Man, I was at the videostore last night renting Army of Darkness and I heard the following behind me.

"but I just wanna watch tv, why do we have to watch a movie?"

"it looks like a good movie, besides, you wont get to watch all of it anyway since youre going to bed early"

Just reminded me how awful being a kid was.

If you hated being a kid then you obviously didnt utilise all its advantages. I miss all the shit I could get away with when I was underage.

I don't love being responsible for the Bills

But, I get to have sex with myself without someone screaming don't touch yourself like that.

Ugh ... I'm happy to be an adult, but I kind of wish my roommates would get a clue.

My roommate plugged in a vacuum cleaner to a power bar with a bunch of other electrical devices on it. Naturally, he blew a fuse, causing me to lose the work I had going on my computer at the time. Then I spent about 5 minutes trying to explain to his girlfriend (who lives with us as well) how a fuse box works after she asked me frantically "How do we fix this?"

She didn't really seem to care what I had to say and called her mommy and daddy... who promptly told her the same thing I had. The funny thing is, the box is poorly labelled, so we had to play around with each fuse to see what line it was for (oddly enough, there was no visible damage to the fuse that had been blown). So we asked everyone if it was okay to check the fuses (there are 4 of us living here) and everyone said "yup", so we went ahead.

Then this guy's girlfriend starts yelling because her clocks went out. Well no shit, 2 groups of people just explained to you the concept behind a fuse box. It's not that bloody complex.

I dunno, I find adult situations extremely funny and in general they dont bother me that much. Like when my apartment was flooding it didnt bother me that much. Having a roommate is cool too, cause RENT IS CHEAPER.

Bills are bills, but ive been in debt so long and my heads finally above water a little and im feeling pretty good.

Kids are the ultimate disenfranchised.

Its a shame that more adults don't remember how frustrating childhood (all the way up to being 18) can be.

Yeah, shit happens, I understand that. I just wish my roommates would grow accustomed to real life. You know, like paying rent on time.

The other girl that lives with us isn't bad at all. The guy isn't that bad, does dumb stuff sometimes, but all of us do, heh. His girlfriend drives me nuts though. She's picky about everything. She has honestly complained about the outdoor pool that my building has because one, it's not indoor and two, it's not olympic size.

yeah ive got a pretty cool roomate. We sorta keep to ourselves but he likes DAoC so in passing we can make comments, but it mostly boils down to bills paid enjoy time off alone haha

So this guy is really no friend of yours? I know many people do this, but I find the idea of living with someone who I'm not at least friends with unpleasant. I had an apt. in college so I had no training in the dorms.

My penis is still intact.
I dunno, I miss the fact that nothing really mattered when I was a kid. You know, if I was fucking about at school or didn't pay attention or didn't boter turning up to classes, it didn't matter. I'm only going to get a detention, school will keep going and it was up to me if I put the effort into anything or not.

You don't get this luxury with work. I really miss being able to just not try when I was having a really bad day.

On the other hand, I hated school for plenty of other reasons, so I guess I don't care if I'm an adult or a child, both have goods and bads.

What I do ache for a bit is being a kid still young enough just to be having fun. Not having homework yet, school's as much fun as it is work, after school you just go and play with your friends straight away, ride around on your bikes and stuff. Too bad I wasn't aware of what was to come and couldn't appreciate it. Ah well, I'll just set my sights on retirement.

Man, I've had roommates that are just total jackasses.

I do want to have fun, but they've pulled some stunts that have cost ME some major cash. They've sometimes torn up furniture and shit from being drunk. That's fine and dandy as long as 1.) it's not mine and 2.) it's not somebody else's. If it is, then I'm partially responsible, even if I had nothing to do with it.

I've also had had roommates that want to stay up all night...and keep up everybody else with them! Ugh. Once a month, I could stand that. But I actually have to get up at 7 AM whether I'm sleepy or not.

It wouldn't be so bad, but after a while, it gets ridiculous to the point where I can't stand it.

I'm 23. I guess that qualifies me as an adult? If not, then I feel like I'm getting there. Responsibility is a fair tradeoff for being relatively free to do what you like.
