What did you call me? Solitary. A month!

Awesome response

Did Brad choose not to tell Jeff that Goebbels feeds his children cyanide pills in the movie or is that part not in the version he saw?

Maybe he doesn't want to bring down the Quick Look with tales of historical child murder.

(also sad that no testikills occurred)

Mostly that, though I was also worried someone would cry spoiler (but then, the idea of "spoiling" a historical event is laughable). That whole sequence is just horrendous. Almost unwatchable.

You spoiled the biggest bit! I wanted to watch it to see if Hitler made it or not and you're going on about his last days. THANKS, BRAD!

I don't understand why Brad left out the part where a bunch of mass murdering fascists and and their families shoot themselves in the head and destroy their bodies in order to avoid summary execution and desecration at the hands of a raping and pillaging conscripted army of Soviets! It was a laff-o-minute up till then and he skipped the best part!

Because of the content or because of the acting/directing/etc?

I've heard Dave mentioned for Sinper elite a few times and it just seems weird to me. For the few shooters that he did quick look (metro, stalker, cryostasis) he's not actually great at them.

Nope, which is why I'm curious.

It's one of the most competently acted out depictions of serious historical events ever. The guy doing Hitler is superb at what he does. Not that I ever met Hitler, and all the footage and audio of him is crummy and old by now so maybe that enhances the image, but that guy is Hitler.

Truly amazing film, anyone who considers themselves interested in the medium needs to watch it.

Oops, from the makers of Rogue Warrior, I assumed eastern block. Plus I thought Dave was interested in this game.

There from the UK, the company got successful and bough 3000 AD (also British), I can understand what you where thinking though.

That was good!

Exactly the same thing happened to me during the tutorial, I walked into the wrong direction a couple times and thought I messed up placing the land mine before noticing the new map marker. One of a couple obvious headscratchers where the game betrays its low/mid budget origins.

Too bad that Jeff isn't a big fan of sniping, because you know, this is a game all about it. But he was forthcoming about it and I think he gave the thing a fair shake so it's all good.

I actually also dislike sniping in most other games, but that's mostly because these games are set up so that other ways to play the game are usually superior. I think it works in this game because it knows what it wants to focus on and delivers that particular thing (and just that thing) pretty well.

With a better AI, this would basically be Enemy at the Gates: the Game. From setting up your vantage point by setting traps to picking off the infantry and duelling enemy snipers, it's got the whole thing. Really a shame that the AI is pretty dumb (yet superb crackshots).

Thanks for listening to people and trying this one, Jeff/Ryan. :)

Bruno Ganz, brilliant actor. Great movie.

No, I meant the scene where the Goebbels kill their children specifically. Brad called it "horrendous", but I'm not sure if that's meant in a good way (because of the horror of the content) or a bad way (because of how it was produced).

Ah, that makes sense. Although, I suppose it's good that we as a people can still be disturbed by certain images considering that Sniper Elite V2 has slow mo x-ray shots of bullets ripping through German soldiers' bodies.

That ME3 kid is the dumbest son of a bitch because everything he does is based on his line "You can't help me". What? Motherfucker, I'm the most famous person in the galaxy, I kill Reapers before breakfast, I'm about to get out of here on my sweet spaceship and I can't save you? It was the worst, most contrived, least believable reason for that whole thing to happen.

ME3:
I laughed every time the kid was on screen. It was one of the highlights of my time with the game.

Laughed the first time. But then it just got really obnoxious, especially
the dream sequences, fuck me, how could anyone think that was a good idea? You gotta at least know the characters first before you start caring about the, bioware

Wow, this is awesome!

"Poor man's Witcher..." I wish.

Man, I think the major thing that keeps me from ever playing MMOs are the ridiculous HUDs. There's just so much information to keep track of all of the time. It makes me feel like I'm looking at spreadsheets or something.

Yep, that and the retarded "quests"... at least Tera tries to do something a little different than the rest of garbage on the combat side, but thats not enough for me.

It's not that hard, really.

There is really not that much going on when I look at the Tera QL. I have seen way worse.

I just always feel overwhelmed when I see things like that, and it's an instant "nope" that goes off in my head.

Their brief discussion on the finer details of cultist names/definitions was great, haha.

Not the monthly fees? Practically anything but WoW is a wait until it tanks and becomes F2P at this point anyway.

If the game looked like something I could really get into, I might could justify fees. Mainly because I would likely only stick with it for a few months anyways, so it would end up being around the same price as a standard title at that point.

Unless they offered some kind of $300 lifetime membership program!
