:lol :lol :lol :lolJonm1010 said:So I came in really quick to chime in and say this is my first experience with the Half-Life universe and damn is it a good experience so far! I loved BioShock and Halo 3 but if this thing keeps geting better as it goes on (just made it to Ravenholm) then this may end up being my personal game of the year.

Crow said:I sat down and played portal first, because after the disappointing Half Life: Episode 1, I had very little interest in Episode 2. Portal was brilliant, and for the very short time it takes to beat the game, I was having one of the best Single Player moments I can remember for a long while.
Then I loaded Episode 2. Portal was 10/10 material, but Episode 2 just blew me away. I had more 'wow' moments in this game than all of Half Life 2 put together. It's not right to call anything perfect. Nothing is perfect. But damn it, I can't fault Episode 2 at all. The game is beautiful, technically and artistically. The gameplay was at times intense. The locations were diverse and interesting, and the story...damn, I think now that episode 2 is out, I can say that the Half Life series has to be the best storyline to come out of a FPS. I actually care about the characters, which is a rare thing in a computer game. The Orange box has to be the best purchase I've ever made in software. HL:ep2, Portal, Team Fortress are just quality++.

I took the risk myself and bought the game so J-Box GAF can enjoy. Play-Asia, please have more stock next time.

From the little bit i played before the game broke my 360, the original Half Life 2 looks basically like a pc port with the added effects, as i suspected. I dont know where IGN got that xbox port. Also the analog sensitivity adjustments help a lot with controls.Docpan said:So what's the verdict on the 360 version?
:lol I saw your comment earlier, and how you were just starting Episode 2, and I kept thinking, this guy is going to change his mind after he plays Episode 2! I think a lot of people weren't expecting much from Episode 2, mainly due to the fact that Episode 1, while a great game for a lot of people, it wasn't a excellent game. It was basically A New Hope, while Episode 2 is The Empire Strikes Back, full of fucking awesome and win! Light years better!Scotch said:I called Portal my GOTY earlier, but I may have to give the honor to Episode 2 now. Valve puts other developers to shame. They're just on a whole other level.

The Vorg tells me to activate the elevator "so we may reconvene" but when I throw the switch it does nothing. It just reverts back to where it was.
