The Game Awards 2016 Thread: Kojima Time Featuring The Kojimas

Definitely in a gaming side thread right now

This sound mix definitely is subpar though, also the spot in the show seems way out of place

LMAO

all your comments are cracking me up.

I don't know what I was expecting this year tbh. It's a magical train wreck so far IMO.

But this is nonsense hahahahahagagvava!!!!!!

Yup, this music is awful. I really don't know who they were attempting to cater to with this.
I mean, sure, there'll be a portion of their viewers who will dig it, but is it really that large of a portion?

CD project red did it with cyberpunk
That gets massively hyped

That's so different, there isn't even a comparison.

CD Project Red just came off Witcher 3 and already has an engine. In fact, work on it was already started before the game was announced, the same cannot be said for Death Stranding. The announcement was a trailer and was to introduce the concept and call it quits. You're not seeing anything else until you see the game. Death Stranding has had two concept pieces in 5 months and I can almost guarantee you'll see more at PSX. This is blind hype for the sake of blind hype.

That Death Stranding trailer was classic Kojima. Like straight-up MGS1 vibes.

Add that to Zelda trailer, and Run the Jewels...already better than E3.

The show is much more risqué than last year, fucks and shits, dead babies and a man performing fellatio in front of the whole world on every device.

I don't mind when shows have musicical guests...but I feel like the show just started. Save the musical performances for midway or after the show.
