The GREATEST Madden of All Time (Madden NFL 07 for the PS2, Xbox, GameCube)

A great retrospective video on arguably the greatest Madden of all time that has everything you would ever want in a Madden title, detailing the different game modes and gameplay (such as improved kicking and leadblock controls) and how Madden NFL 07 even advertised itself better on its back cover than recent Madden entries with the deepest franchise mode ever.

07 IS the best imo. I haven't played every Madden tho. But of all the ones i've played. Honestly i'd rather play MVP Baseball 05 and Madden 07 than the Show 21 & Madden 22. To me they are mechanically superior to current sports games.

i luved the stupid Superstar mode in Madden 07. Where you could try to RNG ur way into getting a combination of parents that will birth u the perfect player lol.

Lead blocking was also clutch. And the fact that you could play whole season or career or whatever as any position. Like u want to just be a full back the whole time. Go head.

He's right. Madden 07 and 08 were excellent games. I used to play NCAA Football and import my dynasty rosters into Madden. I would end up playing 6 or 7 full seasons per year between both games. It was just so enjoyable.

04 was the best
04 had zero defense and it was a Mike Vick to 6’7 Brian Finneran Jetpack fest. I was playing competitively those years traveling all over the country in MWS (Madden World Syndicate) events. Nationals that year had guys putting up 100 points in 5 minute quarters. I preferred Madden 05 and Madden 08.

The last time I really played Madden was '98 on the Genesis. There was a massive bug where if you jumped and moved backwards no one could tackle you, lol.

Obviously, I'm a diehard NFL2K fan and am still miffed that the franchise was shot in the head after 2K5, but it's good to hear some praises for the better Madden football games. Heck, I still greatly enjoy playing Madden 92 on Sega Genesis, if only because I can run Walter Payton (cough, ahem) around every other player on the field like greased lightning. That, and the Killer Ambulance of Death, of course.

I'm not a Madden gamer, but I enjoyed watching this video. Holy shit, does he go into details. He knows his shit.

Looks like EA was putting resources back then 80/20 gameplay/graphics. Now it's 80/20 graphics/gameplay
