The Frame Rate of Fallout 4 in Interiors is horrible [PS4]

Man, after those early impressions which turned out legit, I thought things were going to be good framerate wise.

It's tolerable for me, but it honestly shouldn't be this way to begin with, imo. Bethesda has the cash to work off a new engine, so why not just go for it?

Looks like the GAF backlash is revving up early for this one.

Saw way too many people on here say shit like they quit Witcher 3 cuz of framerate (lol ok) and MGS 5 is totally the worst metal gear (sigh). Really of the large launches only Bloodborne hasnt had too much gaf-lash.

But usually we at least wait to play it before deciding its awful.

Witcher 3 was horrible though
I couldn't play long sessions without getting dizzy and headaches so say what you will but it's fact

Nah, I played that shit everyday and it was fine. I'll say what I will, but it's a fact.

I also won a math debate.

if fallout 4's map is as laggy as witcher 3 i'm just going to throw it in the trash

I have a gaming PC, but I think I'll get this for PS4. As a hardcore gamer (I play Dark Souls), I appreciate the difficulty that playing with variable frame rates adds to the experience. It adds a nice sense of realism, in real life your perception of time changes in tense situations.

Two days left, I'm HYPE!! Expecting mid to high 90s metascore, it better beat Halo at least.

LOL

I would love to think that, but you have to remember that reviewers are gamers, and gamers are affected by hype and PR. Unless the technical issues are insane like in New Vegas, they will be ignored in favor of hype.

This wouldn't surprise me, Bethesda are the most protected developer in the industry. Any issues are swept under the carpet.

Re-using existing jokes. 3/10 for effort

In my opinion, this is yet another example of Microsoft paying off the publishers to provide inferior experiences on PlayStation consoles. The Xbox has sold poorly, and it quickly becoming irrelevant, so Microsoft are resorting to cheap tactics such as having PlayStation versions deliberately gimped in order to stay relevant in the eyes of consumers. Assassin's Creed Unity, The Witcher 3, and Resident Evil Revelations 2 are examples of this awful practice. I'm sure when you play this game on the Xbox One All In One Entertainment System, this game will be 1080p at a locked 30FPS, with mods available from the get go.

It's already happening...

Will GAF survive the onslaught through 8 AM EST?

Wut? What does Halo have to do with this? Must be a joke post...right?

I remember it being pretty bad too. TW3 had also really long loading times when dying, Fallout 4 is pretty quick in that.
Deaths were definitely bad. Agreed on that. But I got overleveled and OP pretty quick in the game, so that didn't bother quite as much as fast travel did, that's why I was wondering :P

Is the framerate in the Xbox One version better?

I remember people in the screenshot thread who were sure this game would have rock solid performance, lol.

Seriously you believe tidux the guy has never been right before he's a fraud

What?

I'm talking about THEaaron guy who posted in this thread, is he tidux?

''Playing on PS4 and the drops are real. Had to defeat a small bandit camp within a dungeon instance and it nearly hit the single digit territory. It feels bad in every big fight. :(''

Some say the PS4 version has stable frame rate.
Some say Xbox One has stable frame rate.

We've seen videos where they both have issues in different places.

Best thing to do..wait for the DF's results.

I just find it weird that if the PS4 edition runs worse why would they send out the review copies for PS4 and not the Xbox one edition if it does run better. They also have the marketing with the Xbox one so why not send those as the reviews copies?

Thanks. I definitely have my popcorn ready for the DF thread.

Some Twitch streamers received the Xbox One version, not sure how the distribution is in general.

Isn't it obvious? They want the deliberately gimped version to be out among reviewers so they can trash it in the reviews and drive everyone to the superior Xbox version.

I wonder what percentage of people are going to use VATS vs FPS.

All of the leaks I've seen so far have been FPS style which isn't the way I play.
