so much.

They are modifying the car for Wehrlein to take it over in the afternoon

Wehrlein is a lucky guy.

Force India isn't doing anything important anyways, so I guess they'll enjoy their afternoon off.

Do FI have one of their drivers at the track to take over?

It will be interesting to see what will Wehrlein do today - I think that they will switch to aero testing today or maybe do some long runs to ramp up mileage.

Apparently he did quite a lot of work in the simulator so he knows car quite well.

Perez will take over after lunch break for FI

I wonder why Mercedes won't put Nico in car? Is there a rule about testing and driver allocation?

First red flag for Maldonado!

Sauber has new livery.

They still have that horrible crest with the ugly fucking lizard or whatever that is supposed to be holding a flag (presumably with a swastika on it, given recent events) right in the centre of the car.

Hope they go out of business.

Damn, breakup with Nicole is affecting Hamster already :(

Apparently they are obsessed about equal treatment in testing. I wouldn't be surprised if one of Nico's test days is shared with Hamilton now.

Yeah, it's probably the heartbreak and partying that got him, not the insanely hard flu that's been going around this past month or so :D

Yup, looking promising for McLaren. I really hope them, Red Bull and Ferrari can get close enough to Merc to at least have some sort of fight this year.

Wouldn't mind Susie Wolff getting a drive soon, lovely looking woman.

Has Sauber announced their drivers yet, maybe she can try there?
