Not really a big deal, the double was used for the paint scene in HIAM, and for a millisecond in TTWE which in the Dance version it turned out Brit did the same move as the double so they used Brit's footage, not really an issue because in the end when people made an issue of it in the final cut the footage was all her dancin not the double.

Not after all this time. Plenty of dancers have returned to form after having similar injuries, with plenty of discipline and physical therapy.
Even for highly trained dancers, doing complex choreography as effortlessly as Britney used to takes hours upon hours upon hours logged in at the dance studio drilling every move into your mind and body. She's just over it at this point in her career. Which is sad, because hanging with the dancers and learning new choreo used to be her favorite part of the process, from what I remember reading.

Her VMA performance of gimme more was flawless.
Actually, I think Britney is one of those rare dance-centric artists that danced harder during her tours/live performances than she did in her videos.
The Dream Within a Dream tour was Britney at her most athletic, but overall I prefer the choreography from The Onyx Hotel Tour so much more.

Reminds me of the Mad TV parody. This one was more amusing, though. I enjoyed it parodying that part of her appeal back then.

I place the blame squarely on her former choreographer, LaurieAnn "A-BOOM BOOM KAT!" Gibson. Frankly, I always thought her choreography was terrible. Amazed a high-profile artist like Gaga stuck with her for as long as she did.
If Gaga were smart, she'd hook up with Darrin Henson - the man responsible for the legendary and iconic choreography from Britney's debut era.

Speaking of that era, I remember being thirteen or fourteen and nearly all of the boys at school talking about this performance.
not really the same era but it was the last performance on a awards show before Slave came out lol which no one even heard the song until the VMA performance
I know that. I didn't mean "era" in the sense of referring to a particular album; just that it was during her heyday.
