Finally finished the Turn X Skeleton and weapon pack. Now to figure out how to go about painting it. Best mobile suit needs best care.

The only truly bad opinion are DtL's. Utterly mindboggling. He HAS to be trolling.

He thinks Seed Destiny is good right? Is that the mindboggling opinion?
I haven't watched Destiny yet, although I already didn't like Seed.

But the world does take all kinds. Believing it to be trolling might just be a coping mechanism to shield ourselves from the horrors of reality :p

Seed Destiny is pretty damn bad. I have seen it at least 4 times, it's the enjoyable kind of bad, not Gundam 00 season 2 bad, where it's just fucked.

That's another I still need to watch. I started a rewatch from the chronological release date beginning of Gundam and have been, slowly, working through it.

So I've seen recently/rewatched:
The Gundam Trilogy
Zeta Gundam
Gundam ZZ
Char's Counterattack
Gundam 0080
F91
Stardust Memory
Victory Gundam
G Gundam

I've been putting off continuing since next up is Gundam Wing and I rewatched that a few years ago and realized how much I didn't really like it. From what I've left to 'marathon' I've never seen:
Gundam X
Miller's Report
Turn A Gundam
G-Saviour
Don't try and stop me.
Gundam Evolve (I've seen half of them I think)
Seed Destiny
Gundam 00
Gunpla Builders
Age
Build Fighters
Fighters Try

From what I've read it sounds like I'm in for a rough ride at the back end there.

Oh awesome, finally someone will take up watching gAGE I wish I could marathon it, it was such an epic experience week after multiple weeks. and Seed Destiny. Im on the final four episodes!

Orderedthis Gunpla starter kit and got it from the mail weeks ago so I decided to try it tonight I was intimidated cause of the marker but man even though I made tons of mistakes it was fun to draw the detailing even though it took 3x longer to make the kit. But holy smokes the DIFFERENCE!

Not to mention this one of the coolest kits I've ever put together I love it. It's pretty damn legit.

oh nice! you did much better then me on my first try using a gundam marker. (i ruined a $100 macross figure)

take a look at this if you need a guide or a few bonus tips:

oh nice! Thanks david.

I do need to get more tools like a cutter and sand, but I've got enough markers now to detail some older kits I finished, won't worry too much since they're unarticulated the earlier ones I did.

Builders and Build Fighters are tops. Sei Iori is awesome

this is the beginner set that was pretty cheap and has everything for starters if you're lazy like me:

i still use it though i got better cutters i haven't opened yet:

It's going to be awhile. I'm currently watching From The New World in my free time outside of following/covering Seasonal Anime. Then I've got, like, 50 games in backlog....

So finished Gundam X.

Pretty interesting show. It had a lot more emotional points in it than most other Gundam series. I kinda dug that vibe they went for in that regard. The rest was only ok sadly.

+ Loved the DX Gundam. It's design is great visually, might have to grab the MG of this.
+ Enjoyed the emotional plot points throughout the series despite them being not well expanded.
+ Supporting cast was decent, though once again not well expanded on. Quite like Toniya.
+ Their take on the Newtype theory was genuinely interesting at the end if quite simply said and done quickly.
+ Garrod, on reaction
shooting Charris in the chest when he opened the cockpit
was surprising and awesome.

+- Focus on what the world is like after a major war was a compelling setting somewhat.
+- Did not rely on the Satellite Cannon the entire time (though alot in the opening)
+- Used said cannon in interesting ways at least two times outside just one shotting everyone.

- Garrod's voice grates on my soul, even in the Dynasty Warrior Gundam games I thought so.
- Tiffa is an amazing uninteresting character to set a story on.
- Actual main story took too long to get going, once it did it was too quick and flat.
- Frost brothers start as an interesting foil, but just become pathetically one note.
- Gundam designs outside the X and DX are entirely too similar to Wing and G (same designer)
- Fairly uninteresting fights and situations throughout its 39 episodes.
- Garrod felt fairly flat. Most of the cast did, Jamil being such an important person was downplayed entirely too much.

Will watch a non-gundam show for a bit then jump into Turn A soon.

I looked X but my biggest beef with it is that after the first third of the show it drops a lot of the post-apocalyptic feel for standard Gundam war and politics. The opening made me want Gundam Mad Max and it didn't deliver.

Providence is one of the biggest wastes of a Gundam IMO. I feel it could have been amazing but something about it just doesn't click with me.

Putting Daryl in the promo art when he barely shows up in this arc. lol

People love him though, if it was just Io people might be turned off since hes such a massive douche haha.

The Providence... really need to rewatch its scenes in Seed. Barely remember it. The actual gundam looks awesome, the disc shaped funnel pod though... Also that amount of decals (assume water slides by the color?) don't know if I'm excited for that lol.

Also has anyone done anything with the Frame Arms series of models? They look kinda cool but seems like made for heavy customization.

So they're doing the same thing with Thunderbolt S2 again. VOD episodes 5-8 from March to June. One each month. In Fall 2017 they will have a movie version of the season, and a BD/DVD release.

It feels like Thunderbolt has basically replaced Unicorn as this studio's project, and like Unicorn, it is basically an annual 60 minute OVA "movie", except they're also splitting it into mini-webisodes for VOD money as well.

Maybe this is their strategy for Thunderbolt through 2019? No idea when the manga is ending.

Io is a lot better in this arc. I think the anime portrays him as being a lot more sadistic than he is in the manga.

I'm very curious how they'll end the anime since the manga is still ongoing. It looks like each episode will cover a volume, ending with volume 8. The current arc has yet to be resolved, though I suspect Volume 9 will be the final one

They might hold back and finish the arc in Season 3 instead if it is ending soon in the manga. Thunberbolt is clearly a longer term project than we expected when it was first announced!

Wait, is that you? Did you finally get married?! I mean, the date fits the gap in your post history...

No do I look like someone who would theme my wedding after G Gundam of all things. I mean I've been dating the same girl for 8 something years now we might as well be married.
But that is besides the point.

This is just some other couple that is a friend of a friend.

One day I realized that sadness is just another word for not enough coffee.
I knew it wasn't Shun. I knew it because for a second I thought it might've been Shun and that just proves it wasn't really Shun.
