Yeah in the end it seems Brad didn't seem to hate it that much, and I'd like to hear a more refined opinion after he gets even more used to the controls and figures out the intensity setting and plays around the the weapon system.
He said that he really likes the game at the start.

Kid Icarus is great. the controls are unintuitive, but they do click and work well. A bit like RE4's controls - unintuitive on paper and require learning, but fit well with the game. It's also shockingly funny.

Just got caught up on the Yakuza Dead Souls and Kid Icarus quick looks. The Kid Icarus QL made me order it. I had planned on waiting a bit, maybe for a price drop or offer but decided to go for it at full price. Looks so good.
Yakuza Dead Souls looks interesting too but I've not touched a single Yakuza game though.

When i was younger i bought it myself after reading some extremely positive review in a UK magazine, and it's by far the worst game i have ever bought new. I paid what amounts to 90$ for it (new game prices where i live) and i played it once before getting rid of it.
It's a divisive game if nothing else lol

Yeah, I didn't feel like they were unfairly disliking Kid Icarus or anything it was just frustrating watching them ask questions or make mistakes that the game explains to you.

-entering different thread to see tons of people in love with a game and calling it a goty contender, entering Giant Bomb thread and see people saying "I just watched the QL/listened to the Bombcast and it looks/sounds like the worst game ever made"

Finally another person that hasn't forgotten about Darkest of Days.
Farming Sim and Dragonball as mentioned above are great but nothing tops watching the Noby Noby Boy quick look.
Pacman Pacman button, the "boy house", watching them try to retract their boy, the parrot. Man that quick look was a magical experience.

You're missing out. It's easily the best game I've played in a long time, and I thought it was going to be terrible like the NES game. The ground control do take some getting used to, but they click fairly soon after starting the game. Still, they should have probably let people who are bad at learning new things use dual analog controls even though that would be slower and less accurate. Got to make things accessible!
Best Vinny laugh is Raving Rabbids. He laughs so hard Ryan has to ask if he's okay.
Which Raving Rabbids was it? I remember the moment distinctly, but was it the most recent one?
Not sure of the name, but it was the time traveling one. When they discover the goofy yells the rabbids can do, he completely loses it.
Ah right, I remember the screams, not the game.
That's not the full trope, though. It starts with people coming in from the OT and saying some variation of 'GB sucks at games, how can they not share my opinion on this game, credibility IMPUGNED', to which the natural response is 'that looks like the worst game ever made'.

Shame that quicklooks have become just GB version of a preview, playing shovelware or older titles should be common.
