The Giant Bomb Quick Look Thread 2

Warframe just looks...pointless.

I got myself into the beta after the Quick Look, and as he tends to do Jeff undersold that game by playing it in the most boring way possible.

All the different abilities make combat a lot of fun, and the melee stuff is super satisfying. It still needs some work, but me and my buddies have been having a lot of fun with it.

As I was watching I was thinking that Eurotruck had a chance but then Vinny pulled out the "I do all my magic on a Mac" line and I still give Harry Potter the edge. Also caveman Ron is pretty tough to beat. I'm also glad that they must have recently watched Wizard People before doing the QL.

After the QL I got it on PC because the wait for an Android version is taking too long. Hopefully it will happen in the near future though (development is delayed because of optimization issues for different android platforms) because I need this on the go.

Ron Gilbert and Chris Remo on the QL would have been too perfect.

No Chris? :(

But he did a lot of cool stuff on this game....

Well guess we'll have to listen extra good to this week's Idle Thumbs.

Oh good, between this and Walking Dead they can 'streamline' adventure games by not making anyone solve any puzzles. I mean, who wants to actually think?

Speaking of this, how the hell do you finish this game? I've had all the upgrades for a while now and my best is still only like three million.

You used to have hundreds of items in older adventure games, Gilbert? HUNDREDS?
Turn on the potions that make the enemies harder but give you bonus score percent. You should be able to get +45% score or something. Then just get lucky.

Me. I like point and click adventures but I hate pixel hunting shit and puzzles where you have to combine two random items to have a third item to then use on a specific thing. I just like the characters and the story.

So you're a movie buff too? I'm with you. I love my Netflix subscription.

I have no idea why this didn't come to me before but I remember when Vinny did the Truck simulator he mentioned he was using a G27 wheel. I wonder if he'd be interested in looking at racing sims akin to the way they do the flight club. I'd be interested in seeing GB club races with everyone flying off the first corner before totalling the car.

I get the feeling that vinny doesn't really care about the simulation as much as just fucking around with it.

Seems more like a Dave and Drew thing.
