Beyonce claimed a writing credit for Silent fucking Night on '8 days of christmas'?
What kind of #MESS?

The thing about Beyonce that annoys me is that none of her ideas on the creative side of things seem to be her own. If they were, she would never had agreed to wear her mothers FRIGHTFUL designs while a member of Destiny's Child.

GARBAJ actually isn't performing anymore since Pete somebody or other from Hot 97 went in for her for turning into a #SHIT pop-star.

#MESS.

Nicki Minaj playing with Azealia Banks? Risky move, the crowd will probably realise how much better than Minaj she is.

what kind of mess?
Nicki Minaj ‏@NICKIMINAJ
RT @StyledFamous: SMH. @Hot97 got it twisted. How you book @NICKIMINAJ as your headliner and then allow their DJs to disrespect

I go above and beyond for my fans. But won't ever go against wayne's word. What he says, goes.

It looks like she was supposed to perform, one of the Hot 97 DJ's came at her, so she was still gonna go on, but Wayne said no dice, and being one of Wayne's concubines meant that she had to listen to his orders.

What is going on? Because his opinion of her she cant perform? #MESS Let her do her thing for her promo and her stans. Not here for cockblocking

ibui2erdnrmDp0.gif

Lil Wayne the president of Young Money called it off, and since he basically owns her she can't do anything about it

Everything Rihanna does, music-wise, is SUPERIOR to Beyonce.

It really isn't. Rihanna is just Beyonce minus the class, talent and solid hits. Rihanna can have as many #1's as she likes, but the only songs people are going to remember her for are Umbrella and We Found Love.

In 20 years, we'll all have forgotten Rihanna, and she'll be working as a fluffer for some greasy porn director in California, remembering when she was rich and famous.

You may not have heard of UK musician Saint Saviour, but you may have heard her voice: she was featured prominently on Groove Armada's aggressively mediocre 2010 album Black Light, including two singles. After running into funding issues for her debut album as a solo artist, she took to a UK-based Kickstarter clone for musicians called Pledge Music. The result? She'll release her album, Union, on June 25. The first single off the album, "I Call This Home", is an absolute monster of a track; it opens with haunting guitars and features some absolutely gorgeous chord changes punctuated with her Kate Bush-esque vocals. It's really quite good. Linked below are the song and two of her performances with Groove Armada.

As has been previously noted, Swedish fetus Amanda Mair releases her eponymous debut album in the US on June 5. It's been out in Sweden since February and there's been a lot of positive buzz around it. Her voice and her musical style are less up-front than a lot of her pop contemporaries (even in Sweden), so the album doesn't have any bangers. But it's a solid debut with some nice tracks and it merits a listen. The strongest songs are probably the three singles, "Sense", "House", and "Doubt", along with the sweet "Skinnarviksberget", which is adorable despite some questionable lyrics ("won't you kiss me and spoon me the rest of your life", etc).

Another day, another indie Candian synthpop outfit sending the hipsters into a frenzy. This time it's Mozart's Sister, whose sunny, blippy sound has a lot of people on the internet going crazy. It's pretty good. Also, you can download their 3-song EP Dear Fear for FREE on bandcamp. The EP came out in March but the lead song, "Don't Leave it to Me", is just now starting to percolate around the web. It's worth the ~25MB on your hard drive. Given the attention, it's likely their next moves will be well-documented. Make sure you get a screencap of the files on your computer so you can prove to your friends you discovered them before they made it big!

Another debut album coming out on June 5 is from Brooklyn-based Friends, who make funky indie pop. They've gotten quite a bit of support from the press and were nominated for the BBC's "Sound of 2012" poll of music critics (previous winners include Adele, Little Boots, and Ellie Goulding). The stuff they've put out is a bit more complex and more bass-driven than other pop music, but it's interesting, groovy music. Plus, the lead singer is really attractive (and has a great voice). Expect good reviews for Manifest! and some hype over the next few weeks.

Pop newcomer Michael Diamond, aka Blood Diamonds, is preparing to release his debut album, "which hopefully will be out in early-2013", according to his website. In the meantime, the track "Phone Sex", featuring Canadian synthpop weirdo (and GAF hero) Grimes is getting a release on July 16 in Euroland and July 24 in the US. It's a more traditional dance song than Grimes' usual stuff (if a steel drum-driven melody can be considered "traditional") and the result is the best thing she's ever been a part of.

UK guys Plant Plants made some noise when they released their debut EP, which was an interesting fusion of synthpop and electronic influences. Their second EP, EP 2, drops on June 18 and features more great stuff. Co-produced by Jas Shaw of Simian Mobile Disco, this will probably get some buzz in a few weeks in the right corners of the internet. They've put the lead track and a teaser up on Soundcloud for those interested.

Bright Light Bright Light, a club promoter from the UK (I think?) has an album full of light, dance-y indie pop dropping TODAY, called Make Me Believe in Hope. A friend passed some of his stuff to me a while ago and despite some songs being produced by Boom Bip (!!!) I thought it was pretty forgettable. But! A video for the lead single, "A New Word to Say", just showed up and it's uhh... growing on me. That is to say, I enjoy looking at his voice.

Last year Icelandic electronic group/pop musicians/bizarro collective/art project GusGus released their latest album, Arabian Horse. It's pretty much the same as their previous output: dance music with an unconventional structure and an offbeat style. It didn't do very well outside of Iceland - their music never does - but they have something of a cult following among musicians and it's good, weird fun.

MOBLIN Inna has just released 3 new songs on YouTube.

Tu si Eu (You and I)-Her first Romanian language song, and my personal fave. Hope it's a single because it is flaw free.

http://youtu.be/XmSKex303Qk

Alright - Probably my least favorite of the three, but still good.
http://youtu.be/EJ0RFeB7nsA

Okay - Flawless. Definitely single potential.
http://youtu.be/GGWNZKCjQoY

YESSSSSSS Inna is amazing, I love when she sings in Romanian! I will find some way to buy these because my iPod needs them.

Also:

Moblin where you at? I have no idea why I just now discovered this song, but it's SLAYING me.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kWB3Vl_xRI

Not to mention she looks amazing. Flawless Euro pop goddess if I'm being honest.

Edit: Trigger you seem to have the best gifs tbh <3 Bridesmaids
I'm stanning (hur hur) for Lemonade. This has potential to be big. I fell in love ten seconds in.
MY ROMANIAN QUEEN HAS A NEW SONG? I CAN'T WAIT.

Edit: I was skeptical about stanning for her since she only has one hit single, one album, and 3 songs I really like. But after seeing some of her interviews (won't link because most are in ROMANIAN) I think I'm ready to declare myself an Alexandra Stan stan. Hope she breaks out.

Spread that Romanian love! It's so beautiful... ;_;

And

I've grown to really love 'Somewhere' from Magic Hour. I wish that it was on YouTube so I could share with you all but unfortunately :(

So I can only give you a Spotify link instead: http://open.spotify.com/track/6fE8ZCIHTVc6SaTU61STeI

I love that production. Uplifting. Soaring. Life giving.

Especially the soaring synthy crescendo at 2:55. I do still sort of wish they'd pushed it on to about five minutes like with Invisible Light and really gone to town on it. I have a feeling it could have been a glorious thing.
forgot to post about it 'til now.
Saint Lou Lou- Maybe You

These are really good.
